Be it known that I, M. Gleise, of New York, in the county ol' New York, and State (if-New York, have invented a new and improved Receptacle for Watch- Keys, and other Articles; and I do herel'iy'declare that thc )following is a t'ull, cle-ar, and exact description thereof, which will enable others Skilled in the art to make and use the same, rel'erence being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specilication, in which- Figure il represents a plan or top view oi' my improved receptacle.

And it consists o1' a circular cover, providedwith an aperture of thc same size as one of, the co1npartments in the stationary circular' or polygonal box, and adapted to be rotated around its central pivoting-pin, whose head is enlarged, and marked or numbered vto correspond with the number' oi' compartments in the stationary box. By forming the cover' so as to bring its aperture in linel with any one of the marks or names on the head, the contents of that compartment which contains the articles indicated will be displayed, and can be reached.

A, in the drawing, represents a circular or polygonal box, made of wood or other suitable materia-l.

In its centre projects a pillar, B, which forms the bearing f'or a screw or pin, .0, by means ot' which the cover D is pivoted.'

The pin C is stationary with the box, while the cover can be freely turned around it.

The interior of the box is, by mea-ns of a series oi' vertical partitions, a a, shown by dotted lines in iig. l,

divided into an equal number of compartments.

The cover .D has a slot or recess, b, cnt into it, as large as one ofthe compartments oi' the box. By turningthe cover the said slot ori-cci can be brought above any one desired comparti nent, to disclose its contents.

The pin C has a head, c, i'orincd on n., abovrI the cover, which head is enlarged to receive a series oi marks, figures, or inscriptions, one above and lor eac-li compartment of the box, to indicate. the contents ol the saine.

I ani aware that a round box, divided inl'o compartments, like mine, has already been arrangfn'l, rolatinj'r under a stationary cover, but it is evident that it is much more convenient to,'turn the licht cover tha-n thc heavy box, and, moreover, the marks on the head o makes my box, unless it is madcoi' still more convenient; and
