Description

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING COMMODITY ADVERTISEMENT IN SHOPPING COMMODITY SEARCHING SERVICE
Technical Field The present invention relates to a method and system for providing product advertising in a shopping product search service, and more particularly, to a product advertising method and system which can receive bid amounts for a purchase unit from a plurality of shopping malls, select a plurality of advertising shopping malls, which succeed in purchasing an advertising item, based upon the received bid amounts, and display product information of the selected advertising shopping malls in a display location based on a sorting rule.
Background Art
As many users use the Internet due to developments of information communication, and a use rate of the Internet increases, various types of Internet services are being provided. Thus, Internet users may utilize various types of online services, such as shopping, games, movies, music, and the like. Specifically, since online shopping helps users to purchase a product without restriction to a time and a location, while not visiting a store in person, a great number of Internet users are using Internet shopping.
Also, as Internet shopping users increase, shopping mall relay systems for providing information about products of a plurality of shopping malls also increase. As described above, due to developments of online shopping systems, different types of products that are being sold or managed in shopping malls or shopping mall relay systems also geometrically increase. Thus, methods of providing a user with product information are being diversified.
In the conventional online shopping mall or shopping mall relay system, when a user desires to purchase a product, the user must search through products and check product information until a desired product is found. Specifically, unlike offline shopping, in online shopping, a user may not acquire information about a product from a seller, for example, information about a brand new product or a hot item. Thus, the user may not acquire very helpful information to purchase a desired product.
To overcome the above-described disadvantages, recently, an online shopping mall or a shopping mall relay system sorts and provides product information in an order of a latest product, a hot item, and the like. As an example, when a user enters "vest", the online shopping mall or the shopping mall relay system may determine a display order of the retrieved "vest" and provide the user with the retrieved "vest" according to the determined display order. However, in this case, since hot items are retrieved based on only a sales volume, it may not satisfy an advertiser who desires to advertise "vest". Also, when determining only advertising, paid with a certain amount of money, as a hot item, product information satisfying the user's desire may not be provided to the user.
Accordingly, there is a need for a new technology which can select an advertising shopping mall bidding for an advertising area, determine a display order of product information of the advertising shopping mall based on a bid amount, a product popularity, and a trust of the advertising shopping mall, and display product information of the advertising shopping mall in the advertising area based on the determined display order when product information is sorted on a product search result page.
Disclosure of Invention Technical Goals
An aspect of the present invention provides a product advertising method and system which can select an advertising shopping mall bidding for an advertising area, sort product information of the advertising shopping mall according to a predetermined rule, and then display product information of the advertising shopping mall in the advertising area when product information is sorted on a product search result page.
Another aspect of the present invention also provides a product advertising method and system which can select any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name as a purchase unit, select an advertising shopping mall based on a bid amount for the purchase unit, determine a display order of product information of the advertising shopping mall based on a predetermined sorting rule, and provide product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the determined display order.
Another aspect of the present invention also provides a product advertising method and system which can utilize a bid amount of an advertising shopping mall, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof for a sorting rule, and thereby determine a display order of product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the sorting rule and display product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the display order.
Another aspect of the present invention also provides a product advertising method and system which can calculate a display order score by adding a relative evaluation score with respect to a bid amount of an advertising shopping mall, a relative evaluation score with respect to a product popularity thereof, and , a relative evaluation score with respect to a trust thereof, determine a display order based on the display order score, and display product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the display order.
Technical solutions According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method of providing product advertising, the method including the steps of: maintaining a service product database for a product search service; receiving bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit from a plurality of shopping malls; selecting a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls, based on the received bid amounts, the selected advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit; determining a display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls, based on a predetermined sorting rule; changing the service product database into a product advertising database for a product advertising service; and displaying product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the product advertising database, the selected advertising shopping malls being applied with a product advertising function.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a product advertising system including: a database configured to store data for a product search service and a product advertising service; a receiver configured to receive bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit which is selected from a plurality of shopping malls; a selector configured to select a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls, based on the received bid amounts, the selected advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit; a determination component configured to determine a display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls, based on a sorting rule with respect to the selected advertising shopping malls; and a display component configured to display product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the database, the selected advertising shopping malls being applied with a product advertising function.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Reference will now be made in detail to embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to the like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below in order to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.
FIG. 1 illustrates a relation of a product advertising system 100, a shopping mall server 110, and a product search terminal 120 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1, the product advertising system 100 corresponds to a shopping mall relay server which relays a plurality of shopping mall servers 110 and a plurality of product search terminals 120. In this instance, the product advertising system 100 connects with the plurality of shopping mall servers 110 via a first network 105, and also connects with the plurality of product search terminals 120 via a second network 115.
Also, the product advertising system 100 receives a selection on a purchase unit and bid amounts for purchasing the purchase unit, from the plurality of shopping mall servers 110 via the first network 105. The purchase unit includes any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name. Also, the first network 105 includes a wired/wireless network which transmits data between the product advertising system 100 and the shopping mall server 110.
