Abstract

The present invention is further directed to a method of deploying an extremely high-capacity network optimized for delivery of broadband video that exploits the best features of the centralized server architecture (DWDM system) and the distributed server architecture (CLEC#1-CLEC#3), while overcoming the largest problems created by each. This hybrid architecture allows for the optimal exploitation of networking capital assets while at the same time minimizing support, connectivity, and facilities costs.
