Abstract

A dielectric ceramic, obtained by firing a barium titanate powder having a perovskite structure with a c-axis/a-axis ratio of 1.003-1.010 and an OH group content of =1 wt.% in its crystal lattice, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) production of a dielectric ceramic by firing the barium titanate powder described above; (ii) a laminated ceramic electronic element with an internal conductor between two adjacent layers of the above dielectric ceramic; and (iii) a process for producing the above laminated ceramic electronic element.
