Abstract
The device is called 'GENERATION RADIANT ENERGY DEVICE' (GRED) and finds employment in the technological medical, electromedical, rehabilitative, veterinary, aesthetic and fitness sector. The system can treat human and/or animal pathologies by the application with two handles; the aim is to recharge the cellular potential by the exposition of the examined zone to an electric field E, by avoiding the superficial temperature rise. The characteristics that mark the device are: 1) capacity to distribute low frequency signals in translated band ; 2) although having an elevated power the exposition time to the electrical field is very short, avoiding the cutaneous overheating typically determined by the expositions to elevated electric fields with standard systems; 3) the emission of radio frequencies are strongly diminished.

DESCRIPTION TEXT The system titled "Generation radiant energy device", is an innovative equipment devoted to the different treatment of different cutaneous regions useful both in medical field and in aesthetic and sports.
The system is endowed of particular characteristics which allow to effectuate treatments with an efficacy very superior to the standard granting the maximum security and the maximum comfort and security both to the operator and to the subject in all the work phases.
The problem of reference from which we have started to create our "generation radiant energy device" is the fact of wanting to overcome to some lacks of the systems actually presents in the market.
In fact one of the most frequent problems that can be determined by using thermal energy supply devices is the high temperature joined by the cutaneous surface, determining in various cases bothers in the subject under treatment and also real cutaneous damages as burns and eventually traumas. The other system present also an asymmetric type whose consequence is the generation of strong interferences that influences the treatment results, and
the generation of radiofrequencies that are certainly damages both for the operator and the patient.
The first characteristic that we will illustrate is the low frequency signals in translated band. The proposed "Generation radiant energy device", is composed by a low signal frequency generator that is chosen by the user during the initial phase of the treatment and it can be of various type: sinusoidal, rectangular, triangular or also audio. The signal is modulated by a load-bearing in the frequency interval: fmin = 100 kHz e fmax = 12 MHz (in the PPTT Minister rules). With the modulation one can translate the interested signal on the base band (-B5B) to a level with central frequency f0 given by the modulating. See the picture 1 as an example.
The modulation, that can be of AM type (Amplitude Modulation), is necessary for the fact that the low frequency signal that we want to apply on the human body can go to solicit in a incorrect way the nervous system or/and muscles. A typical example of this effect is obtained by the electro stimulators; these devices, thanks to the application on the body of low frequency currents, can induce involuntary contractions of the nervous system in a wanted and controlled way. For our aims these effects must absolutely be avoided.
The translated signal is applied to the body to be treated by two particular electrodes that can be the same or different: one is active and one is of reference, with this system one can use as terminal also antennas, bands or
other things. The signal who pass through the body generates such a difference of potential to cause an electric field (E) into the tissues causing in this way a difference of potential of cellular polarization reporting it to standard values (for instance 70 mV). The results of this technique that we have used are widely verified by laboratory tests performed in the ATC research and development institute (Advanced Technology Center).
The second characteristic of our system is the supply technique of cutaneous tissue.
With our system, to optimise the relation between the time exposition to the treatment and the intensity of the employed power, is used a system which can vary the exposition time with the on/off technique; this technique allows to carry the same quantity of energy that it is possible to carry with a constant power signal, but limiting it to a short fraction of the modulation period as showed in the example in the picture number 2. In the first part of the graphic we have a constant power of 10 Watt applied for a time of 10 seconds; the energy supplied during this application time results to be the integral of the power calculated in the application time and one obtain the value of 100 Joule. The same quantity can be supplied by applying for only one second 100 Watt.
With the solution that we have proposed, we can grant the necessary quantity of energy to be supplied so as the tissue would be subjected for short periods to the exposition of an elevated power benefiting of the lack of
an excessive sensation of the skin overheating and tacking advantage from a greater efficacy being the field 10 times superior.
Another characteristic that one intends underline is the symmetry of the signal in our system.
The pictures 3 and 4 show how the system "Generation radiant energy device" can be realised; in particular we want to concentrate our attention on the device composed by an amplifier in a symmetric configuration and from the transformer that follow it; the adopted configuration allows to grant to the signal a correct amplification by avoiding unpleasant effects typical of bereaved effects lacking of symmetry.
