Description

The present invention relates to a centralized management system for multimedia content of an advertising and informative nature on fixed or mobile terminals forming an ad network managed remotely via a wired or wireless computer network.

Our process derives directly from advances in the field of digital image engineering made possible by the growth of computing and multimedia. Indeed, we are exploiting the advances of this technical field in order to offer a content that is both dynamic and three-dimensional. Our goal is to offer advertising content creators and their customers a field of experimentation up to the possibilities offered by the computer tools they use today to design their campaigns. In addition, we are giving operators in the signage sector the opportunity to refocus on their core business by putting aside the logistical concerns inherent in the business model imposed by the current state of the art. We hope to promote creativity at the expense of logistical and operational constraints. Finally, this process is environmentally friendly in that it reduces the need for raw materials, especially polymers and inks.

Figure 1 illustrates the operation of our process. A central server, which may be static or mobile, remotely manages the content of advertising or information display terminals which may themselves be fixed or mobile. The server contains the information to be broadcast on the entire terminal network, and plans and transmits this information directly to each of the terminals independently of others, the content may vary from one terminal to another. This transmission is done either by a download in the reading list of the terminal during an updated phase, or by a continuous flow to the reception and display system of said terminal. With regard to the purely practical part of this system, an interconnection between the server and the terminals is made possible by the pairing of network technology on the one hand, and software engineering on the other hand. Indeed, the server communicates via a wired or wireless computer network with its terminals, for example through a terrestrial telephone connection, GSM, GPRS, UMTS, 802.1 1, satellite, or other. The management of the content is made possible thanks to a software package designed by us and allowing an optimal flexibility of use notably by allowing a manual modification of the contents, and automatic initiated by a dynamic event like a certain time of the day, a certain day, a weather, geographical change, a level of pollution, temperature, or other.

That said, operational efficiency and maximizing business opportunities is not our primary focus in developing this type of process, the security of the system is. The use of the system that is the subject of the present invention is multiple. One of its commercial applications is the advertising display sector, or for the information of a group of people such as customers, employees, etc. It is managed remotely over a wireless network or otherwise, using a schema server / terminals that can be installed in any combination of the following configurations: indoor, outdoor, fixed, or mobile.

Claims:

A method for multimedia advertising and information display comprising a server (1) and terminals (2), characterized in that the terminals (2) form an advertising network with methods for managing and updating the content remotely. and a system for monitoring the status and feedback of these terminals through a wired or wireless computer network.

2. System according to Claim 1, characterized in that the display terminals are installed on mobile supports of the vehicle or other type, and / or on fixed supports.
