AN INTERNET BUSINESS METHOD OF COOPERATION LOTTERY BY THEME
Technical Field
This Invention relates to a method for operating a cooperative theme lottery business on Internet, and particularly a method for operating a cooperative theme lottery business on Internet by enabling members (netizens) who are interested in a specific field to access to each theme park provided by fields, providing various informations on each theme, ranning each cooperative theme lottery business, and further carrying on each theme point advertisement business.
Background Art
Internet originated from ARPANET developed by Department of Defense, U.S.A. for sharing informations on military researches, and Internet on which innumerable computer networks are connected all over the world is currently getting to be an immense and efficient medium for accumulation and provision of informations. Such Internet has various uses, such as e-mail, news groups, file transmission, information communication and search, and the like. As the number of networks connected on Internet and the number of Internet users are getting to be increased rapidly, the commercial use of Internet, that is to say, electronic commerce is getting to be rapidly popularized.
Electronic commerce (e-commerce) means transaction of goods and service of which the whole or a portion is made through any electronic business means, such as exchange of electronic documents and the like. All transacting parties participate in electronic commerce, as in any commercial transaction made in the real world. In case of the simplest e-commerce, a cyber shopping mall for providing goods or service, a consumer for buying goods or service from the cyber shopping mall and a cyber bank involved in payment for the bought goods or service or a credit card company get to be transacting parties respectively in such e-commerce. In such e-commerce process, the consumer first accesses to the cyber mall by means his/her terminal connected on Internet, such as a personal computer, etc., and then does his/her shopping there. When the consumer finds any wanted goods there, he/she communicates his her intent to buy it to the cyber shopping mall, informing it of his/her payment means, such as his/her credit card number, bank account number or password. The cyber shopping mall inquires of the credit card number, bank account number or password informed by the customer to the cyber bank or the credit card company and requests it to make payment for the goods the customer has bought. When the cyber bank or the credit card company makes such payment to the cyber shopping mall, it delivers the goods to the customer. Thereby, such e-commerce process is completed.
Such conventional Internet business models include a shopping mall business linking business enterprises to consumers, such as a cyber department on Internet and the like, an auction or counter auction business, a joint buying business for which buyers to buy goods at a certain quoted price are invited or an event business for which members to participate in the event are invited, a business-to-business or government-to-business transaction, such as purchasing of materials, bidding and the like, and a cyber lottery business.
Among the said business models, the conventional cyber or actual lottery business has a considerably unreasonable problem on the part of actual buyers for the following reason; In the conventional cyber or actual lottery business, a lot of lottery tickets are issued so that every ticket buyer may bet the ticket price on a given winning prize money irrespective of the number of tickets actually sold. Therefore, on the part of ticket buyers, they get to be in pursuit of only the monetary purpose or desire, and further the winning rate gets to be very low. In the conventional lottery business, the issued amount of lottery tickets is much greater than the winning prize money, even though there is some difference in them depending upon the lottery business type. Therefore, the relative expected value gets to be reduced considerably. Also, there is a problem that the lottery business has no associated relation with the advertisement business since they are operated separately.
Disclosure of Invention
This Invention is created for the purpose of providing a solution to the said problems of the prior art, and this Invention is to provide a method for operating a cooperative theme lottery business on Internet by enabling members (netizens) who are interested in a specific field to access to each theme park provided by fields, providing various informations on each theme, running each cooperative theme lottery business, and further carrying on each theme point advertisement business, wherein through operation of such lottery business including linkage with any proper e-commerce website, specific and various desires of members are satisfied, the actual winning probability gets to be higher, and further the close associated relation between the cooperative lottery business and the advertisement business maximizes the effect of the cooperative lottery business and the advertisement business.

In order to attain the said objectives, this Invention comprises the first step in which each member accesses to the operation server on Internet by means of his her terminal; the second step in which each member selects his/her wanted theme park from the main window of the cooperative lottery and advertisement website provided by the operation server and then such selected theme park window gets to be displayed; the third step in which each member requests for acquisition of a lottery ticket(s), the lottery ticket(s) is sold at such request, and in case the number of issued lottery tickets gets to be equal to the number of sold lottery tickets as a result of counting the number of sold tickets, a winning member is determined by drawing a winning lottery ticket; the fourth step in which the winning member is informed of the fact that he/she has won in the lottery; and the fifth step in which the winning prize money or any monetary right equivalent to the winning prize money is awarded to the winning member, and in case the winning member selects the said monetary right, he/she gets to be linked with any proper e-commerce website.
