Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Instrument zum Kastriren von Pferden, Schafen, Schweinen etc., welches aus einer besonders construirten Scheere besteht, an welcher ein Messer angebracht ist. Zweck der Erfindung ist, ein Instrument herzustellen, durch welches das Kastriren schnell vollzogen wird und die Sehnen, Puls- und Schlagadern so gequetscht werden, dafs sie nicht bluten.The invention relates to an instrument for neutering horses, sheep, Pigs, etc., which consists of a specially constructed pair of scissors, on which a Knife is attached. Bei Vornahme der Operation trennt die zackenförmige Schneide von B die Sehne oder Ader oberhalb der Hode durch directe Torsion ab; die weiche, breiartige Masse wird zuerst durch die zackenförmige Schneide der Klinge abgetrennt, die Fasern aber nicht früher durchschnitten , als bis die Adern erfafst sind und zwischen der Backe C und dem Aufsatz D gehalten werden. Ein continuirlich auf die Halter ausgeübter Druck wird eine vollständige Abtrennung der Fibern bewirken. Da aber die Zacken der Backe C in die entsprechenden Zacken des Stückes D eingreifen, so werden die Theile zerquetscht und die Adern durch die zerquetschte Masse verschlossen, so dafs jeder überflüssige Blutverlust, welcher gewöhnlich auf solche Operation folgt, vermieden wird.
