Abstract

The invention is related to a system and a method for message annunciation in a telephone circuit by using the ring back tone as vehicle and carrying voice messages / music / jingles in a telephone system. A auto reverse tape player is energised by toggle switch said tape player feeds message along with ring back tone through coupling capacitor. The attenuation of ring back tone is implemented by a resistance cutting into system.

Description

A SYSTEM AND A METHOD FOR MESSAGE ANNUNCIATION IN A TELEPHONE CIRCUIT.

Field of Invention

This invention in general relates to voice telephone systems. This invention in particular relates to a system of message annunciation in Telephone circuit. This invention further relates to a method for message annunciation in Telephone circuit. This invention has varied applications leading to enhancement of telephone circuit.

It is understood that this invention is particularly concerned with adding an equipment in the existing system thereby creating a new facility whereby a person making a phone call can hear a recorded announcement from the distant exchange of the called party giving a station identification along with the customary ring back tone during the 'time to answer period of the called person.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

The inventor have made great effort to provide a system which meet the requirement of the industry.

To achieve the above object according to first aspect and feature of the present invention there is provided a method to improve, efficiency, of telephone circuit.

According to second aspect and feature of the invention in addition to the first feature the invention comprises a system, which is unique, rugged efficient and economical.

At the outset of the description which follows it is to be understood that ensuring description only illustrate a particular form of this invention. However, such particular form is only an exemplary embodiment without intending to imply any limitation on the scope of this invention. Accordingly, the description is to be understood as an exemplary embodiment and reading of the invention is not intended to be taken restrictively. The above and other objects features and disadvantages will be clear from the following description of preferred embodiment taken in conjunction with accompanying drawing.

The foregoing description is outlined rather broadly preferred and alternative feature of the present invention so that those skilled in the art may better understand the detailed description of the invention that follows. Additional features of the invention will be described hereinafter that form the subject of claims of the invention. ^• Those skilled in the art should appreciate that they can readily use the disclosed conception and specific embodiment as a basis for designing and modifying other structures for carrying out the same purposes of the present invention. Those skilled in the art should realize such equivalent conception do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention in its broadest form.

Accordingly this invention relates to a method for message annunciation in a telephone circuit comprises incorporation of means by way of facility to carry rider messages into conventional ring back tone as vehicle for carrying messages in a telephone system whereby assuring the right call is in progress.

The various feature of novelty which characterise the invention are pointed out specifically in the claims which a part of description. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantage, specific objects obtained by its use, reference should be made to the drawings and descriptive matter is which there are illustrated and described preferred embodiments of invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AN EMBODIMENT OF INVENTION

The invention will be described in detail with respect to drawing accompanying this specification wherein Fig.1 of the drawing in Block diagram shows that essential components of the voice telephone system. The following are the individual parts of the system.

Refer now to drawing, where like numerals designate identical or corresponding parts throughout the referred views.

1. An "Ondulator" installed in telephone exchanges supplying the ring back tone.

2. Change-over contact of Relay

3. Auto reverse tape player carrying messages

4. Coupling capacitor

5. Resistance-typically 47K

6. "Ring back" tone supply to the exchange

7. Relay

8. Toggle switch to operate relay

9. 15 VDC supply (from exchange)

It is to be noted that elements in the drawing enable implementation of the system. The conventional ring back tone is supplied by the Ondulator" (1). When toggle switch '8' is operated relay 7 is energised. Same toggle switch also switches ON the tape player contacts of relay changing over exchange ring back tone supply from Ondulator (1) to tape output via coupling capacitor 4. Simultaneously the conventional ring back tone is also supplied suitably attenuated by resistor 5.

The tape message output will be repeats of "welcome to / Delhi / Bombay / X . This message is continuously cycled along with the ring back tone along with social messages as desired. This add on message is heard by the calling party till called party answers. (Once called party answer the Ondulator automatically goes out of circuit - ring back and modified ring back tones also vanish.

This scheme thus envisaged is implemented by use of Auto-reverse players which feed salutation preamble and the station identity along with the conventional ring back tone (of reduced volume).

This scheme is of interest to the telephone administration itself. For during the time to answer of the called party the administration gets no revenue as the call is not charged. Still circuit and equipment is held for the duration of the said time to answer. Implementation of this scheme will give assurance to the caller that his call has been placed to the intended exchange (town) when he hears the 'welcome to Delhi¹ message and the intended destination of his call is for Delhi. Instead if he hears the 'welcome to' of another town he instantly knows that his call has gone astray and he disconnects and redials again. In this case the phone administration is saved of circuit and equipment occupancy time when such things happen due to some reason.

It is evident from the aforesaid description that the novel feature of the invention is the equipment for creation of the facility of carrying rider messages on the ring back tone for the stated advantages of assuring the calling party that his call progress is OK and the phone administration also benefits by reduction of unprofitable circuit use. This is of interest in optimising junction and trunk circuits.

Another novel feature of the invention is the adaptation of this scheme for flashing national or regional panic news or messages as the only cheap and reliable instant vehicle. Other systems depend on listener option. The invention has been explained in relation to specific embodiment. It is inferred that the foregoing description is only illustrative of the present invention and it is not intended that the invention be limited or restrictive thereto. Many other specific embodiments of the present invention will be apparent to one skilled in the art from the foregoing disclosure. All substitution, alterations and modification of the present invention which come within the scope of the following claims are to which the present invention is readily susceptible without departing from the spirit of the invention.

The scope of the invention should therefore be determined not with reference to the above description but should be determined with reference to appended claims along with full scope of equivalents to which such claims are entitled.

Claims

1. A system for message annunciation in a telephone circuit comprises incorporation of add on equipment in the telephone circuit whereby a person making a phone call can hear a recorded announcement from the distant exchange of the called party giving a station identification along with the customary ring back tone during the 'time to answer period of the called person.

2. A system for message annunciation by way of telephone ring back and message annunciation for creation the facility of carrying rider messages into conventional ring back tone comprises an Ondulator being connected to a auto reverse tape player through a relay contact and energised by a toggle switch and a means of operating the relay connected to tape player and being energised by a battery.

3. A method for message annunciation in a telephone circuit comprises incorporation of means by way of facility to carry rider messages into conventional ring back tone as vehicle for carrying messages in a telephone system whereby assuring the right call is in progress.

4. A method for message annunciation in a telephone circuit comprises incorporation auto reverse players as means to carry rider messages into conventional ring back tone.
