Abstract

The present invention discloses a method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for organizing information. In accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention, a category is received from a computer user. A ranked list of information about the received category is created by using one or more sources that evaluate the received category. The first embodiment of the invention has utility for providing users with relevant documents and for ranking information in a more efficient manner. In accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention, information about network research is received from a computer user. An electronic briefcase is provided, and the electronic briefcase is designed to store the received information. The received information is stored in the provided electronic briefcase. The second embodiment of the invention has utility for storing web resources and for storing documentation about those web resources.
