Verstehen (auch Verständnis genannt) ist das inhaltliche Begreifen eines Sachverhalts mit dem Verstand, das nicht nur in der bloßen Kenntnisnahme besteht, sondern auch und vor allem in der intellektuellen Erfassung des Zusammenhangs, in dem der Sachverhalt steht.
