When electronic installation 200 gets into equalizer adjustment mode in step 405, also can carry out other functions. For example, be included in the equalizer button (" EQ ") or relevant with it LED can light, got into equalizer adjustment mode with indication consumer electronic device 200.
In step 410, generate the tone that is used for first frequency band.According to exemplary embodiment, the control signal that is provided to sound generator 24 from processor 22 makes sound generator 24 step 410, generate the tone that is used for first frequency band. This tone for example can be generated as other predetermined lasting time of predetermined volume in step 410 tone burst generates. For example, this tone can generate according to the setting that is used for first frequency band of storage, and it can be neutral volume not (for example, the 0dB amplitude), perhaps is used for the nearest volume rank setting of first frequency band. The tone burst sound also can comprise ticktack or beeping sound short relatively when its duration begins. This type ticktack or beeping sound can make the user understand and generate and regulating which frequency band.Corresponding to the actual band of first frequency band (and this paper mention every other frequency band) is the problem of design alternative. For example, first frequency band possibly be the frequency band of 25Hz corresponding to centre frequency, and is as shown in Figure 1.First frequency band can also cover adjacent frequency bands (that is second frequency band) with predetermined amount.
In step 415, the user can determine to be used for to adjusted the volume rank of the tone of first frequency band.According to exemplary embodiment, the user can be in step 415 with control button 20 (see figure 2)s of directional control (for example, pushing rotation etc.) electronic installation 200 upwards, thereby increase the volume rank of the tone that is used for first frequency band.If with the directional control control button 20 that makes progress, then handling process advances to step 420 to the user in step 415, the volume rank that wherein is used for the tone of first frequency band increases an increment, and this increment can be provided with according to design alternative.According to exemplary embodiment, through provide control signal to realize that volume increases to memory 30, said control signal makes and is outputed to equalization filter 32 with the corresponding filter coefficient value of volume rank that increases processor 22 in step 420.This filter coefficient value can be regulated by equalization filter 32 and is applied to euphonic attenuation/gain, thereby increases its volume.
In step 425, the user can determine to regulate the volume rank of the tone that is used for first frequency band downwards.According to exemplary embodiment, the user can be in step 425 handles control button 20 (see figure 2)s of (for example, pushing rotation etc.) electronic installation 200 with downward direction, thereby reduces the volume rank of the tone that is used for first frequency band.If the user handles control button 20 with downward direction in step 425, then handling process advances to step 430, and the volume rank that wherein is used for the tone of first frequency band reduces by an increment, and this increment can be provided with according to design alternative.According to exemplary embodiment, through provide control signal to realize that volume reduces to memory 30, said control signal makes and is outputed to equalization filter 32 with the corresponding filter coefficient value of volume rank that reduces processor 22 in step 430.This filter coefficient value can be regulated by equalization filter 32 and is applied to euphonic attenuation/gain, thereby reduces its volume.
As shown in Figure 4, when user's decision upwards and/or was downwards regulated the volume rank of the tone that is used for first frequency band, step 415 can be repeated to carry out to 430.In case the user has selected to be used for the expectation volume rank of the tone of first frequency band; Handling process just advances to step 435; Wherein the user can be through clicking the control button 20 of electronic installation 200 (for example; Inwardly push) first scheduled time length, be provided for the expectation volume rank of the tone of first frequency band, said first scheduled time length for example is less than 1 second. If the user clicks control button 20 in step 435, then handling process advances to step 440, and its desired volume level is not arranged under the control of processor 22 and is stored in the memory 30.According to exemplary embodiment, equalization filter 32 is used automatically and should expectation volume rank be provided with, and with the signal of output first frequency band during normal manipulation mode, thereby balancer function is provided.
Suppose that another frequency band exists, from step 440, handling process advances to step 445, and wherein the user can determine to regulate the volume rank that is used for another frequency band.If another frequency band exists and the user determines to regulate the volume rank that is used for another frequency band in step 445, then handling process advances to step 450, and wherein processor 22 provides the control signal that makes sound generator 24 generate the tone that is used for next sequential frequency band. For example, next (for example, second) frequency band possibly be the frequency band of 50Hz corresponding to centre frequency, and is as shown in Figure 1.Through one or more predetermined inputs being provided (for example to electronic installation 200; Like the click control button of describing in the step 435 20); The user also can in step 445, determine to skip one or more or the residue frequency band (for example, from first frequency band jump to the 3rd or other frequency bands etc.).When the user determined to skip one or more frequency band in step 445, handling process advanced to step 450, and wherein sound generator 24 generates the tone that is used for next applicable band. Each tone can be generated as the tone burst of other predetermined lasting time of predetermined volume through the similar manner of top refer step 410 descriptions in step 450.This type tone tone burst also can comprise ticktack or beeping sound short relatively when its duration begins, so that the user can understand current which frequency band that generating and regulating.
