背景技术
蜂窝电话起初只是连接到语音网络的客户端装置。因此,手机(蜂窝电话的简称)用户可用该装置连接到语音网络,例如公用交换电话网(PSTN),于是形成该手机跟另一电话或电话装置间的线路连接。一旦形成了该连接,双方装置可用语音频带信号进行通信。在人们用两个装置进行通话的情形,语音频带信号就是通话人讲话的简单电信表达。在别的情形,其中的一个装置可以是机器,它能对语音输入作出回应,例如计算装置、语音邮件系统、自动回应单元(ARU,常称为“按钮音(TM)回应系统”)、或对语音输入作出响应的语音回应单元(VRU)。
近来随着因特网应用的增多,特别是称为“全球网络系统(在此文就简称为“WWW”,或“万维网”)的文本超链接集合(常称为“网页”)的应用的增多,新型手机通常包含一个上网的客户端(常称为“浏览器”)供手机用户上网(访问因特网)。在无线上网的情况,手机只是其中一例,对于数据网络的使用可能有某些限制,例如受到显示器的限制和分配给每类装置的带宽的限制。于是用通行说法,可说手机用户是用手机在无线网上浏览网页。
此文用语,“无线网”指的“网”就是普通万维网,但是带有这样的理解,即对一些上述超链接文本可能要做某些修改,以便于在无线环境中处理这些文本。这种修改的例子包括对用无线装置访问的文本的类别和数目的限制,一些用以减少用来表达这些文本的比特数的修改,或另一些为让文本更易于在无线访问装置的典型的较小的显示器上读出的修改。得到无线网页的一个简化办法是,将现有(因特)网页只保留其文字内容,而略去其原来所包含的图像和音频内容等高带宽成分。然而应该理解,这种修改并非在无线网上得到文本集的必要条件。
因特网是一种分组交换网络,而公用交换电话网(PSTN)是一种线路交换网络。尽管如此,新型手机提供了这两类连接,因为在手机和它的连接点处的基站收发机之间是用数字信道通信的。于是,语音先在手机中数字化,然后跟来往数据包一起沿着手机和收发机间的信道传输。在收发机中数据和语音如何分开,或进一步进入蜂窝电话服务网的原理是众所周知的,不需此文详述。从手机方面看,存在于其中建立语音线路的语音网络,以及接收并返回通向该手机的数据包的数据网络。除非另外说明,这里对手机所提到的应该理解为也适用于其他提供到语音网络和数据网络的无线访问的任何装置。
通常无线访问装置中语音连接和数据连接是分开的,这两种连接不能一起用,或者因为带宽的限制,或者为了便于收费和别的原因无线服务供应商会选择不让两种连接同时使用。然而很多无线装置已经能够让用户从数据连接几乎平滑地衔接到语音连接。例如部分手机用户可用其无线浏览器来浏览无线网页。
网页到网页的浏览通常采用链接来进行,一个网页含有跟别的网页的一些链接,用户选中到另一网页的那个链接(例如点击它)就可转到那个网页。有些网页含有的链接并不指向别的网页,而是指向某语音通道。它并不是包含指向另一网页的统一引用定位符(URL)的链接,而是包含指向电话号码的链接。其用途例如手机用其浏览器找到某电话号码然后拨打该号码。例如建立了一组表示可供选择的饭店的无线网页,其首页含选择树让用户可点击而浏览到树中对特定饭店设置的叶子网页。如果该叶子网页含有该饭店的电话号码的链接,用户可选该链接从而连接到所选的饭店。
因为通常无线装置并不同时开通数据连接和语音连接,该无线装置通常有存储器可将该电话号码从链接中存下来。为实现此,一旦用户选中指向所需的语音连接的链接(即要拨打的对方的电话号码),无线装置存储该电话号码,关闭数据连接,然后用所存的电话号码建立语音连接。从用户方面看,他用无线装置浏览网页菜单,选中通话对象,然后经语音连接,连到该链接所指向的通话对方。此时语音连接已开通而数据连接则未开通,然而应该理解,无线网络系统也能同样运作于另一种情形,即允许同时使用数据和语音两种连接。
有些蜂窝电话服务供应商让用户可以定制其无线装置以加快拨通电话号码,并提供附加数字让无线装置解释为对进来电话的回答,例如用户语音邮件系统。也有些蜂窝电话服务供应商让用户可以定制用户可访问的无线网页。例如用户可建立包含他常用的电话号码的链接的网页。
发明内容
