Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for spurhal tion-controlled steering of a vehicle, especially roads vehicle, according to the preamble of claim 1.
Ein derartiges Bildanalyseverfahren ist in U. Franke, Real time 3D-road modeling for autonomous vehicle guidance, Theory & Applications of Image Analysis, Hrsg. P. Johansen und S. Olsen, World Scientific, 1992 beschrieben.Such devices are already from experimental streets vehicles known. The position of the vehicle becomes relative to the road, e.g. B. with video cameras, detected and due to this Data regulated the steering of the vehicle on the road so that this keeps a certain lane. The road surface position solution can be supported by image analysis methods that the upcoming course of the road and the position of the vehicle rela Determine the roadway from a sequence of video images. Such an image analysis method is in U. Franke, Real time 3D-road modeling for autonomous vehicle guidance, theory & Applications of Image Analysis, ed. P. Johansen and S. Olsen, World Scientific, 1992.
The steering control rules previously implemented in experimental vehicles driving can be divided into two groups. With one Group is provided for the driver to switch between manual and automatic steering mode switches, the manual loading driven the normal steering wheel actuation by the driver, while in automatic mode z. B. by means of a genus moderate device the steering angle or the steering angle only a steering control device specifies without the driver being able to intervene directly. A controller enters the control procedures of the other group in addition to the driver applied steering torque that the Give drivers advice on the right lane or when they are released steering wheel also realizes a largely automatic drive should.
A steering device of this type is in the patent DE 34 14 891 C2 indicated. There can be between manual steering and automatic lateral guidance can be switched. The Einrich The device for automatic lateral guidance is connected to a hydrau liksystem of manual steering designed as power steering direction coupled so that the driver himself in an emergency can dodge active lateral guidance. For this he has a steering wheel actuation to apply a steering torque that is so large that the steering force thereby induced is greater than that is generated by the automatic lateral guidance control. Here the automatic lateral guidance provides a steering force value one that fully corresponds to the value that results from it summarized control deviation of the vehicle position.
The invention is a technical problem creating a Green device for tracking-controlled vehicle steering de, on the one hand the driver his intervention options in vehicle steering, especially for larger steering maneuvers retains and which, on the other hand, largely leads to constant steering intervention relieved.
This problem is addressed by a device with the features of claim 1 solved. The overlay of the driver's orange demanded steering adjustment with the control requested Steering adjustment by the steering angle adjusting device as well the limitation of the steering requested by the control device angle adjustment make it possible for the driver on the one hand control of major changes in vehicle steering holds, e.g. B. to perform evasive action or lane change, on the other hand, however, in particular to approximately straight or slightly curved sections of the usually constantly making small steering correction movements is relieved. With this device are consequently small Compliant steering movements to maintain a predetermined target value of the vehicle position from the control device keeping track performed while the driver has the opportunity at the same time to make larger steering movements that are in the control superimposed reduced steering behavior, retains. At the same time a very smooth transition between purely manual control steering behavior that is controlled automatically.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention according to claim 2 serves to maintain a distance from a lane boundary, e.g. B. a lane median, as a setpoint for the driving situation, the compliance with which is currently the case lying distance, the angle between the vehicle's longitudinal axis and the tangent to the lane boundary and the curvature the lane boundary can be determined.
A further development of the invention according to the invention is particularly advantageous Claim 3, the tracking of the target distance in one previous period set in particular by the driver Vehicle locations, d. H. Distances to the lane boundary, realized, so that different target distances each during a journey can be adjusted according to previous driving behavior. Especially Dynamic tracking according to the notes is favorable here paint the claim 4, with which the scheme sliding Transitions between unsteady travel sections, e.g. B. before can be adjusted during and after a lane change process.
With a discretization provided for according to claim 5 Steering aid control signal of the steering control device, it is possible the steering angle adjustment device is structurally simple and robust to interpret, especially what the connection between one there provided control unit and the associated actuators or the actuators themselves.
A very effective regulatory intervention can be achieved if according to claim 6, the regulation-required steering setting on the vehicle's front axle in addition to the driver's required length setting is carried out. It is beneficial if at the same time a steering torque compensation takes place, which prevents that due to of the control intervention changed the resetting force of the tires for makes the driver uncomfortably noticeable.
