Abstract

The adaptor is fitted between pairs of electrical contact plates (16) formed in the track and positioned alternately on the two inner sides (3,4) of the lighting track. A lamp holder and reflector fit inside the track between pairs of contacts, with the axis of the lamp parallel to the axis of the track. The lamp holder has an insulated base (26) which fits inside the track, and carries female contacts which receive the lamp contact pins. The female contacts are electrically connected to the two contact plates. One contact extends to the end of the lamp base remote from the lamp, and the other is connected to the sheet metal reflector, which extends behind the lamp, making contact with the contact plate near teh top of the lamp.