按照本发明的一个实施例,在无线上网系统中,用户可浏览包含对音频内容的链接的网页,其网页由数据连接来提供,而音频内容由语音连接来提供。在具体的实现中,由音频内容引用发生器产生指向静态音频内容某部分的引用,并将该音频内容引用以在某无线网页上的或由该无线网装置经数据连接检索到的别的网页上的链接的形式提供到用户的无线网客户端。该音频内容引用和某音频服务器的电话号码就构成了无线网页上的链接,于是当某用户选中该链接时,无线装置就用该电话号码建立与该音频服务器的语音连接并将该音频内容引用提供给音频服务器,从而该用户就能经语音通道听到该音频内容引用特定指向的音频内容。
有多种不同方式可将音频内容引用提供给音频服务器。例如,可将音频内容引用作为分机号供给电话网络,而音频服务器可具有对打电话者身份识别能力以便从电话公司接收明确的分机号,而音频服务器也知:收到的打电话者身份分机号应被解释为一个音频内容引用。另一方式为,打电话的无线装置先拨打所要的电话号码,等待语音线路连接完成,然后以一系列音调将音频内容引用传送到音频服务器,后者已经程序设定在语音连接建立后监听这些音调并能把它们解释为音频内容引用。第三种方式,是将音频内容引用存在服务器端并在用户浏览启动电话通话的网页时将其与无线装置标识符关联起来。此情况下,通话系统使用装置标识符和服务器端存储的信息直接将音频内容引用与打入的电话关联起来。
音频内容服务器响应引用而提供的音频内容可以为几种形式。一种形式是静态内容,例如电影时间的记录,或将用户直接连到语音菜单结构里面的语音菜单而让用户不必手动浏览语音菜单结构。另一种形式是动态内容,例如用户新的语音邮件信息的音频列表。还有另一种形式是交互内容,此处根据用户进一步的输入为他播放特定的音频信息。更有另一种音频内容形式是实况内容。实况内容的例子可以是,音频服务器将音频内容引用解释为将打电话一方跟某内部语音连接加以连接的请求,也可用于以下情况:用户浏览帮助网页菜单并选中表示某特定技术问题的链接,导致用户的无线装置拨打某帮助台音频服务器的电话号码,此服务器收到用户发来的音频内容引用然后将它解释为一个请求,要求将打来的电话路由到能够处理该帮助请求的系统或个人。

具体实施方式
这里描述的无线上网系统可让用户浏览数据网络,并用经由数据网络提供的、指向音频内容的链接来经由语音网络访问音频内容。音频内容可为静态内容、动态内容、交互内容、实况内容或其他形式的音频内容。所述音频内容可包括音频内容警报(语音邮件、电子邮件、事件、日历警报)、音频形式的信息、音乐/无线电点播、路由来的电话呼叫等等。
采用此无线上网系统,用户不必浏览音频菜单就可访问音频内容。例如为让用户访问某语音邮件,用户须先拨打进入该语音邮件,输入密码后还要通过各种语音提示,以接收特定的语音邮件。然而按照本发明的一个实施例,用户可选择指向该特定语音邮件的一个链接,不必再采取任何别的步骤就可听到该语音邮件。
此外,有些音频内容可为动态的并跟随系统状态而变化。例如用户可能想访问语音邮件系统中新信息的状态。用户可选择指向新信息状态的链接,不再需别的步骤就可得到该新信息。而且,用户还可在该音频内容状态之前得到一个提示。例如该音频内容链接可将用户直接带到新信息的语音提示。用户就可在语音提示给出的选项中作出选择。
图1所示为按照本发明的一个实施例访问个人音频/语音内容的系统10。在系统10中,装置12设计为经由数据连接从音频引用发生器14接收数字内容,并经由语音网络连接到电话通话平台24。
装置12可为任何具有音频/语音功能且能浏览文本和/或图像的装置。在具体实施例中可使装置12经由数据通道接收数字内容并经由语音通道接收音频/语音内容。这类装置的例子包括手机、个人电脑、手持计算机、个人数字助理等。
音频引用发生器14可以是任何能产生包含音频内容链接16的项目菜单18的装置。每个音频内容链接16最好关联于电话号码和音频内容引用20。然而,在一个具体实施例中,链接16可只包含音频内容引用20。例如,项目菜单18可关联于一个电话号码而(其中)每个链接16可只包含一个音频内容引用。而且,一组菜单项目可关联于一个电话号码而另一组菜单项目可关联于另一个电话号码。应理解这种分组的数目并无限制。在所有情况,如果用户选择了项目菜单18中的链接,跟该组菜单项目18关联的电话号码就与该具体链接16所关联的音频内容引用20联用。这样,每个链接只须包含一个音频内容引用20。此外,在一个具体实施例中,装置可由程序设定来拨打电话通话系统并传送音频内容引用。