According to claim 8, the regulation-required len is also possible setting on the rear axle of the vehicle. this makes possible especially in the case where the vehicle is already with a electronic four-wheel steering is simple Realization of the device for which it is then actuator-side is sufficient, the existing electronic control unit by one additional input variable that the four-wheel steering an additional Chen pretending steering angle to be supplemented.
Es zei gen:Advantageous embodiments of the invention are in the drawing are shown and are described below. It shows gene:

The parameters relevant for determining the vehicle position are illustrated in FIG. 1. The vehicle, indicated by its center of gravity (S), its longitudinal direction (x) and its transverse direction (y), is in a lane ( 2 ) which has an edge ( 3 ) with a curvature (kr). The controlled vehicle is equipped with a device ( 1 ) for detecting the vehicle position relative to the road, which consists of a video camera with a downstream image processing unit. The image processing unit automatically determines the quality of the recorded video images and, therefrom, the reliability of the measurement values obtained, a signal not shown being emitted if a predetermined reliability limit is undershot, with the result that steering control intervention is avoided. To support image processing in difficult environmental conditions, the process can be supplemented by a precise electronic road map in a database.
Für die Regelung der Fahrzeuglenkung werden dann die beiden kinematischenBy the vehicle position detection device ( 1 ), the transverse distance (a) of the vehicle to the road surface ( 3 ), the road curvature (kr) and a yaw angle difference (dwg) is detected, the latter the angle between the vehicle longitudinal direction (x) and the tangent to the Represents lane boundary ( 3 ). The description of the vehicle position dynamics also includes the yaw rate (vg) and the distance (xk) by which the camera of the vehicle position detection device ( 1 ) lies in front of the center of gravity (S). The two kinematic are then used to control the vehicle steering
d(a)/dt=(vx+vg·a)tan(dwg)+vy+xk·vg,
d(dwg)/dt=vg-vx·krd (a) / dt = (v x + vga) tan (dwg) + v y + xkvg,
d (DWG) / dt = v x vg-kr ·
sowie die beiden dynamischen Differentialgleichungenas well as the two dynamic differential equations
d(vy)/dt=-vx·vg+(Svcos(wl)+Sh)/m+g·ww,
d(vg)/dt=(lv·Sv·cos(wl)-lh·Sh)/Izd (v y) / dt = -v · x vg + (S v cos (wl) + S h) / m + g · ww,
d (vg) / dt = (l v · S v · cos (wl) -l h · S h ) / Iz
Verschiedene daraus resultierende konkrete Beispiele von Lenkreglereingriffen werden nachfolgend unter Bezugnahme auf die Fig. 2 bis 4 näher erläutert.on the basis, whereby in addition to the variables already explained, the designations (ww) the (roll) angle between vehicle and lane inclination, (S v ) the front and (S h ) the rear lateral force, (g) the acceleration due to gravity, (m) the vehicle mass, (I z ) the moment of inertia about the vertical axis, (l v ) and (I h ) the center of gravity distance to the front and rear and (wl) represent the steering angle. This system of equations for the quantities (a, dwg, v y , vg) can be converted in a customary manner, which cannot be explained in more detail here, by a linear, time-dependent transformation into a control normal form, the exact form and parameter values of which depend, among other things, on whether the steering controller is on gripped on the front or on the rear axle. In this standard form of regulation, the determination of the regulation law is then simple. Various resulting concrete examples of steering control interventions are explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS . 2 to 4.
In the device for tracking devices shown in FIG. 2, vehicle steering applies, the vehicle position detection device ( 1 ) detects the lane ( 2 ), in particular via markings arranged there, optically and evaluates the data obtained. The output signal of the vehicle position detection device ( 1 ) contains the information about the actual distance (a ist ) from the lane boundary ( 3 ), about the current lane curvature (kr) and about the current yaw angle difference (dwg) and becomes a steering control device ( 4 ) and on the other hand fed to a target track sensor ( 8 ).