In the third step in which the cooperative theme lottery ticket(s) is sold and the winning lottery ticket is drawn, each winning prize money appropriate for each theme is determined, and the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets and the selling price per one ticket are determined so that the amount calculated by multiplying the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets by the selling price per one ticket may be equal to the said winning prize money. Or, in the third step in which the cooperative theme lottery ticket(s) is sold and the winning lottery ticket is drawn, each winning prize money appropriate for each theme is determined, and the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets and the selling price per one ticket are determined so that the amount calculated by multiplying the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets by the selling price per one ticket may be less than the said winning prize money.
Since the said winning prize money is determined so that it may be equal to or greater than the sales amount of the lottery tickets, a greater benefit can be given to the member buying the cooperative lottery ticket(s). In case any deficit occurs from determination of the said winning prize money so that it may be greater than the sales amount of the lottery tickets, it is made up for with the profit from the point advertisement business. i the second step in which each member selects his/her wanted theme park from the main window of the cooperative lottery and advertisement website provided by the operation server and then such selected theme park window gets to be displayed, the selected theme park window gets to be displayed only to the member whose membership has been authenticated through the membership authentication process so that he/she may buy a cooperative lottery ticket(s) there. The said main window comprises a membership subscription frame for operating a membership subscription program; a member's buying status frame of cooperative lottery tickets for displaying each member's buying status of cooperative lottery tickets; a status frame of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn; a status frame of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn; and a theme park selection frame for displaying each theme park so that each theme park may be selected.
Each theme window comprises a cooperative lottery tickets status frame for displaying an issue number, a winning prize money, the number of cooperative lottery tickets as issued and the number of cooperative lottery tickets as sold; a point advertisement frame for displaying an advertisement related with the selected theme; a like-minded members club news frame for displaying various informations on like-minded members; and a related information frame for displaying each theme-related information.
In the third step in which the cooperative theme lottery ticket(s) is sold and the winning lottery ticket is drawn, a cooperative lottery ticket(s) is sold at each member's request for acquisition of a cooperative lottery ticket(s), and a time for which cooperative lottery tickets are sold is set in advance. If such set time passes, the sales amount as of the set time shall be determined as the winning prize money irrespective of the number of cooperative lottery tickets as issued and the number of cooperative lottery tickets as sold and then a winning member shall be determined by drawing a winning cooperative lottery ticket.
A preferable embodiment according to this Invention is below described in details by reference to the accompanying drawings.

The said operation server(s) (40) includes a membership database (DB) (41) for storing membership information; a cooperative lottery ticket DB (42) for storing information on sale and drawing of cooperative lottery tickets; an advertisement DB (43) for storing advertisements provided by advertisers; and a related information DB (44) for storing each theme-related information, and further provides each theme park to members. Thereby, the operation server (40) enables members having an interest in a specific field to access to the theme park related with such field, provides each theme-related information to members and further operates the cooperative lottery business and at the same each theme point advertisement business.
FIG. 2 is a flow chart showing a method for operating a cooperative theme lottery business on Internet according to this Invention; FIG 3 is a flow chart showing a method for determining a winning prize money according to this Invention; and FIG 4a and 4b are flow charts showing a preferable embodiment of the method for operating a cooperative theme lottery business on Internet according to this Invention. As shown in the said drawings, this Invention comprises the first step in which each member accesses to the operation server (40) on Internet (20) by means of his/her terminal (10); the second step in which each member selects his/her wanted theme park from the main window (50) of the cooperative lottery and advertisement website provided by the operation server (40) and then such selected theme park window (60) gets to be displayed; the third step in which each member requests for acquisition of a lottery ticket(s), the lottery ticket(s) is sold at such request, and in case the number of issued lottery tickets gets to be equal to the number of sold lottery tickets as a result of counting the number of sold tickets, a winning member is determined by drawing a winning lottery ticket; the fourth step in which the winning member is informed of the fact that he/she has won in the lottery; and the fifth step in which the winning prize money or any monetary right equivalent to the winning prize money is awarded to the winning member, and in case the winning member selects the said monetary right, he/she gets to be linked with any e-commerce website. In the second step in which each member selects his/her wanted theme park from the main window of the cooperative lottery and advertisement website provided by the operation server and then such selected theme park window gets to be displayed, the selected theme park window gets to be displayed only to the member whose membership has been authenticated through the membership authentication process so that he/she may buy a cooperative lottery ticket(s) there.