项目菜单18可包含可供选择的链接16的列表,这些链接都可为装置用户所浏览。此外,该菜单也可为多层次的,当用户选中链接16时,跟它相关的各链接的新的列表就可呈现出来。例如一个具体实施例中,用户可有保留信息和新信息两部分。当选择保留信息的链接时,所有保留信息会在用户的装置中显示为链接。而选择用户的新信息链接时也提供了到所有新信息的链接。于是,在项目菜单18的一个实施例中,可送达用户包含一个或多个链接并且可为多层次的文件。在一个具体实施例中,项目菜单可包含HDML(手持标记语言)、HTML(超文本标记语言)或Javascript文件。然而可以使用能够提供可供选择的链接的任何文件。
一旦音频内容引用20被生成并关联到音频内容链接,该引用就可和相关联的、由该链接所引用的音频内容一起存在数据库中。在一个具体实施例中,音频内容引用可引用一个具体的音频内容并存储在数据库22中。在此情况,数据库22的每一条记录包含一个音频内容引用和与它相关联的具体音频内容。例如,一条记录可包含用于引用具体语音邮件的音频内容引用。
此外在另一个具体实施例中,音频内容引用可以引用系统的状态并存储在状态表数据库24中。在此情况,一条记录包含一个音频内容引用和在该系统状态下的相关联的音频内容。此外,一条记录可包含一个音频内容引用和一个引用系统,引用系统指向跟该系统状态相关联的音频内容。例如,音频内容引用可表示系统状态中所有的新的信息。于是,数据库的这条记录可包含所有的新信息或包含指向所有新信息的那些引用。最好,如果能将指向新信息的那些引用包含进来,那么这些引用就是对每条新信息的特定的音频内容引用。所以,就可维护一个中央数据库,它包含了所有可能的音频内容。这样一来状态表就能从中央数据库引用并检索被引用的信息。而用户也能定制状态表以便包含任何来自音频内容引用数据库的音频内容。用户只需存入有关音频内容引用就可将所选的音频内容包含到状态表的一条记录中。也可知状态表数据库24和数据库22既可合为一个数据库,也可在多个数据库中维护。
装置12可经由语音网络连接到电话通话系统24。最好可通过公用交换电话网(PSTN)或语音IP网(VOIP)来连接。在一个具体实施例中,通话系统24可为Yahoo!公司网站的语音访问通话平台。然而任何能接收通过语音网络发送的音频内容引用的系统都可用于此目的。
在一个实施例中,音频内容引用20可作为电话号码的分机号传送给通话系统24。此情况下若能得到打电话者的身份,该分机号也包含在打电话者的身份内。例如,如果电话号码为“18006992466”,音频内容引用为“12345”,就将数码“1800699246612345”读入作为打电话者的身份代码。于是,通话系统24可从打电话者的身份读出电话号码和分机号。
在另一个实施例中,可通过进行数字收集来读入音频内容引用。在此实施例中,呼叫连接之时,进行数字收集就会收集到音频内容引用20。在另一实施例中,装置12可连接到通话系统24并等待指示应该传送音频内容引用20的信号。一旦系统24发出该信号,就可发送音频内容引用20并对它进行数字收集。此外在另一不同实施例中,系统24可由程序设定在连接好后监听发来的音调。音频内容引用20就可作为音调发送给系统24。于是,此系统无须用打电话者身份方案来解读此引用,也可收集到此引用。打电话者身份的一个潜在问题在于,当电话号码拨通时分机号也被收集到了,因为分机号是附在电话号码的末尾的。故而一个打电话者身份装置可能收集到敏感的或保密的分机号。然而,不在电话号码末尾包含引用,就可保护敏感的或保密的引用。