The steering control device ( 4 ) contains a controller unit ( 5 ) and a downstream limiter ( 6 ). The controller unit (5) in addition to the data of the vehicle position recognition device (1) data from the target track sensor (8) via an be observed target distance (a soll) and a signal relating to the instantaneous Fahrzeugge speed (v) supplied to the sor of a Geschwindigkeitssen ( 7 ) is delivered. In addition, the controller unit ( 5 ) is supplied with information about the steering wheel angle (lrw) set by the driver on a steering wheel ( 11 ). The supply of this information is optional, which is why the associated supply line is shown in dashed lines. The steering wheel angle (lrw) is also transformed via a steering translation unit ( 10 ) into a signal of a driver-requested steering angle setting (wl f ), which in turn is supplied to an electronic four-wheel steering unit ( 9 ) of the vehicle as a steering angle adjusting device.
From the input signals supplied to it, the controller unit ( 5 ) uses the normal form control equation system derived from the above equation system to determine a control deviation signal (ra) in such a way that this control deviation signal (ra) detects the deviation between the actual value and the target value of the Distance (a) from the preselected lane boundary ( 3 ) could be fully compensated. However, to ensure that this only takes place for smaller steering corrections and the driver still has the possibility of major steering interventions, the limiter ( 6 ) is provided in the steering controller device ( 4 ), by means of which the control deviation signal (ra) is limited to a steering aid with a limit on both sides - Position signal (wl r ) is transformed, which also leads to the electronic four-wheel steering unit ( 9 ) as a signal via the control-requested steering angle setting. The steering angle control signal (wl r ) is provided in this example and is calculated accordingly in the controller unit ( 5 ) to effect an additional steering angle adjustment on the rear axle in such a way that the actual distance (a ist ) is again the target Distance (a target ) approximates. In order to carry out this additional steering angle adjustment on the rear axle, it is sufficient in this example to use an electronic four-wheel steering unit ( 9 ) of a design customary in the market, in which only the electronic control unit is expanded by an additional input variable which gives the four-wheel steering the signal from the steering aid actuating signal (wl r ) specifies the additional rear axle steering angle to be set as the manipulated variable.
The steering angle setting carried out by the electronic four-wheel steering unit ( 9 ) takes place in each case by superimposing the driver-requested and the control-requested steering angle setting. By limiting the size of the steering angle control signal (wl r ) from the steering control device ( 4 ) ensures that larger steering movements requested by the driver, z. B. in lane changes, are not eliminated by the control, but are essentially set to the extent requested by the driver. In contrast, the driver is relieved of the constantly required minor steering corrections, which are reliably carried out by the steering control using the steering assist control signal (wl r ).
Die Nachführung erfolgt dann mittels der Beziehung:Since the driver retains its steering movements of greater amplitude ei NEN substantial influence on the objective pursued by the vehicle driving line, it would be inconvenient if the steering control is always on the same target value by adhering to a distance (a soll) will shut down of a lane marker. Because it is to be taken into account that the driver, for example, does not necessarily have the same route, e.g. B. wants the middle of a certain lane as the target course. For this purpose the device is equipped for tracking controlled vehicle steering with the target track sensor (8), (to a) with which a tracking of the respective desired distance command value is achieved. For this purpose, the target position sensor ( 8 ) is supplied with the actual position value (a ist ) from the vehicle position detection device ( 1 ). The target track sensor ( 8 ) observes the course of this actual distance value (a ist ) over a given period of time (T) and determines the minimum (a min ) and maximum distance (a max ) that occur during this period (T) and the resulting distance resulting difference (a d = a max -a min ). In addition to the time raumparamter (T), which is typically up to two seconds wearing be, is for tracking the previous distance command value (a soll (old)) defined even a width parameter (E), the ty pisch legally is set cm to approximately 15 °. The tracking then takes place using the relationship:
asoll(neu)=min(max(asoll(alt), amin-E), amax+E).a target (new) = min (max (a target (old), a min -E), a max + E).
