Super Extended Graphics Array

(Super XGA) A screen resolution of 1280x1024 pixels, which is higher than the XGA standard (1024x768). The original SXGA provided a 5:4 aspect ratio rather than the more common 4:3 ratio, and additional resolutions were developed to correct this (see below).
