Abstract

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Katheter zur Einführung in ein Gefäß. Katheter dieser Art werden z. B. zum Aufweiten von Eng­ stellen in Blutgefäßen mit Hilfe eines aufblasbaren Ballons verwendet. In der Fig. 1 ist ein Katheter 1 dargestellt, der in ein Ge­ fäß eingeführt werden kann und an seinem distalen Ende einen aufblasbaren Ballon 2 für die Gefäßdilatation aufweist. Hierzu kann in einen Kanal 3 Druckluft eingeleitet werden. In einem Kanal 4 des Katheters 1 ist eine Leitung 5 geführt, die zu einem Ultraschallgeber 6 an der Spitze des Katheters 1 führt. Die Leitung 5 führt zu einem Ultraschallbildsystem 7, mit dem dreidimensionale Ultraschallbilder erzeugt und wie­ dergegeben werden können. Eine dreidimensionale Übersichtsdarstellung von Gefäßen kann bei der Katheterisierung direkt erfolgen, wenn zu den Ultraschall-Querschnittsbildern, die mit Hilfe des Ultraschallgebers 6 angefertigt werden, die zugehörigen Raumkoordinaten erfaßt und im Bildsystem einbe­ zogen werden.
