Abstract

Connecteur permettant de relier une unité de stockage externe à un ordinateur conçu pour utiliser une carte mémoire comme module mémoire externe, la liaison s'effectuant par l'intermédiaire de la connexion prévue pour la carte mémoire. Le boîtier (4) d'un connecteur de type carte (2) présente extérieurement une forme et des dimensions correspondant essentiellement à celles d'une carte mémoire standard. Après l'introduction du boîtier (4) dans un connecteur de carte mémoire (22) d'un ordinateur personnel (200), ce dernier est relié à une unité de disque dur (210) par un câble (36) s'étendant du boîtier (4) du connecteur de type carte (2), ce qui assure la transmission bidirectionnelle de données entre l'ordinateur personnel (200) et l'unité de disque dur (210).