Also, the product advertising system 100 selects a plurality of advertising shopping malls based on the received bid amounts. In this instance, the plurality of advertising shopping malls succeeds in purchasing the purchase unit. Specifically, the plurality of advertising shopping malls includes a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls in an order of greater bid amounts among the received bid amounts for purchasing the purchase unit. As an example, when eight shopping malls desire to purchase the purchase unit, only four shopping malls may be determined as the advertising shopping malls in an order of greater bid amounts received from the plurality of shopping mall servers 110. In this instance, the account balance of the advertising shopping malls should be greater than the bid amounts when the advertising shopping malls are selected.
Also, the product advertising system 100 determines a shopping mall with a comparatively earlier bid time as the advertising shopping mall when identical bid amounts are received from the plurality of shopping mall servers 110 via the first network 105.
When the advertising shopping mall is selected, the product advertising system 100 transmits a text message or an e-mail for notice to the shopping mall server 110 selected as the advertising shopping mall. Also, when advertising is suspended due to some causes, the product advertising system 100 notifies the suspension of the advertising.
Also, the product advertising system 100 determines a display order of product information of the advertising shopping malls based on a sorting rule. In this instance, the sorting rule is determined by a bid amount of each of the advertising shopping malls, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof. Also, the sorting rule may correspond to a display order score which is calculated by assigning a weight value to each of the bid amount of each of the advertising shopping malls, the popularity thereof, and the trust thereof. Also, the display order score may correspond to a value which is acquired by adding a relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity thereof, and a relative evaluation score with respect to the trust thereof.
Also, the product advertising system 100 receives any one of a product search keyword, a product category, and a product model name, from the plurality of product search terminals 120 via the second network 115. The second network 115 may correspond to a wired/wireless network which transmits data between the product advertising system 100 and the product search terminal 120. Also, the second network 115 may be identical to the first network 105 or different from the first network 105. Also, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls on a product search result page associated with the keyword, the category, or the product model name to retrieve a product, based on the determined display order. Also, the product advertising system 100 may charge the advertising shopping mall with an advertising cost based on a click on the displayed product information. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 may select an advertising shopping mall, calculate an advertising cost based on cost per click (CPC), and then charge the advertising shopping mall with the advertising cost. In this instance, although a great number of clicks occur due to the characteristic of a product advertising function, CPC does not change.
The shopping mall server 110 selects a purchase unit, such as the keyword, the category, or the product model name, and transmits a bid amount for purchasing the selected purchase unit to the product advertising system 100 via the first network 105. Also, the shopping mall server 110 provides the advertising cost to the product advertising system 100, based on a click on the displayed product information.
The product search terminal 120 is a device which includes a memory and a microprocessor and thereby has a computation capability, such as a desktop personal computer (PC), a notebook PC, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a mobile terminal, and the like. The product search terminal 120 may connect with the product advertising system 100 via the second network 115.
Also, the product search terminal 120 may transmit a keyword, a category or a product model name, entered from a product searcher to retrieve a product, to the product advertising system 100 via the second network 115. Also, the product search terminal 120 may receive product information from the product advertising system 100. In this instance, the product information is based on search results of the keyword, the category, or the product model name.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a product advertising method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. The product advertising method according to the present exemplary embodiment may be performed by the product advertising system 100.
In operation 210, the product advertising service 100 maintains a service product database for a product search service. In this instance, the service product database stores various types of information to perform the product search service, such as a keyword, a category, and a product model name.
In operation 220, the product advertising service 100 receives bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit which is selected from a plurality of shopping malls. Also, the purchase unit includes any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name. The keyword may correspond to keyword information which is used by a product searcher to retrieve a product. The category may correspond to category information which is used by the product searcher to retrieve the product. The product model name may correspond to product model information which is used by the product searcher to retrieve the product. Hereinafter, a bid process based on received bid amounts will be described with reference to FIG. 3.
FIG. 3 is a flowchart illustrating a process of receiving a bid amount about a purchase unit and executing a bid process according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 3, in operation 310, the product advertising system 100 receives information about the purchase unit selected from the plurality of shopping malls. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 receives any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name, as the purchase unit, from the plurality of shopping malls, and also receives information about the selected purchase unit.
In operation 320, the product advertising system 100 provides bid information about the selected purchased unit to the plurality of shopping malls. Hereinafter, a method of providing bid information about the selected purchase unit will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 through 6. FIG. 4 illustrates an example of a basic search view about a keyword selected as a purchase unit according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 4, the product advertising system 100 receives a keyword as a purchase unit from the shopping mall server 110. For example, the product advertising system 100 receives a keyword 'adidas' as the basic keyword, and provides search results of the keyword 'adidas' to the shopping mall server 110 using a basic search view. In this instance, the search results include bid information, such as a number of references for a previous week, a minimum bid amount, a number of current bid companies, a current maximum bid amount, and the like. In this instance, a criterion of the minimum bid amount is based on the purchase unit. When the keyword is used as the purchase unit, for example, the number of references for the previous week may be reflected. The number of references for the previous week and the minimum bid amount correspond to stored data. The number of bid companies and the maximum bid amount correspond to real-time data.