FIG 5 is a drawing showing a main window according to this Invention. As shown in the said drawing, the said main window (50) comprises a membership subscription frame (51) for operating a membership subscription program; a member's buying status frame (52) of cooperative lottery tickets for displaying each member's buying status of cooperative lottery tickets; a status frame (53) of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn; a status frame (54) of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn; and a theme park selection frame (55) for displaying each theme park so that each theme park may be selected.
FIG 6 is a drawing showing each theme window. As shown in the said drawing, the said theme window (60) comprises a cooperative lottery tickets status frame (61) for displaying an issue number, a winning prize money, the number of cooperative lottery tickets as issued and the number of cooperative lottery tickets as sold; a point advertisement frame (62) for displaying an advertisement related with the selected theme; a like-minded members club news frame (63) for displaying various informations on like-minded members; and a related information frame (64) for displaying each theme-related information.
If such set time passes, the sales amount of the cooperative lottery tickets as of the set time is determined as the winning prize money irrespective of the number of cooperative lottery tickets as issued and the number of cooperative lottery tickets as sold and then a winning member is determined by drawing a winning cooperative lottery ticket. Thereby, any vagueness that might result from a delay in the time to draw a winning lottery ticket in case the said time is not set in advance can be eliminated complementarily.
Operation of this Invention is below described in more details. In the first place, each member accesses to the operation server (20) on
Internet by means of his/her terminal (10). Then, the operation server has the main window (50) of the cooperative lottery and advertisement website displayed in the terminal (S 100 ~ S 101).
As shown in FIG. 5, this main window (50) has the following frames displayed therein; a membership subscription frame (51) for operating a membership subscription program; a member's buying status frame (52) of cooperative lottery tickets for displaying each member's buying status of cooperative lottery tickets; a status frame (53) of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets to be drawn; a status frame (54) of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn for displaying a status of cooperative lottery tickets as drawn; and a theme park selection frame (55) for displaying each theme park, such as car, house, wedding, tour, computer, making money, etc. so that each theme park may be selected.
Then, if a member selects a certain theme park from the themes displayed in the theme park selection frame (55) as he/she wants, the selected theme window (60) gets to be displayed through the membership authentication process. This Invention is preferably operated under the membership system. Thus, in case a user having accessed to the said cooperative lottery and advertisement website is found to be a non-member in the membership authentication process, the user is allowed to use the said website only after he/she becomes a member through the separate membership subscription process (S 102 ~ S 105).
Also, the said theme window (60) has the following frames displayed therein; a cooperative lottery tickets status frame (61) for displaying an issue number, a winning prize money, the number of cooperative lottery tickets as issued and the number of cooperative lottery tickets as sold; a point advertisement frame (62) for displaying an advertisement related with the selected theme; a like-minded members club news frame (63) for displaying various informations on like-minded members; and a related information frame (64) for displaying each theme-related information.
Also, each winning prize money according to this Invention is fixed at an appropriate level for each theme, i.e., in case the theme is a car, the winning prize money is fixed at about 10~20 Million Korean Won to be required for buying a car; in case the theme is a house, the winning prize money is fixed at about 100-200 Million Korean Won to be required for buying a house; in case the theme is a wedding, the winning prize money is fixed at about 5-10 Million Korean Won, as marriage expenses to be required for the marriage; in case the theme is a tour, the winning prize money is fixed as at about 1-5 Million Korean Won as travel expenses to be required for a tour; in case the theme is a computer, the winning prize money is fixed at about 1-3 Million Korean Won to be required for buying a computer; in case the theme is "making money", the winning prize money is fixed in consideration of the economic environment of members. And the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets and the selling price per one ticket are determined so that the amount calculated by multiplying the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets by the selling price per one ticket may be equal to the said winning prize money.
