Abstract
Equipment and systems that can be networked are becoming increasingly important in private households as electronic aids for assisting the occupants. As a result of the large number of different operating and control options, a clear, self-explanatory operating concept is essential for home networking applications of this type. The aim of the invention is to provide a method for controlling and monitoring areas of a building, which permits an intuitive operating concept for the navigation between and selection of equipment and systems in a networked home, whilst allowing said concept to be transferred more easily to a generic application. This is achieved by the inventive method.
Description
Beschreibungdescription
Verfahren zur Gebäudesteuerung und GebäudeüberwachungMethod for building control and building supervision
The present invention relates to a method and computer program product for building control and building monitoring.
Hierdurch entsteht eine intelligente Umgebung zur Unterstützung des Menschen .Networking devices and systems are increasingly finding their way into households as electronic assistants to assist people. As PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), they support personal time and information management, serve as memories or enable worldwide communication over the Internet. In addition, "invisible" assistants, which are integrated as sensors or actuators in devices, light switches, wallpaper, carpets and clothing, and which are interconnected via wireless networks, are becoming increasingly established. This creates an intelligent environment to support people.
A particularly interesting field of application for these intelligent environments is home networking (smart home), which includes consumer electronics, communications technology, home appliance technology, home automation, security technology and telematics. In this case, for example, be closed by an authorized user via a mobile device in a building the blinds, controlled the room climate or the lighting can be controlled. Furthermore, it is possible via the mobile terminal an alarm system, Hausge- rate (washing machine, dishwasher, ...) or garden irrigation to control.
In optical control concepts, one generally distinguishes between physical and logical operating views, wherein the physical operating view is relatively self-explanatory and the logical operating view is characterized by a particular compactness.
In a first operating concept for home networking, a purely physical operating view is used, in which the floor plan of a house with the controllable and monitorable objects with respect to their respective real, physical location is represented symbolically. By selecting one of the objects, the associated functions can be called up and with their help the object can be controlled or monitored.
A second operating concept for home networking uses a purely logical operating view. The building areas and the controllable and monitorable objects are arranged as name entries in a list or tree structure and can be selected and controlled / monitored by navigating in this structure. An example of such an operating concept is the "Tree View Controls" from Microsoft (http: // msdn .microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/ Gn-us / shGllcc / plaLform / commcLls / LrGGviGw / LrGGviGW) . asp).
A disadvantage of the first operating concept is that most houses have a different floor plan and therefore the floor plan view must be redesigned for each house by the user. The application is therefore transferable only with considerable effort to different houses, which precludes an aspired generic application. In addition, the first operating concept is potentially unsuitable for the display on especially small displays due to the necessary high degree of detail of the display because the details are not due to the limited display area of the display sufficiently large for a selection can be represented with a pen.
The second operating concept has the disadvantage that the list or tree structures do not allow an intuitive assignment to the house and therefore require a high level of abstraction by the user. Furthermore, the second operating concept for small displays is unsuitable, since in particular in many areas of buildings and obj ekten a complete display on a small display only limited possible and thus becomes confusing.
The object of the present invention is therefore to specify a method for building control and building monitoring, by means of which an intuitive operating concept for navigation and selection of devices and systems in a networked home while at the same time being easily transferable with the aim of a generic application is made possible.
Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in den abhängigen Ansprüchen angegeben .According to the invention this object is achieved by a method and a computer program product having the features specified in claim 1 and claim 9. Advantageous developments of the present invention are specified in the dependent claims.
According to the present invention, a building area is selectable from a stylized building representation in a method of building control and building surveillance. Selecting a building area brings up a list of other building areas into which the selected building area can be divided. The individual further building areas are in each case assigned a list with controllable and / or monitorable devices and / or systems. By selecting one of the devices and / or systems, a list with controllable and / or monitorable properties and / or functions of the respective device and / or system for control and / or monitoring is retrieved. Thus, in Advantageously, the physical and the logical operating view are combined so that on the one hand the advantage of an intuitive and self-explanatory operating structure is maintained and on the other hand the degree of abstraction necessary for easy transference between different houses is present. In particular, the operating concept according to the invention is also suitable for small displays, as can be found, for example, in PDAs, smart phones, multidevices and car infotainment systems.
