Abstract

The present invention provides an optical vital signs apparatus and method for optically measuring vital signs of a subject. The apparatus includes a light source (122), a light pipe (124) having a collecting surface and a terminal end. The light source is positioned proximate the collecting surface and a light detector (126) is positioned proximate the terminal.