This means that the old distance setpoint is retained if it lies within the window delimited by the lower value (a min -E) and the upper value (a max + E), while the new distance setpoint (a soll ( new)) of the upper window limit value (a max + e) is selected if the old distance command value (a soll (old)) lies above the window, and the lower Fen stergrenzwert (a min-e) is selected if the old Distance setpoint (a soll (alt)) is below the window. This measure allows the adjustment of the setpoint distance to be specified as the reference variable of the control to the previous driving behavior. Here, the target value (a soll) for the einzu regulatory transverse distance (a) at every maneuver of the driver from dependence on the current actual value of the transverse distance (a is) changed changed and only left unchanged when the driver the vehicle is already stationary without major Cross deviation controls parallel to the direction of the lane. To further the transition between unsteady travel sections, z. B. shortly before, during and shortly after changing lanes, the target track via ( 8 ) adjusts the initially specified parameters (T, E) additionally dynamically, the two parameters (T, E) each being reduced when the determined difference (a d ) between the minimum and maximum distance (a min , a max ) during the predetermined initial time period (T) the initial value of the width parameter (E) of z. B. exceeds 15 cm, and the Pa rameter (T, E) are increased when this difference (a d ) the initial value of z. B. falls below 15 cm. The time parameter (T) is reduced linearly by one second per second to zero, its increase by 2 seconds per second to the value 2. The length parameter (E) is reduced at 15 cm per second to zero and the enlargement at 30 cm per second up to a value of 15 cm.
If the controller unit ( 5 ) is supplied with information about the steering wheel angle (lrw) set by the driver, the control is carried out in such a way that the control deviation signal (ra) is determined with respect to full compensation of the driver's steering intervention (wl f ), ie ra = - wl f + dra, with (dra) as the actual control deviation signal, which becomes zero when the actual distance and the desired distance value match. The control deviation signal (ra) is limited in size by the limiter ( 6 ), e.g. B. so that it speaks a maximum steering wheel angle of +/- 3 ° ent, so that larger driver-required steering interventions (wl f ) are no longer eliminated by the control, but are used for steering angle adjustment. If what is alternatively possible, the information about the steering wheel angle setting is dispensed to the controller unit ( 5 ), the control must be robust in this regard, for which purpose a sliding control is used. In this, plausible estimates are made as input values for solving these equations for certain variables of the control differential equation system, in particular the steering wheel angle (lrw) set by the driver is best estimated on the basis of the measured road curvature (kr). With the control deviation signal (ra) thus obtained, the control is then carried out as in the case of the measured and the control unit ( 5 ) supplied steering wheel angle (lrw).
Overall, the device according to FIG. 2 results in a steering control with which an advantageously smooth transition between driver-controlled and regulated steering is achieved, the driver being able to intervene for larger steering movements, eg. B. for lane changes and evasive maneuvers, while the small, compensating, lane-keeping steering movements are reliably carried out by the control, which causes the existing electronic four-wheel steering to an additional union rear axle steering angle setting, with a dynamic reference variable adjustment.
Alternatively, it is for a vehicle without four-wheel steering possible, a control-induced intervention by Arrangement of a corresponding additional actuator directly to realize on the rear axle, being an electromechani cal, hydraulic or piezoelectric actuator used is cash.
Optionally, it is also provided to discretize the power steering signal (wl r ), for which the discretization unit ( 14 ) indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 2 can be provided. This discretizes the steering aid control signal (wl r ), preferably to a few values, so that the corresponding actuators need only be designed to set these few discretized values. Of course, it is possible, the discretization unit not, as shown in Fig. 2, se ready, but within the steering control device ( 4 ), z. B. within the limiter stage ( 6 ), or only within the four-wheel steering unit representing the control unit of the control ( 9 ).
As an alternative to the described use of the steering angle itself as a manipulated variable, it is also possible to use the steering angle speed as a manipulated variable. In connection with a possible discretization of the power steering control signal in this case, it is sufficient for. B. in a simple embodiment, three discrete values for the steering angular velocity, z. B. -0.5 ° / s, 0 ° / s and 0.5 ° / s, by the power steering control signal (wl r ) to set len.
As a further variant of the device according to FIG. 2 described above, it is possible to limit the manipulated variable by a corresponding limiting device on the actuator side, that is to say in FIG. 2 within the four-wheel steering unit ( 9 ), as indicated by the dashed-line limiting device ( 13 ) in FIG is indicated. 2, in addition or preferably in place of the limiter (6) provided. This actuator-side loading device ( 13 ) is preferably provided in a structurally simple manner by an actuator with corresponding setting range limits. With such an arrangement, the steering angular speed, for. B. with the three above discrete setting values, with simultaneous limitation of the control required steering angle setting, z. B. to +/- 0.2 °, use. By ensuring such limit values of the required steering angle setting of z. B. +/- 0.2 ° by means of a corresponding constructive design of the actuators used, safe system operation is possible without additional precautions, since the small control-required steering angle settings can be overridden by the driver at any time. If, in addition, the control variable is strongly discretized, this offers the advantage that the connection between the control unit and the actuator system within the four-wheel steering actuator ( 9 ) and the actuator system itself can be designed simply and robustly.
