背景技术
诸如用于显示在电视上的电视节目指南等的节目指南是常见的。这些指南通常允许访问在较长时间段(常常以周为准)上的按小时的节目信息。考虑到该事实以及许多常规电视服务提供商提供大量频道用于观看的事实，显而易见，在整体考虑时，电视节目指南可以包含关于节目时间表的相当数量的信息。另外，许多指南现在使得可以获得与特定节目有关的详细信息，由此使通过节目指南可以获得的信息总量倍增。

Claims (20)

7.一种系统，包括：
远程控制设备，包括：
运动传感器，所述运动传感器用于检测和提供所述远程控制设备的一个或多个类型的移动的指示；和
发射器，所述发射器用于接收所述一个或多个类型的移动的指示并且发射基于所述远程控制设备的移动的至少一个信号；以及
处理设备，所述处理设备被配置成接收所述信号并且发起在显示设备显示的数据中的显示改变。
8.根据权利要求7所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备和所述显示设备与所述远程控制设备间隔开。
9.根据权利要求7所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备被配置成：耦接到与所述显示设备相关联的显示控制系统，并且向所述显示控制系统提供输入以便影响在所述显示设备中显示的所述数据中的改变。
10.根据权利要求9所述的系统，其中，所述远程控制设备定义正交的主轴和横轴，所述运动传感器被配置成：提供所述装置绕所述横轴以及绕与由所述主轴和横轴定义的平面正交的法向轴旋转的指示；所述发射器被配置成：分别响应于装置绕所述横轴和法向轴旋转的所述指示，至少发射第一和第二信号；并且所述处理设备被配置成：接收所述第一和第二信号，并且向所述显示控制系统提供第一和第二输入，以便通过使所述显示设备在第一和第二横向方向上平移所显示的数据，来分别模拟结合节目指南显示利用的垂直和水平滚动功能，使得随后显示与所显示的数据逻辑上相邻的数据的一个或多个部分。
11.根据权利要求7所述的系统，其中，所述运动传感器包括一个或多个陀螺仪。
12.根据权利要求11所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备包括接收器，所述接收器被配置成接收基于所述远程控制设备的移动的所述信号；存储器，所述存储器存储指令；以及处理器，所述处理器被配置成获得所述信号，并且通过执行存储在所述存储器中的指令而发起显示改变。
13.根据权利要求11所述的系统，其中，所述远程控制设备定义正交的主轴和横轴，所述陀螺仪被配置成：提供所述装置绕所述横轴以及绕与由所述主轴和横轴定义的平面正交的法向轴旋转的指示；所述发射器被配置成：分别响应于装置绕所述横轴和所述法向轴旋转的所述指示，发射第一和第二信号；并且所述处理设备被配置成接收所述第一和第二信号，并且使所述显示设备在相应的第一和第二横向方向上平移所显示的数据，使得随后显示与所显示的数据逻辑上相邻的数据的一个或多个部分。
14.根据权利要求13所述的系统，其中，所述陀螺仪被配置成：提供所述装置沿所述主轴平移的指示；所述发射器被配置成：响应于装置沿所述主轴平移的所述指示，发射第三信号；并且所述处理设备被配置成：接收所述第三信号，并且使所述显示设备改变所显示的数据的放大率。
15.根据权利要求14所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备被配置成：使所述显示设备与所显示的数据同时显示映象，所述映象指示所显示的数据在包括所显示的数据的更广的数据集合中的位置。
16.根据权利要求7所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备被配置成：接收由所述显示设备显示的所述数据，并且将所述数据提供给所述显 示设备用于显示。
17.根据权利要求7所述的系统，其中，所述处理设备包括处理器和存储指令的存储器，所述指令能够在所述处理器上执行，用于选择性地将所述处理设备耦接到与显示设备相关联的多个显示控制系统中的任何一个显示控制系统。
18.一种方法，包括：
提供远程控制设备，所述远程控制设备定义正交的主轴和横轴并且被配置成能够由单独用户移动；
检测所述远程控制设备绕所述横轴的旋转，并且发射信号以使在远程显示设备上显示的数据在第一方向上滚动；以及
检测所述远程控制设备绕法向轴的旋转，并且发射信号以使所显示的数据在第二方向上滚动，所述法向轴与由所述主轴和横轴定义的平面正交并且所述第二方向与所述第一方向正交。
19.根据权利要求18所述的方法，进一步包括检测所述远程控制设备沿所述主轴的平移，并且发射信号以改变所显示的数据的放大率。
20.根据权利要求18所述的方法，进一步包括提供所述显示设备的指示符，并且响应于所述显示设备的所述指示符而调节所述远程控制设备，使得由所述远程控制设备发射的信号与所述显示设备相兼容。
