  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to flushable wet wipes comprised of average materials. More particularly, the invention relates to the design, shape, size and functionality of the flushable wet wipe. The designs potential improves the reach mobility during the cleansing process. The wipe is particularly useful in cleansing the anal, vaginal, perineal areas of the body.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • Wet wipes or toweletts, have generally been produced to be held in the hand and used to cleanse body areas within the limits of the individual using the wipe.
  • Personal flushable wet wipes have become an important and convenient product with many uses in our society and everyday life. Some of the disposable products range from feminine care, adult incontinent care and infant care. Wet wipes are used world wide for facial, body, skin cleansing and conditioning treatments.
  • These wet or dry wipes can be found to have multi-layers, woven or non-woven materials, web structures and fibrous degrees of orientation to achieve strength in the wipe and also aid in the disposability or dissolving of the product in water. Compositions found on these wipes fight perineal dermatitis, have contamination sensors, are non-stinging, reduces irritation, prohibits the forming of ammonia from urine and mild enough for infant use.
  • For example. U.S. Pat. No. 5,648,083 to Blieszner, describes compositions on Dersonal cleansing wipe, which fights perineal dermatitis.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,440,437 to Krzysik, describes wet wipe, which enhances skin health.
    U.S. Pat. No. 5,256,417 to Koltisko, describes water dispersible towelette made of non-woven fibers add wet strength.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,610,174 to Sun, describes high wet performance webs used in dry or pre-moistened state to produce good strength towelette.
    U.S. Pat. No. 5,916,678 to Jackson, describes multi-component fibers of non-woven webs produce wipes and personal care articles which are degradable in water.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,844,303 to Lanize, describes porous sheet and composition on wet wine that is non-stinging to the skin and reduces skin irritation.
    U.S. Pat. No. 5,252,332 to Goldstein, describes pre-moistened non-woven towlette with rapid disintegration in water.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,926,931 to Qashou, describes a non-woven dry or wet wipe article for use in skin/facial cleaning or household purposes.
    U.S. Pat. No. 7,069,629 to Bureess, describes fibrous matrix, lightweight non-woven wide with improved strength for personal cleansing and surface cleaning.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,891,079 to Koenig, describes a wipe containing a urease inhibitor, which reduces the production of ammonia from urine.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,441,826 to Durden, describes a wipe or towelette with improved cleansing ability, mild and conducive for baby or infant.
    U.S. Pat. No. 6,501,002 to Roe, describes a disposable surface wipe with a contamination sensor, which indicates when a surface is free from body waste.

  • The current wet wipe or towlette industry addresses the personal wipe from the point of use in the hands of the user cleansing an infant or cleansing an immobile individual or in the hands of the user cleansing him/herself with effective reach potential.
  • The present invention is particularly to the design of the flushable wet wipe. The Glory Wipe as it is called has been designed to address the needs of users who have limited range of motion while cleansing personal areas of the body.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • GLORY WIPES is made of typical quality flushable personal wipe and/or medicated pad components and materials. Designed to provide users with an adult-sized long, narrow personal wipe that is easier to use, especially for those with limited hand/arm mobility, they help users clean the anal and other areas that may otherwise be hard to reach and effectively cleanse.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING
  • FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of the flushable adult personal wipe pad in its creation stage. The width of the GLORY WIPES as the product is called, is six inches in creation and has been designed to be folded at the center of the width, along the length of the wipe, thus creating a three-inch, final width adult wipe. The length of GLORY WIPES is sixteen inches. Holes at either end of the personal wipe are added.
  • FIG. 2 is a front outlook view of the GLORY WIPES in the completed stage. The wipe is three inches in width (folded from six inches to add strength) the length of the wipe is sixteen inches. A four-inch loop strap has been added to holes at either end of the personal wipe, the four-inch loop straps will be productive for hand/finger gripping of the wipe and manipulation.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • GLORY WIPES is made of typical quality flushable personal wipe and/or medicated pad components and materials. Designed to provide users with an adult-sized long, narrow personal wipe that is easier to use, especially for those with limited hand/arm mobility, they help users clean the anal and other areas that may otherwise be hard to reach and effectively cleanse.
  • Each GLORY WIPE pad will measure 16″ long and have a fold along the length of the wipe (for strength) that reduce its 6″ open width to 3″ finish width. A hole at either end of the pad attaches a 4″ loop strap (8″ open loop length). The 4″ loop provides for hand/finger gripping, which makes it even easier to manipulate the wipe.
  • In use, the wipe is placed between the legs and pulled up so as to come in contact with the anal/perineal/genital area. By placing hand/fingers in each of the end loop straps, GLORY WIPES can be easily moved back and forth over these areas to clean them thoroughly. The back and forth cleaning method is recommended for men only. Women, however, would manipulate the wipe in a backward cleaning movement toward the anal area only to prevent bacterial contamination to the vaginal area. GLORY WIPES are ideal for the elderly and those who need to enhance or extend their reach for such cleaning tasks.

Claims (3)

1. A personal flushable hygiene wipe, comprising: a fabric sheet 16 inches in length and have a fold along the length of the wipe which reduces its 6 inches in width to 3 inches in width, wherein the 3 inch width provides strength; wherein a hole at either end of the wipe pad attaches a 4 inch loop strap, wherein the open loop strap is 8 inches in length.
2. The personal flushable hygiene wipe of claim 1, wherein the fabric sheet 16 inches in length, 3 inches in width and 4 inch loop straps at either end, wherein the loop straps allow hand or finger gripping which extends the reaching potential of its user.
3. The personal flushable hygiene wipe of claim 1, wherein the fabric sheet 16 inches in length and 3 inches in width consists of typical quality flushable wet wipe components and materials, wherein the wipe maybe useful in cleansing anal, vaginal and perineal areas of the body.