Therefore, each member requests for acquisition of a lottery ticket(s), the lottery ticket(s) is sold at such request and in case the number of issued lottery tickets gets to be equal to the number of sold lottery tickets as a result of counting the number of sold tickets, a winning member is determined by drawing a winning lottery ticket (S106 - SI 10).
When the winning member is determined as a result of drawing the winning lottery ticket as above said, the winning member is informed of the fact that he/she has won in the lottery, and the winning prize money or any monetary right equivalent to the winning prize money is awarded to the winning member (Sill).
In case the winning member selects the said monetary right, he/she gets to be linked with any proper e-commerce website so that he/she may use the said monetary right (S 112 - S 114).
Specifically to say, in case the winning member selects the monetary right equivalent to the winning prize money, the website operator guarantees the monetary right, and such monetary right can be used for e-commerce on-line or off-line. According to this Invention, cooperative lottery tickets are neither issued nor drawn with a certain period for selling tickets and a drawing date fixed in advance, but as soon as all of the issued lottery tickets are sold out, a winning member is determined by drawing a winning lottery ticket and ftuiher new cooperative tickets are issued again. Therefore, this Invention is not restricted by time. In addition, since there is no need to print all cooperative lottery tickets, this Invention has the advantage of requiring no physical distribution channel.
As another embodiment according to this Invention, in the third step in which the cooperative theme lottery ticket(s) is sold and the winning lottery ticket is drawn, each winning prize money appropriate for each theme is determined, and the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets and the selling price per one ticket are determined so that the amount calculated by multiplying the number of the issued cooperative lottery tickets by the selling price per one ticket may be less than the said winning prize money.
In this Invention, the winning prize money is determined so that it may be greater than the sales amount of the cooperative lottery tickets, and a higher winning probability and winning prize money is, therefore, offered to buyers of cooperative lottery tickets. Thus, the operator of this Invention can offer a greater benefit to buyers of cooperative lottery tickets by making up for any deficit occurring from determination of the said winning prize money so that it may be greater than the sales amount of the lottery tickets with the profit from the point advertisement business.
Meanwhile, in the third step in which the cooperative theme lottery ticket(s) is sold and the winning lottery ticket is drawn, a cooperative lottery ticket(s) is sold at each member's request for acquisition of a cooperative lottery ticket(s), and a time (i.e., 24 hours, etc.) for which cooperative lottery tickets are sold is set in advance.
Even though this Invention has been described and illustrated herein by reference to only the preferable embodiments as above mentioned, this Invention can be variously modified and embodied in various forms within the gist and scope of the present invention by anyone having common knowledge of the field to which this Invention belongs. Therefore, it should be understood that this Invention is not limited to the specific embodiments as described above, and that this Invention includes all modifications, equivalents and substitutes within the spirit and scope of this Invention as defined in the "What is claimed is" as described herein.
As described above, this invention enables members (netizens) who are interested in a specific field to access to each theme park provided by fields, providing various informations on each theme and enabling the operator to run each cooperative theme lottery business and further carry on each theme point advertisement business. Thereby, specific and various desires of members are satisfied, the actual winning probability gets to be higher, and further the close associated relation between the cooperative lottery business and the advertisement business maximizes the cooperative lottery business effect and the advertisement business effect at the same time. Also, cooperative lottery tickets are neither issued nor drawn with a certain period for selling tickets and a drawing date fixed in advance, but as soon as all of the issued lottery tickets are sold out, a winning member is determined by drawing a winning lottery ticket and further new cooperative tickets are issued again. Therefore, this Invention has various effects that it is not restricted by time and that since there is no need to print all cooperative lottery tickets, this Invention has the advantage of requiring no physical distribution channel. Also, unlike the conventional lottery business in which the sales amount of the lottery tickets is determined so that it may exceed any winning prize money, the said winmng prize money is determined so that it may be equal to or greater than the sales amount of the lottery tickets. A greater winning probability and winning prize money can be, therefore, offered to the member buying the cooperative lottery ticket(s). In case any deficit occurs from determination of the said winning prize money so that it may be greater than the sales amount of the lottery tickets, it is made up for with the profit from the point advertisement business. Thereby, this Invention has another effect to give a greater benefit to the member buying the cooperative lottery ticket(s).
