Definitions
- the invention relates to mechanical guillotine shears in an embodiment according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- a sliding sleeve is provided which is connected to the sleeve via axial tension springs and which carries cooperating pivoting latches with an abutment supported on the mandrel and a locking collar associated with the sleeve.
- the locking device is triggered by tensile loading of the guillotine shears by means of the drill string, as soon as the tension springs have undergone a certain elongation which corresponds to a predetermined release force of the tension springs.
- an upward blow occurs between the sleeve and the mandrel, which is used to connect parts, e.g. to release a rotary drill bit that has stuck in a ground formation from its jamming in the rock.
- the invention has for its object to provide a pair of snips with a particularly simple, low-wear locking device that enables the execution of upward and downward blows by the pair of snips ...
- the invention solves this problem based on a pair of scissors Claim 1. with the in the characterizing Part of claim 1 specified features. With regard to essential further refinements, reference is made to claims 2 to 7.
- the locking device of the guillotine shears according to the invention are in front of this a releasable in both axial directions blocking mandrel and sleeve against relative movement, said common for both sub-units of the double device spring means ensures that the A uslette- or Ausrastteil are the same in both cases.
- a change in the spring preload that is possible by simply replacing a spacer also alters the triggering conditions for both axial directions.
- the latching device has a simple structure which ensures low-wear work and which, despite the given dual function, only requires a small axial length.
- the locking device also works extremely reliably, since the sliding sleeves act directly on the spring means and the swivel locks experience a forced return in their locking engagement on the associated abutment via inclined sliding surfaces as soon as the parts of the guillotine shear return to their starting position after executing an upward or downward impact. Since the locking device has a common spring means for its two sub-units, the displacement path of the mandrel and sleeve between the locking position of the parts and their disengaging position can be chosen relatively large without affecting the axial size of the locking device, so that path and angle changes. Parts of the locking device remain due to not completely avoidable wear without practical repercussions on the specified disengagement conditions.
- FIG. 1 shows the upper section
- FIG. 2 the middle section
- FIG. 3 the lower section of a guillotine shear according to the invention in a schematic longitudinal half-section.
- the guillotine shear illustrated in the drawing comprises a mandrel 1 and a sleeve 2 which are telescopically displaceable relative to each other.
- the mandrel 1 and the sleeve 2 each carry threaded projections 3 and 4 at the outer end, by means of which the guillotine shears can be inserted into a drill string.
- a locking device 5 which in turn consists of an upper part unit 6 and a lower part unit 7 in relation to the orientation of the guillotine shears in the borehole.
- the lower sub-unit 7 is used to block pulling apart of the guillotine shears from the neutral or latched position and the upper sub-unit 6 is used to block pressing together.
- Each of the sub-units 6, 7, which are identical to one another, comprises a plurality of swivel bolts 9 arranged coaxially with an axis 8 of the guillotine shears, an abutment 10 arranged on the mandrel 1 in the form of a locking bush and a locking collar 11 connected to the sleeve 2.
- Each swivel bolt 9 is round each a pivot axis 12 pivotally supported by a spring arrangement 13 and provided with a thickening 14 at the free end, each of which has a first inclined sliding surface 15 and a further inclined sliding surface 16.
- the pivot bolts 9 are designed as longitudinal segments of a cylindrical sleeve and taper from an area of greatest width in the vicinity of the pivot axis 12 in the circumferential direction up to an area of smallest width at the free end. 14. In the inwardly pivoted rest position shown are 'die.Schwenkriegel 9, therefore, in the circumferential direction close to each other with their main part und.bieten an approximately conical surface.
- Each pivot bolt 9 has at its other end a curved end face 19, with which it is supported in a bearing socket 20 of the spring arrangement 13, and is additionally beveled on the outside 21 lying in the region of the pivot axis 12.
- the swivel bolts 9 are provided with a groove 22 into which a common expansion ring 23 engages.
- the spring arrangement 13 consists of a spring means in the form of a spring assembly 24 which is common to both partial units 5, 6 and which, e.g. can be equipped with disc springs, and from each subunit 6, 7 assigned separate sliding sleeves 25, which rest in the neutral or locking position with their outer end faces 26 on the beveled end faces 27 of the locking collars 11.

- the swivel bolts 9 of the locking device 5 block a longitudinal displacement of the abutment 10 which goes beyond a certain amount of play, since the oblique end faces 30 of the abutment 10 fixedly connected to the mandrel 1 with the surfaces 15 of the swivel bolts 9 of one of the subunits 6.7 in Plant.
- the abutment 10 of the subunit 7 first comes into contact with its surfaces 30 with the surfaces 15 of the associated pivot bolts 9 location.
- the swivel bolts 9 of the sub-unit 7 move upwards within the sleeve 2, their ring surfaces 17 sliding along the inner surface 18 on the locking collar 11, together with the associated sliding sleeve 25, with the formation of a gap between the surfaces 26 and 27; while the spring assembly 24 is compressed.
- the abutment 10 of the subunit 7 first slides back under the associated swivel bolts 9 into the position shown .
- the triggering force can be adjusted by changing the distance between the end faces 27 of the locking collars 11, which compress and pretension the spring assembly 24 via the sliding sleeves 25.
- the setting can be carried out by means of two socket parts 36, 37 connected by a cylindrical thread 35, which are countered with their shoulders 38, 39 against a spacer 40 of a selectable width.

Description
The invention relates to mechanical guillotine shears in an embodiment according to the preamble of
The locking device is triggered by tensile loading of the guillotine shears by means of the drill string, as soon as the tension springs have undergone a certain elongation which corresponds to a predetermined release force of the tension springs. After the latching device has been triggered, an upward blow occurs between the sleeve and the mandrel, which is used to connect parts, e.g. to release a rotary drill bit that has stuck in a ground formation from its jamming in the rock. The invention has for its object to provide a pair of snips with a particularly simple, low-wear locking device that enables the execution of upward and downward blows by the pair of snips ... The invention solves this problem based on a pair of
The locking device of the guillotine shears according to the invention are in front of this a releasable in both axial directions blocking mandrel and sleeve against relative movement, said common for both sub-units of the double device spring means ensures that the A uslöse- or Ausrastbedingungen are the same in both cases. A change in the spring preload that is possible by simply replacing a spacer also alters the triggering conditions for both axial directions. The latching device has a simple structure which ensures low-wear work and which, despite the given dual function, only requires a small axial length. Further details emerge from the description and the drawing, in which an embodiment of the Object of the invention is illustrated in more detail. 1 shows the upper section, FIG. 2 the middle section and FIG. 3 the lower section of a guillotine shear according to the invention in a schematic longitudinal half-section.
The guillotine shear illustrated in the drawing comprises a
The
In the illustrated locking position, the
If a tensile force is exerted on the guillotine shears from the surface of the earth by means of the drill string, the
If, after the impact caused thereby, the guillotine shears are to be returned to their neutral or latched position and the
The triggering force can be adjusted by changing the distance between the end faces 27 of the
