IMPROVED BOTTLE-LOCK.

T0 ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Be it'known that I, LEANDER LEHMAN, of'Harrisburg, `in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. new and improved Mode'ot' Locking and Corking Bottles; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the aceompanying'drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. Y
The nature of my invention consists in providing the bottle with a. top made of brass or other material, which is locked upon the neck ofthe bottle by Ineensr of a band passing round the-neck, below the lip, which band is locked by a small screw-bolt, having a head fitted and shaped for and which can be opened only by e` 4key. This is done by means of a flange or lip extending o ut from the band a on three sides ot the nut, and
titting gloselyto each of these three sides, so that thenut cannot be turned, but remains fixed and stationary, or the thread for the screw-bolt may be cut in the projecting part of the band a, and the nut dispensed with.
' The lock is made water-tight by an India-rubber ring, whichis placed between the lock and bottle. What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isl.v A deli-locking bottle-stopper, when' thev cover is secured by means of a springdock and `hasp, substantially as described.v
2. Securing the same to the bottle by means of the band a, the ends of Vivhich are fastened together bythe protected screw-blt g, in the manner described.
