Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a multi-functional child care storage; and, more particularly, to a multi-functional child care storage as a customized child care product mainly for infants and their caregivers, capable of safely keeping infant and child care products in a centralized space and providing multi-functions such as a refrigerating/heating cabinet, a sterilization dryer and a humidifier or an air cleaner.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • In general, a recently improved standard of living increases an interest in hygiene more and more, and a declining birth rate intensifies an investment and an interest in children.
  • Moreover, with environmental problems and changes in dietary habits and lifestyles, the number of infants suffering from an atopic dermatitis and various allergic diseases is sharply increasing. Further, although a nursing hour per a child has increased due to a trend towards a nuclear family and a declining birth rate, time allowed for the nursing has actually decreased because of increased social activities of women.
  • In spite of those circumstances, household electric appliances mainly for nursing purposes or innovative child care products related thereto have not yet appeared in the market. Therefore, it is required to develop household electric appliances mainly for nursing purposes, for example, capable of hygienically keeping infant and child care products in a centralized space.
  • In other words, there has not yet been suggested an innovative device capable of reducing a nursing hour and a working intensity with shortened caregiver's moving lines by safely keeping the infants and childcare products in a centralized space and providing multi-functions of a sterilizer for preventing various diseases, a humidifier or an air cleaner for a child's room or the like.
  • Currently, for example, since breast milk, formula, infant medical supplies, infant foods or the like are stored together with other various groceries in a conventional refrigerator in a kitchen, smells are mixed and a hygienic condition is deteriorated. Therefore, a caregiver needs to constantly move to a place where the refrigerator is placed during nursing, which increases the nursing hour and the working intensity.
  • Besides, many of the baby foods need to be heated so that a baby can immediately eat. To do so, conventionally, the caregiver needs to move to a place where the microwave oven is placed.
  • Meanwhile, since infants have a weak immunity against various germs, there is a need to sterilize infant products such as feeding bottles, infant feeding sets, gauzes, handkerchiefs, toys or the like. However, most of the caregivers keep using the infant products without sterilization because of difficulties therein and a time required therefor, so that negative effects on infant health may be caused.
  • Recently, a sterilizer for use in a kitchen or the like has spread to households. However, a conventional sterilizer is designed to be suitable for kitchenware and cookware and thus inappropriate for the sterilization of the infant products. That is, a sterilizer mainly for infant products has not been provided yet.
  • Further, in most cases, in order to control a humidity of a room where infants mainly stay, a general humidifier needs to be additionally purchased.
  • Furthermore, an additional household air cleaner is needed to make an indoor space where infants stay pleasant and hygienic, which also requires extra costs. Since, however, the general air cleaner is designed to remove indoor contamination sources for grown-ups, it may be inappropriate to be used for infants.
  • If necessary, it is possible to additionally purchase and install a refrigerator, a sterilizer, a humidifier or an air cleaner in a baby room for the nursing. However, this is not reasonable due to a high purchase cost and a low space utilization.
  • As a result, there arises a need for a multi-functional child care products capable of safely storing infants and child care products in a centralized space while providing a function of a humidifier or an air cleaner for the baby room as well.
  • With reference to Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 10-2004-71011, entitled “Showcase Refrigerator”, there is provided a product capable of serving as a water purifier, a sterilizer and a heating cabinet. Such a product serves multi-functions of devices mainly used for restaurant business places. However, since it is used for the business place, it is inappropriate for the infant products.
  • In addition, “Baby Bottle and Infant Utensils Ultraviolet Sterilizer” disclosed in Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 10-2003-92985 discloses a product capable of sterilizing feeding bottles only among the infant products. However, such product is configured in a size allowing only a small quantity of feeding bottles to be sterilized and thus inappropriate to be regularly used for sterilizing various infant products.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is, therefore, an object of the present invention to provide a multi-functional child care storage serving multi-functions of a refrigerating/heating compartment and a sterilization drier as well as a humidifier or an air cleaner, capable of safely keeping products for child care in a centralized space and also providing a function of a humidifier or an air cleaner for a place where a child mainly stays.
  • In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a multi-functional child care storage, including: a plurality of functional parts, wherein the plurality of the functional parts have: a refrigerating/heating compartment for keeping therein an infant product and/or a child care product at a proper temperature; a sterilizing/drying compartment for sterilizing, drying and keeping the infant product and/or the child care product hygienically; and a humidifying device for controlling an indoor humidity.
  • In accordance with another preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a multi-functional child care storage including: a plurality of functional parts partitioned by partition walls, wherein the functional parts have: a refrigerating/heating compartment for keeping therein an infant product and/or a child care product at a proper temperature; a sterilizing/drying compartment for sterilizing, drying and keeping the infant product and/or the child care product hygienically; and an air cleaning device for cleaning indoor air.