According to further embodiments of the present invention, the stylized building representation comprises a stylized representation of further elements belonging to the building, in particular a garden or a garage. Furthermore, the selectable building areas of the stylized building representation may include floors of the building. All these stylized metaphors share the advantage of presenting information in a compressed and intuitively accessible form.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the subdivision of the building into building areas, other building areas, devices and / or systems and properties and / or functions and their respective naming by the user can be specified. Thereby, the advantage of a particularly user-friendly operating concept is achieved, since the user can make a subdivision and naming according to his own preferences and habits.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the list of controllable and / or monitorable devices and / or systems is at least partially visible in the list of other building areas or is visible by selecting a further building area. So it is advantageously possible that in addition to a name entry for a room ("kitchen", "bathroom", "living room") j e- because the symbols of the devices and / or systems available for all rooms, such as "blinds", "light" and "temperature", are listed. In addition, by selecting a specific room, a list is displayed with the symbols of the devices and / or systems available only for that room, such as the "dishwasher", "stove" and "refrigerator" items, for example, by selecting the "kitchen" area. This has the advantageous effect that the operating concept according to the invention can be carried out with particularly short navigation paths.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the list of controllable and / or monitorable devices and / or systems at least partially stylized representations of the devices and / or systems.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the present invention, a status display with active devices and / or systems is retrievable. As a result, it is advantageously possible to retrieve a list of active devices and / or systems independently of their respective location by selecting a corresponding control element. This list contains, for example, the symbols for the dishwasher and the washing machine connected with an indication of the remaining time until the end of the respective program.
In the embodiment of the computer program product according to the invention, a building area can be selected by the program sequence control device from a stylized building representation. Selecting a building area brings up a list of other building areas into which the selected building area can be divided. The individual further building areas are in each case assigned a list with controllable and / or monitorable devices and / or systems. Selecting one of the devices and / or systems will result in a list of controllable and / or monitorable properties and / or functions of the respective device and / or system for control and / or monitoring retrieved.

The stylized house metaphor 201 from FIG. 1 can be seen in the upper left corner. Colored marking indicates that the ground floor has been selected. In addition, the words "ground floor" 202 can be read in the upper right corner for further clarification. As already mentioned above, after selecting a floor, a list with the further building areas resp. Spaces shown. The list contains the entries 206 to 214 with the respective designations for the rooms. The designations as well as the subdivision of the ground floor can be specified by the user. In addition to the designations for the rooms 206 to 214, a symbol for the lighting 203, a symbol for the blinds 204 and a symbol for the temperature 205 are shown in each case. By selecting one of these symbols, the functions for controlling and / or monitoring the corresponding room parameter are called up. In addition, by selecting the word "kitchen" 207, for example, a list of devices and / or systems that are only available in the "kitchen" room, such as a microwave, a dishwasher and a refrigerator, can be accessed. Furthermore, it is at the discretion of a person skilled in the art to be identified by a formal or colored marking of the corresponding symbols in which room currently the lighting 203 is activated or the heater 205 is running.
Durch Auswahl einer Checkbox kann die entsprechende Lampe ausgeschaltet werden, wodurch die Informationen über den Betriebszustand in denFIG. 3 shows by way of example the operating view for a home networking application from FIG. 2 after the lighting symbol for the list entry "living room" has been selected. Again, the stylized house metaphor 301 of Figure 1 with marked ground floor and associated lettering To see "ground floor" 301. Furthermore, only the list entry "Living Room" 306 is shown along with the three symbols for the lighting 303, the blinds 304 and the temperature 305. The selected lighting icon 303 is highlighted by a distinguishable color background. The further list entries 310 to 314 contain the controllable and / or monitorable lighting components of the living room 306. Here, too, the subdivision and designation of the individual devices and / or systems can be specified by a user. The first list entry 310 shows the designation "ceiling light" and an activated check box with information about the operating status of the lamp ("on") and about the set lamp power ("30%"). By selecting a checkbox, the corresponding lamp can be switched off, whereby the information about the operating state in the
In addition, each list entry contains a slider 308 for setting the respective lamp power, via which the lamp can also be switched to the "off" operating state. It is at the discretion of a person skilled in the present operating concept to expand such that a function is provided, via which the complete lighting of a room (floor, house) can be controlled by a control. In addition, each list entry has information about, for example, the turn-on time "4:30:30" 307 and the turn-off time "8:30:30" 309. Thus, the lighting of a room (floor, house) can be programmed in a simple manner, which is advantageous for example as part of a presence simulation to increase safety.
Eigenschaften/Funktionen (bspw . Beleuchtung in Raum XY bzw . The exemplary embodiments make clear that the devices and / or systems as well as the properties and / or functions both a single device / system or. a single property / function (eg washing machine or on / off function of the washing machine) as well as a higher-level device / system resp. as a parent property / function several devices / systems resp. Properties / functions (eg lighting in room XY or on / off function in room XY). Furthermore, it is also within the scope of the invention that an entire building and / or a building area and / or a further building area can be selected and the devices and / or systems of the selected complex can be completely controlled and / or monitored. Thus, it is conceivable, for example, that the complete lighting for a house is switched on / off by means of a control element, or that the jalousies of a floor that are still closed are opened via an operating element.
The application of the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments.
