Abstract
The scope of this invention is to provide an oval portable button cover that is placed behind an affixed button by sliding it downward. The button cover is cut out at the bottom rear center that is wide enough to allow it to slide down around the thread behind the button. The top edge of the cutout section at the rear of the button cover prevents the button from sliding through completely. As such the button and thread maintain their integrity without damage to either. The Portable Button Cover is removed by simply sliding the button cover upward and still not damaging the button or the thread.
The Portable Button Cover when in place affords an outstanding alternative appearance with various color options.
Description
- This invention relates to a Portable Button Cover for any article of clothing using buttons.
- It is the object of this invention to provide a device that is portable not permanently attached to a button in such a way that it maintains its temporary position by virtue of its construction. The device is an oval vertical tube, slightly larger than a button, open at both ends, and cut out in such a way as to allow the Portable Button Cover to slide downward behind the button through the rear slot into position and not damaging the button thread. The partial cutout slot at the rear of the cover prevents the cover from completely sliding downward after the button is affixed by the wearer. The Portable Button Cover will remain in place. The Portable Button Cover is removed by sliding the Portable Button Cover upward without damaging the button or the thread that affixes the button to the apparel.
- The button cover can be constructed using a variety of material ie. plastic, wood, metal or any synthetic product and into any shape ie. round, square, triangle, oval or multisided. Any combination of colors would enhance the appearance of the apparel.
- It is another object of this invention to provide a portable Button Cover set forth in the specification and claims which is inexpensive to manufacture, simple in construction and well adapted for the purpose for which it is intended.
- The instant invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings illustrating the portable button cover device.
- In the drawings:
-
FIG. 1 is an elevation view of an ordinary button in place. -
FIG. 2 is a front upright view of the Button Cover. -
FIG. 3 is a vertical view from the rear facing the rear half of the Button Cover revealing the cutout section to surround the button thread. -
FIG. 4 is a vertical frontal view of the rear half of the button cover with cutout to slide down behind the button. -
FIG. 5 is a frontal view facing the rear of the Button Cover and behind the affixed button ready to be placed down behind the button. -
FIG. 6 is a frontal vertical view of the Button Cover pushed downward halfway through the cutout. -
FIG. 7 is a frontal vertical view of the rear half of the Button Cover reaching its destination up to the top limit of the horizontal part of the cutout. -
FIG. 8 is a horizontal photo of a piece of apparel having 4 buttons attach to cloth. -
FIG. 9 is a horizontal photo of a piece of apparel having two of the four buttons covered with Button Covers. -
FIG. 10 is a horizontal photo of a piece of apparel. with all four buttons covered with Button Covers.
