Definitions
- This invention refers to a light pipe with smooth surface in contrast to all light pipes in market, which have wavy surface. This resulted to losing 100/100 light of this pipe, because peripherally there were corrugations splitting the direct light from light beams of small lamps.
- the smooth light pipe is comprised of its main body, which is constructed by rubber (1), where there are electric cables (3) providing lamps (2) or LED with electricity.
- the pipe provides electricity through the spikes (4) surrounded by additional insulation (5) from parts (7a) of the cable (7) ending to a switch (8), while the end of the pipe is covered by a elastic cover (9).
- the connection must be covered by a thermo-shrunk material (6) with glue PVC, which with heat is applied completely at the ends (6a) providing excellent water tightness.
- the light pipe has the desired length with this form. It can be used for internal and external decoration of shop windows, squares, streets, terraces, and balconies in any decorative shape.
- the smooth light pipe Because of its smooth external surface (1a) the smooth light pipe provides us with the best light and its easy cleaning in that there is no dust in contrast to other pipes (16) with the wavy surface (1b) and corrugations (1c).
Abstract
Description
- This invention refers to a light pipe with smooth surface in contrast to all light pipes in market, which have wavy surface. This resulted to losing 100/100 light of this pipe, because peripherally there were corrugations splitting the direct light from light beams of small lamps.
- Moreover corrugations were dirty by dust and their regular cleaning was required. Furthermore in our light pipe there is excellent water tightness, because despite the material there is thermo-shrunk material and PVC that provide us with excellent water tightness.
- An application is presented according to the attached figures:
- In Figure 1 the frontage of an assembled light pipe is noted.
- In Figure 2 the sidelong part of a smooth light pipe is presented.
- In Figure 3 the sidelong part of a light pipe with wavy external surface is observed.
-
- Considering the figures the smooth light pipe is comprised of its main body, which is constructed by rubber (1), where there are electric cables (3) providing lamps (2) or LED with electricity.
- The pipe provides electricity through the spikes (4) surrounded by additional insulation (5) from parts (7a) of the cable (7) ending to a switch (8), while the end of the pipe is covered by a elastic cover (9). The connection must be covered by a thermo-shrunk material (6) with glue PVC, which with heat is applied completely at the ends (6a) providing excellent water tightness.
- The light pipe has the desired length with this form. It can be used for internal and external decoration of shop windows, squares, streets, terraces, and balconies in any decorative shape.
- Because of its smooth external surface (1a) the smooth light pipe provides us with the best light and its easy cleaning in that there is no dust in contrast to other pipes (16) with the wavy surface (1b) and corrugations (1c).
Claims (2)
- It is a light pipe used for decoration in squares, streets, shop windows, balconies, terraces and is comprised of its main body which is constructed by rubber (1), where there are electric cables (3) providing lamps (2) or LED with electricity.
The pipe provides electricity through the spikes (4) surrounded by additional insulation (5) from parts (7a) of the cable (7) ending to a switch (8), while the end of the pipe is covered by a elastic cover (9). The connection must be covered by a thermo-shrunk material (6) with glue PVC, which with heat is applied completely at the ends (6a) providing excellent water tightness.
The light pipe has the desired length with this form. It can be used for internal and external decoration of shop windows, squares, streets, terraces and balconies in any decorative shape. - A smooth light pipe used for decoration as in Claim 1 and its main feature is that because of its smooth external surface (1a) the smooth light pipe provides us with the best light and its easy cleaning in that there is no dust in contrast to other pipes (16) with the wavy surface (1b) and corrugations (1c).