如果能得到打电话者身份就可用电话号码来识别用户。电话号码可用来核对用户数据库以确定用户的用户ID。此情况中让用户按其偏好定制系统。另一可能识别用户的方式是当用户输入先前建立的YahooID和密码,登录进Yahoo!的移动装置服务系统时。一旦登录进入后,通过跟用户数据库核对打电话者身份以确定用户的YahooID或用户ID,就可识别打电话者。这时,可用YahooID呈现用户个人信息。别的方式也可识别一个打电话者,包括与用户数据库核对(无线)装置专用的ID以识别用户。此外,任何别的相关信息,例如打电话者的地点,也可用来向用户呈现特定的音频内容。例如,打电话者的地点可用来产生一个所请求的当地的天气预报。
音频内容引用20也可存储在服务器端,当用户浏览到该网页就会引起通话呼叫,并关联到装置标识符。装置标识符的例子有装置的电话号码、上述用户ID或YahooID、以及装置专用的ID等。在此情况,系统24使用装置标识符和服务器端存储的信息,将音频内容引用跟打入的电话呼叫直接关联起来。
音频服务器26可为配置成能从数据库检索内容的任何服务器。在一个具体实施例中,音频服务器26能接收音频内容引用20,检索与该引用关联的音频内容,并将此音频内容返回到通话系统24。由于所需的音频内容与装置12传来的音频内容引用一起存在数据库中,音频服务器26仅用此音频内容引用检索该音频内容。除了包含音频内容的数据库,音频服务器并不必与系统的其他组件通信。
现引用图2,流程图显示了标号为S1、S2等等的一系列步骤,其次序为实施检索个人化的、目标定向的音频内容的这种方法最可能的次序。在步骤S1,可经由到用户的数据连接向装置12提供数字内容。这一步中,音频引用发生器14可生成包含一个或多个链接的文件供该用户点击或选择。
在步骤S2,用户选择对应于所需的音频内容的链接。此链接的选择就引起对通话系统24的呼叫,并连接(无线)装置12跟通话系统(S3)。如将音频内容引用当作电话号码末尾的分机号发送过去(S4),打电话者身份识别可收集电话号码和分机号(S5)。这过程接着就进到步骤(S9)。然而如音频内容引用未当作分机号发送,装置12得等待通话系统来的信号,才能传送该音频内容引用(S6)。此情况下,装置12会等待该信号并在接收到该信号时(S7)传送音频内容引用。如果当装置12还连在通话系统24上时,音频内容引用已被发送,数字收集(S8)将读入该引用。恰当的音频内容就被检索出来(S9),并呈现给用户(S10)。
以上的描述是解说性的而非限定性的。在此领域的技术人员在读了这里的披露会明了本发明的许多变化。例如系统10可为有线连接的,其中装置12跟通话系统24和音频引用发生器14通过调制解调器/DSL相连接。仅要求装置12能通过数据/语音线来连接。所以,本发明的范围并非由以上描述来确定,而是由所附的权利要求书和其全部等价范围来确定。
Claims (39)
1.一种在超链接网页文本中引用音频内容的系统,其特征在于,该系统包含:
经由一数据通道接收一音频内容菜单的装置,其中所述音频内容菜单由若干个音频内容链接组成,并且每个音频内容链接包含一个电话号码与一个音频内容引用,并且所述装置还被构造成经由一语音通道传送跟所述音频内容链接相关联的电话号码与音频内容引用;
电话系统,用于接收所述装置所传送的所述电话号码和音频内容引用;以及
音频服务器,用于接收来自所述电话系统的音频内容引用,并确定被存储的、与所述音频内容引用相关联的音频记录。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容引用包含位于所述电话号码末尾的分机号。
3.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容包含语音邮件、电子邮件、事件、音乐或无线电点播。
4.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容包含系统的状态,用于确定与所述音频内容引用相关的所述音频内容。
5.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括一数据库,所述数据库包含与所收到的音频内容引用相对应的数据库引用,所述数据库引用与音频内容对应。
6.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述音频服务器被配置成用一数据库引用从一数据库中检索所述音频内容。