As indicated in the picture number 4, the amplification grants the fact that between the primary and the secondary signal there would be a perfect correspondence both in the signal at the and to that at the primary one and at the secondary one there is a perfect correspondence both in the interval time between 0 and tϊ (in which it conduces the superior transistor), that in which from ti to t2 (in which the inferior transistor conduces). The symmetry of the signal consent a great efficacy in the treatment and the diminution of dangerous radiofrequencies both for the operator and for the patient.
An example of asymmetric configuration, which is typical of other equipments is showed in the picture 5; in this case, when the transistor is ON, the signal that is past through the transformer to the referenced electrode results linearly following the primary signal course; though when
the transistor is OFF3 the signal comes to the active electrode that results to be the electric current discharge of the inductor to the secondary that has an exponential not in relation with the principal signal.
In this way the signal in the active terminal results to have the negative semi wave completely different from the negative one; this asymmetry of the signal causes some interferences because not desired superior harmonic that cause problems concerning the norms related to the Electromagnetic
Compatibility.
An other characteristic of our system that we intend to underline is the presence of secondary multiples to grant different work techniques with the treatment that one intend to execute, and also the capacity of filtration of all the filtration of all the harmonic not desired components that would negatively influence the treatment that one intend to execute.
Going back to the picture 3, the right part of the amplifier indicates a transformer with secondary multiples; in fact we have a terminal to which the reference handle (α) and a series of terminal Z1; Z2 and Z3 which will grant to the active handle some different tensions, as showed in the second graphic in the picture number 3. At the reference terminal one will join an handle to an electrode, but other solutions can overview the antennas use or bands for different system type application.
The proposed solution is composed also by a capacitor C posed before the terminal to which one connect the reference handle (α); another variable is to pose a capacitor, opportunely dimensioned, realises with the transformer secondary coils a system to filtrate all the harmonic components
that are present in the signal, thing that wouldn't happen if one would use a simple transformer with handles simply linked to the secondary terminals, as it happens for example in the system of the picture number 5.
In fact the edgeways frequency of the filter is fo= 1/ ( 2 ) where L is the transformer inducing referring to Zl, or Z2, or reference to Z3 and C is the outing capacity. f0 is instead the frequency of the load-bearing that we want to deliver. In this case, one understand that choosing as exit firstly Zl and then for example Z2 if one adapts the filter to the 1st case, this last one will be maladjusted by the second. So we can foreseen 3 condensers Cl - C2 - C3 that can substitute C by a series of electromechanical condenser, or use the variant in which every exit Zl, Z2, Z3 just has its condenser Cl, C2, C3 directly in series to its exit.
For example the Zl exit can be called superficial resistive, which is suitable to without covering handles and to treat less thick tissues or when there is less distance between reference and handle.
Z2 can be called deep resistive. In fact thanks to its higher impedance can deliver energy to the thicker energy or when there is more distance between the reference and the handle. Z3 its very highest impedance is suitable to deliver on resistive handles.
Claims
1) The system called "Generation radiant energy device" that we have proposed delivers low frequency signals in translated band, modulated for example in amplitude. The aim of the exposition to this electric field is to foster in the user the recharge of the cellular polarisation potential.
2) The revenging system of the point 1 allows to optimise the modality with which one delivers energy to a body in exam; in fact the delivering occurs by impulses: for very short times and with a very elevated potential. In this way the cutaneous tissue can obtain more benefits among a treatment with a constant exposition to a potential less intense, moreover, the unpleasant overheating of the skin, typical of solutions which foresee long period of treatment with standard system.
3) The "Generation radiant energy device" allows a strong diminution of radiofrequencies typically generated by standard systems and assessed to be dangerous both for the operator and for the subject under treatment.
4) The "Generation radiant energy device" foresees a system with pass band LC which allows to further filtrate and eliminate all the undesirable harmonic components which are in the signal. The filtrating system grant a clean signal and a maximum guarantee of efficiency of the treatment thanks to the symmetric exit stage.
5) The "Generation radiant energy device" foresees the presence of more secondaries to grant different work techniques for example the use of antennas and/or bands.
6) The use of a conditioner electric system to replace to C the condenser Cl, C2, C3.
7) Use of Cl, C2, C3, directly on the exits Zl, Z2, Z3.
8) Specific use of the three impedances:
Zl - Resistive superficial, adapt to the without covering handles, to treat cutaneous zones less frequently or in which there are minimal distance between reference and handle Z2 - Deep resistive, adapt to covering handles, or in which there is more distance
Between handle and reference. Z3 — Suitable for his elevated impedance to supply on to deliver on covered handles.