An example of a device for tracking-controlled vehicle steering, in which the control-requested as well as the driver-requested steering intervention takes place on the front axle is shown in FIG. 3. Here, the same reference numerals designate functionally the same components as in the device according to FIG. 2. In particular, the driver-requested steering angle setting signal (wl f ) and the steering assist control signal (wl r ) are generated in the same way, which is generated by the steering controller device ( 4 ). Also, the acquisition of this steering aid signal within the steering control device ( 4 ) corresponds completely to the procedure described for the device of FIG. 2, with only the parameters coming into the control differential equations being based on the fact of a steering intervention on the front axle instead of on the rear axle and are suitable to choose.
In contrast to the device of FIG. 2, the driver-generated steering angle control signal (wl f ) and the steering-assist signal (wl r ) generated by the controller (wl r ) are fed to an adder ( 15 ) for summation in the device according to FIG. 3, which results in a resultant Steering angle control signal (wl) is generated. This steering angle control signal (wl) then acts on a front axle steering angle adjusting device ( 9 ) which adjusts the corresponding steering angle resulting from the additive superimposition of the driver's side required and the steering angle setting required on the controller side. Also, as in the pre direction of FIG. 2 also a tracking of the Ab was setpoint value (a soll) ensured by the arrangement of the target track sensor (8) in the manner described for Fig. 2 ways.
Instead of the summation of the steering assistance control signal (WL r) for driver-generated steering angle control signal (wl f) in which the actuating means (9) upstream adder (15), it is possible as a variant, the steering assistance control signal (WL r) separately testified to the fahrerer steering angle control signal (wl f ) to feed the actuating device ( 9 ). An additional control element for the front axle is then provided within the adjusting device ( 9 ), which, by means of electromechanical or hydraulic adjustment of the steering gear, the tie rod or its articulation points, additionally to the additional small control-based adjustment initiated by the driver via the steering wheel ( 11 ) Adjusts the steering angle in addition to that specified by the driver. This additional control element can in turn be very constructively designed when a discretization of the power steering control signal is carried out, as described for the device according to FIG. 2 above. It is then also possible, in turn, to limit the actuator-induced steering angle adjustment in a simple manner by selecting an actuating element with a correspondingly limited actuating range.
A variant of the device shown in FIG. 3 is shown in FIG. 4, wherein again the same reference numerals mark functionally identical elements. The operation of the device with respect to the setting of the steering angle on the front axle corresponds entirely to that described for FIG. 3. In addition, a steering torque compensation is provided in the example of FIG. 4. The additional steering angle adjustment based on the steering aid control signal (wl r ) of the control system creates an unexpected course of the steering wheel torque for the driver, since a minor steering wheel angle adjustment that acts in the same direction as the steering aid control signal (wl r ) does not occur an effekti ven steering angle adjustment, but only leads to the fact that the control system takes back the value of the power steering control signal (wl r ) accordingly. To compensate, a suitable adjusting device ( 12 ), for. B. acting on the steering column electrical cal torque meter, provides an additional steering wheel torque which, together with the steering wheel torque (M G ) generated conventionally via tire torque, steering gear or power steering, results in a resulting steering wheel torque (M L ) which the driver expects again Gives a feeling of steering. Moreover, the described to Figs. 2 and 3 en alternatives and variations are possible also in the embodiment shown in Fig. 4 Device for Tracking controlled vehicle steering, in particular discretization respect Lich of the steering-control signal and the aktua torseitigen limiting the regulator induced Lenkwinkelverstel lung additionally or instead of providing the limiter within the steering control device. In addition, other common vehicle position sensor arrangements can of course be used instead of the vehicle position detection device shown. The main field of application of the steering control device is road vehicles, but the device can also be used for other steered vehicles.
