Description

WIRELESS INTERNET DISPLAY SIMULATION METHOD
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates geneially to a method foi pioudmg wneless
Internet on-screen display to wired Internet web biowsei and in paiticular aims to allow Internet users to review the ways the web page is displayed on a mobile terminal such as PDΛ smait phone etc without the need ot using e\pensι\ e PDA. smart phone etc b\ pioviding images of the web page dιspla\ed on the mobile teiminal b\ using the web browser oi wπe-netwoiked personal computei
Background of the Invention
As the Internet has become widespread and use of mobile communication terminal has diasticalh inci eased lecently the Internet

the web biowsei mounted in the mobile terminal but also the gatewax shall be the same as the mobile terminal s standards
The standards of the browser cuirenth in use as mounted in a mobile teiminal have various forms such as HTML which is used in desktop PCs, HDML (Handheld Device Markup Language), and WML (Wireless Maikup Language) which are modified versions of HTML for better display on a mobile terminal, etc
On wireless Internet market the contents piovideis enjov the ad antage that the .") contents thev have piovided so fai for the conventional wned communication can be provided also for the wireless Internet communication
However, the contents service cannot be piovided without using the communication netwoik owned by the wireless communication sen ice piovider and moreover, the sen ice might be lestncted depending on the mobile teiminal and/or the
10 browser in use
As such in oidei foi the contents providers to develop a wneless Internet site and its contents, thev should know the mechanical functions and env iionments of various PDAs and smart phones Further, they should have PDAs and smart phones in possession for testing which might mean additional difficultv for the contents pioviders lό Accordingly, if the contents piovideis aie allowed to review the images of the web page as displayed on a mobile teiminal without using a ical PDA it would be helpful in developing the contents In this regard theie has been felt a need for developing a method for piovidmg a web site on-scieen displav on a mobile terminal to the web biow ei of a peisonal computei
20 Further, pui chasers desiring to buy a PDA or a smart phone would be pleased if they could leview web site on-scieen displays as piovided to various mobile terminals with their wire-netwoiked web biowsei without using a real PDA or smart phone
Detailed Description of the Invention The present invention i elates generallv to a method for pioviding wneless Internet on-screen displav to wned Internet web browsei and in paiticulai aims to allow Internet users to leview the wa s the web page is displa\ed on a mobile teiminal "j such as PDA smart phone etc without the need of pin chasing a high-piiced PDA
smart phone etc by providing images of the web page as displaved on the mobile teiminal bv using the web biowsei oi wiic-netwoiked peisonal compute)
The piesent invention discloses a method toi pio iding wneless Internet on- scieen displav to wned Internet web biowsei compπsing the steps of 0 first receiving information on the tvpes ol mobile teimmal and biowsei fiom the connected usei second leceivmg URL from the usei and then leceiving a web page corresponding to the leceived URL bv accessing the web sei ei and thud converting the web page icceived in the second step to wneless Internet i on-scieen displav compatible with the tvpes ol mobile teiminal and biowsu icceived in the first step and transmitting the same to the usei
In oidei foi the contents piovideis to develop a wneless Internet sue and the contents thev should know the mechanical functions and env iionments ol various PDAs and smart phones and tuithei thev should possess PI) \s and smart phones foi 0 testing According to the present invention however the wneless Internet on-scieen displavs as in the env iionments of vaπυus PD \s oi smart phones can be piovided to web browseis of personal computei without leal use ot PD \s oi smart phones
Further the piesent invention pi ov ides an env uonment wheiem useis can develop the desned sites and contents using the same mechanical functions and environments as those of PDAs or smart phones while at the same time doing web- surfing.
Still further, according as a user chooses a desired type of PDA or a smart phone on the web, the appearance of the chosen PD.A or smart phone is selected from among the PDA or smart phone simulations in the main server, displayed on the web, and shown on the web browser of the user.
Here, the user can later access the web through the browser of the virtual PDA or smart phone displayed on his web browser and can see the same i mage of the Internet on the browser as it is shown by the real PDA or smart phone