From step 450, process flow loops is returned step 415, and wherein the user can determine to be used for to adjusted the volume rank of the tone of next frequency band.Handling process can repeat self repeatedly through the mode as shown in Figure 4 that the front is described subsequently. In this way, the user can be in order and is regulated the volume rank that is used for all frequency bands relevant with the balancer function of electronic installation 200 independently. The number of frequency bands relevant with balancer function is the problem of design alternative with the concrete frequency band that these frequency bands are selected. For example, the balancer function of electronic installation 200 can comprise ten different frequency bands that centre frequency is as shown in Figure 1.These frequency bands also can the predetermined amount of overlapping adjacent frequency bands.
With reference to returning step 445; If the user determines uncomfortable volume rank of saving in another frequency band, perhaps if there are not other frequency bands to exist, then handling process advances to step 465; Wherein electronic installation 200 withdraws from equalizer adjustment mode, as this paper after a while will as described in.Through predetermined input (for example, pressing equalizer button (" EQ ") etc.) is provided to electronic installation 200, the user for example can determine uncomfortable volume rank of saving in another frequency band in step 455.
Refer step 455, the user also can determine through providing user control signal to remove all equalizer settings.According to exemplary embodiment; The user can provide the long user control signal of clicking (long click) control button 20 through operating key 20 being pressed second scheduled time length in step 455; Said second scheduled time length for example is 3 seconds or longer, and it is in the click of being longer than first scheduled time length of in step 435, describing on the duration. If the user provides long and clicks in step 455, then handling process advances to step 460, and wherein all equalizer settings are scavenged into neutral volume setting. For example, the volume setting that is used for all frequency bands relevant with balancer function can be set as 0dB attenuation/gain or other intended levels.
In addition; Though not shown in flow process, the user has selected in step 435 after the volume setting, through another user control signal is provided; The user possibly be able to be chosen as the neutral volume setting that is used for this frequency band with volume setting; Said another user control signal for example is to click the 3rd scheduled time of control button 20 length, and said the 3rd scheduled time length for example is 2 seconds kinds, is longer than first predetermined time interval but is shorter than second predetermined time interval. In fact, be used for a frequency band neutral volume setting can be used for the different of another frequency band.
From step 460, handling process advances to step 465, and wherein electronic installation 200 withdraws from equalizer adjustment mode.According to exemplary embodiment; Processor 22 provides following control signal in step 460, to withdraw from equalizer adjustment mode: provide control signal to enable the operation that it is used for audio signal output or reception again to MP3 player block 26; Provide control signal that its outgoing route is switched back MP3 player block 26 from sound generator 24 to MUX 28, and provide control signal to forbid its operation to sound generator 24.When electronic installation 200 withdraws from equalizer adjustment mode in step 460, also can carry out other functions. For example, can close the LED that is included in the equalizer button (" EQ ") or is correlated with it, come to indicate electronic installation 200 to withdraw from equalizer adjustment mode to the user.
In another embodiment, during equalizer adjustment mode, pressing the EQ key makes electronic installation 200 withdraw from equalizer adjustment mode.
The change of the abovementioned steps of Fig. 4 also within the scope of the invention. For example, tone generator 24 can provide phonetic synthesis message during equalizer adjustment mode, for example indicates the special frequency band regulated at present and/or is used for the Set For Current of each frequency band.In addition, during equalizer adjustment mode, still can, the user be exported (for example, music) as a setting when regulating equalizer from the audio signal of MP3 player block 26.For this function is provided, can MUX 28 be replaced to signal mixer and realize from the two the output of audio signal of MP3 player block 26 and sound generator 24.In this embodiment, be used for not changing from the conditioning period that is arranged on of the audio signal of MP3 player block 26.New being arranged on when electronic installation 200 has withdrawed from equalizer adjustment mode comes into force. Also other changes can be provided according to principle of the present invention.
As stated, the invention provides a kind of equalizer interface that the equalizer setting can be conditioned via acoustic user feedback that is used for electronic installation. The present invention is applicable to the various devices that have or do not have integrated display device. Therefore; Phrase " electronic installation " or " TV-signal receiver " that this paper uses can refer to following system or device; Include but not limited to comprise television set, computer or the monitor of integrated display device, and the system or the device such as STB, video cassette recorder (VCR), digital versatile disc (DVD) player, video game machine, personal video recorder (PVR), computer or other devices that possibly not comprise integrated display device.
