Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe mit einem Steuergerät mit dem Merkmal des Anspruchs 1 bzw. mit einem Verfahren mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 8 gelöst. Die Unteransprüche definieren jeweils bevorzugte und vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen der vorlie- genden Erfindung.
Erfindungsgemäß ist das Steuergerät des Kraftfahrzeugs in der Lage, auf einen einzigen Gruppendiagnoseaufruf hin mehrere oder alle gespeicherten Diagnosen durchzuführen. Auf diese Weise kann eine weitgehende Überprüfung des Kraftfahrzeugs mit geringem Aufwand erreicht werden. Beispielsweise kann bei der Herstellung eines Kraftfahrzeugs am Ende mit geringem Aufwand eine abschließende Überprüfung vorgenommen werden.