7.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,用系统的状态来确定与所述音频内容引用相关联的音频内容。
8.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述电话系统被配置成将所确定的音频内容发送到所述装置。
9.如权利要求1所述的系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容引用包括一电话号码,所述电话号码用来连接电话系统。
10.一种向用户提供音频内容的方法,其特征在于,该方法包含以下步骤:
经由一数据通道向一装置提供由若干个音频内容链接组成的音频内容菜单,其中所述音频内容链接包含指向音频内容的音频内容引用;
在一电话系统中,经由一语音通道接收来自所述装置的对音频内容的请求,其中所述请求包含指向所述被请求音频内容的音频内容引用;
将所述音频内容引用提供给一音频服务器;
使用所述音频服务器,确定跟所述音频内容引用相关联的音频内容;以及
将所述音频内容发送给所述装置。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述请求包含电话号码和分机号。
12.如权利要11所述的方法,其特征在于,所述接收请求的步骤包含读出带有打电话者身份的电话号码和分机号。
13.如权利要求12所述的方法,其特征在于,还包含下述步骤:将打电话者身份跟用户数据库中的身份信息核对,以确定用户身份。
14.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述接收请求的步骤进一步包含下述步骤:
从所述电话系统向所述装置发送一信号;及
当所述装置收到所述信号时,向所述电话系统发送所述音频内容引用。
15.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述接收请求的步骤包含数字收集。
16.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述接收请求的步骤包含用一系列音调发送所述音频内容引用。
17.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,进一步包含下述步骤:将身份标识符跟所述音频内容引用关联起来。
18.如权利要求17所述的方法,其特征在于,所述接收请求的步骤包含下述步骤:用所述身份标识符将所述音频内容引用跟所述请求关联起来。
19.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,还包括:
产生一网页,所述网页包括所述音频内容菜单,其中为所述装置提供音频内容菜单的步骤包括通过数据连接提供所述网页。
20.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述装置包括无线装置。
21.如权利要求10所述的方法,其特征在于,所述装置包括移动电话。
22.一种通过电话系统从音频服务器访问音频内容的装置,其特征在于,所述装置包括:
接收器,它通过一数字通道接收一音频内容菜单,其中所述音频内容菜单包括一个或更多的音频内容链接,每个链接包括一电话号码和一音频内容引用,每个音频内容引用与音频内容相对应;
输入端,用于接收对一个或更多的音频内容链接中一个音频内容链接的选择;及
发射器,用于通过一语音通道将所选择的音频内容引用发送到所述电话系统,其中所述电话系统将所述音频内容引用发送到所述音频服务器,所述音频服务器确定与所述音频内容引用相对应的音频内容记录。
23.如权利要求22所述的装置,其特征在于,还包括音频接收器,用于接收所确定的音频内容。
24.如权利要求22所述的装置,其特征在于,所述音频内容引用包括一电话号码,所述发射器被配置为使用所述电话号码连接所述电话系统。
25.一种电话系统,用于为一装置引用一个或多个音频内容链接,其特征在于,该系统包括:
数字通道系统,被配置成通过一数字通道将一菜单发送给所述装置,其中所述菜单包括一个或多个音频内容链接,每个链接包括一电话号码和一音频内容引用;
语音通道系统,被配置成建立与所述装置的连接,并通过所述连接从所述装置接收所述一个或多个音频内容链接中的一个音频内容链接,其中所述音频内容链接是通过一语音通道从所述装置接收的;及
音频服务器,被配置为从所述语音通道系统接收所述音频内容引用,并且确定与所接收的音频内容引用相对应的音频内容记录。
26.如权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括一数据库,所述数据库包含一个或多个引用,其中所述一个或多个引用与所述一个或多个音频内容链接相对应,其中所述一个或多个引用中的一个引用与音频内容相关联。
27.如权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于,所述数字通道系统被配置为使用与所存储的音频内容相对应的一个或多个引用,产生所述音频内容菜单。
28.如权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于,所述语音通道系统被配置为通过公共交换电话网和语音IP网中的至少一个网络来建立初始链接。
29.如权利要求25所述的系统,其特征在于,所述语音通道系统被配置为将与所述引用对应的音频内容发送到所述装置。
30.一种为一装置引用音频内容的电话系统,其特征在于,该系统包括:
电话平台,它被配置成:经由一数据通道向所述装置发送包含一个或多个音频内容链接的菜单,并与所述装置建立语音连接,其中通过所述语音连接从所述装置接收所述一个或多个音频内容链接中的一个音频内容链接;
数据库,所述数据库包含一个或多个数据库引用,所述一个或多个数据库引用对应于所述述一个或多个音频内容链接,所述一个或多个数据库引用中的一个数据库引用与音频内容相关联;以及
音频服务器,它被配置成:接收来自所述电话平台的音频内容链接,确定与所接收到的音频内容链接相对应的数据库引用,并向所述装置发送与所述数据库引用相对应的音频内容。
31.如权利要求30所述的电话系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容引用包括电话号码。
32.如权利要求31所述的电话系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容引用包括位于电话号码末尾的分机号。
33.如权利要求30所述的电话系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容包含语音邮件、电子邮件、事件、音乐或无线电点播。
34.如权利要求30所述的电话系统,其特征在于,所述音频内容包含系统的状态,所述系统的状态用来确定与音频内容引用相关联的音频内容。
35.一种电话系统,用于为无线移动装置引用一个或多个音频内容链接,其特征在于,所述系统包括:
网页产生器,被配置成产生一网页,所述网页包含由一个或多个音频内容链接组成的菜单;
数字通道系统,被配置为通过一数据连接,将所述网页发送到所述无线移动装置;
语音通道系统,被配置为通过一语音连接,接收来自所述无线移动装置、所述一个或更多个音频内容链接中的一个音频内容链接;及
音频服务器,被配置为从所述语音通道系统接收所述音频内容链接,并确定与所接收的音频内容链接相对应的引用。
36.如权利要求35所述的系统,其特征在于,还包括一数据库,所述数据库包含一个或多个引用,其中所述一个或多个引用与一个或多个音频内容链接相对应,所述一个或多个引用中的一个引用与音频内容相关联。
37.如权利要求35所述的系统,其特征在于,所述数字通道系统被配置为使用与所存储的音频内容相对应的一个或多个引用,产生所述网页。
38.如权利要求35所述的系统,其特征在于,所述语音通道系统被配置为通过公共交换电话网络和语音IP网中的至少一个网络建立初始链接。
39.如权利要求35所述的系统,其特征在于,所述语音通道系统被配置为将与所述引用对应的音频内容发送到所述无线移动装置。