Also, the product advertising system 100 may provide a keyword which includes the basic keyword and also includes a great number of references, as search results of a similar keyword, for example, 'adidas shoes and adidas jacket1, to the shopping mall server 110.
Also, the product advertising system 100 may provide popular keywords for each period to the shopping mall server 110, based on a seasonal keyword reference. Specifically, the seasonal keyword reference may extract, for example, monthly popular keywords from the service product database, and provide the extracted monthly popular keywords to the shopping mall server 110. In this instance, the product advertising system 100 does not provide a keyword which cannot be purchased among the extracted monthly popular keywords.
Also, when the shopping mall server 110 is an advertiser which has a business and in this instance, a purchase menu is selected from the shopping mall server 110, the product advertising system 100 provides an advertising purchase view to the shopping mall server 110 and thereby induces the shopping mall server 110 to log in with the same identifier and then proceed a bid process.
Also, when the shopping mall server 110 is an advertiser which does not have a business and in this instance, the purchase menu is selected from the shopping mall server 110, the product advertising system 100 provides a knowledge shopping view to the shopping mall server 110 to proceed the bid process.
FIG. 5 illustrates an example of a basic search view about a category selected as a purchase unit according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 5, the product advertising system 100 receives a category as the purchase unit from the shopping mall server 110. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 receives 'large class > intermediate class > small class1, for example, 'clothing/underwear > women's wear > T shirts' and provides search results of 'clothing/underwear > women shirts > T shirts' to the shopping mall server 110 using a basic category search view. In this instance, the search results include bid information such as a number of page views for a previous week, a minimum bid amount, a number of current bid companies, a current maximum bid amount, and the like. In this instance, a criterion of the minimum bid amount is based on a purchase unit. When the category is used as the purchase unit, the number of page views for the previous week, included in a small class category, may be reflected. The number of page views for the previous week and the minimum bid amount correspond to stored data. The number of bid companies and the maximum bid amount correspond to real-time data. FIG. 6 illustrates an example of a basic search view about a product model name selected as a purchase unit according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 6, the product advertising system 100 receives a product model name as the purchase unit from the shopping mall server 110. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 receives the product model name, for example, TlO' and provides the search results of the selected product model name to the shopping mall server 110 using a basic product model name search view. In this instance, a scheme of selecting the product model name may include a scheme of selecting a small class category and then selecting a product model name, or a scheme of retrieving the product model name using a keyword. Also, the search results include bid information such as a number of page views for a previous week, a minimum bid amount, a number of current bid companies, a current maximum bid amount, and the like. In this instance, the number of page views for the previous week and the minimum bid amount correspond to stored data. Also, the bid company number and the maximum bid amount correspond to real-time data. A criterion of the minimum bid amount is based on the purchase unit. When the product model name is used as the purchase unit, for example, a number of original register page views for a previous week may be reflected.
In operation 330, the product advertising system 100 receives bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit which is selected from a plurality of shopping malls. In this instance, the bid amounts are greater than a minimum price which can win the bid.
In operation 340, the product advertising system 100 registers advertising data in the service product database, based on the bid amounts. In this instance, the advertising data may be selected only in the service product database. When the product is sold out, the advertising data includes a function of substituting the product for another similar product.
Also, when the plurality of shopping malls desires an additional bid, the product advertising system 100 repeats performing the operations 310 through 340.'
In operation 350, the product advertising system 100 provides a predicted display order or a predicted CPC reduction amount to the plurality of shopping malls, based on the bid amounts. Also, the product advertising system 100 may check the predicted display order or the predicted CPC reduction amount and then terminate the bid or change the bid amounts depending upon the request of the plurality of shopping malls.
In operation 360, the product advertising system 100 sets various types of functions for the product advertising service. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 may set various types of functions, such as a weekly allowable budget, an automatic bid function, a waiting list function, and the like, which are needed for the product advertising service.
In operation 370, the product advertising system 100 stores the set functions and terminates the bid process.
Referring again to FIG. 2, in operation 230, the product advertising system 100 selects a plurality of advertising shopping malls based on the received bid amounts. In this instance, the plurality of advertising shopping malls succeeds in purchasing the purchase unit. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 may select a predetermined number of shopping malls, as advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit, in an order of greater bid amounts in operation 220. Hereinafter, a method of selecting product advertising as a successful bid will be described with reference to FIG. 7.
FIG. 7 illustrates an example of a method of selecting product advertising as a successful bid according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 7, the product advertising system 100 receives a bid amount from each of a plurality of shopping malls corresponding to advertisers. Also, the product advertising system 100 selects three shopping malls as advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit. In this instance, whether the bid is successful is indicated by 1F1 and 'S'. 'F' indicates a failure of the bid and 1S' indicates a success of the bid.
The product advertising system 100 may pre-sell a fixed area when an advertiser may not directly bid for an advertising area in a total shopping mall, such as SINSEGE mall and WOORI home shopping. In this instance, the advertiser may be classified into SOHO mall such as open market/price comparison provider, an MD- based intermediate-and-large mall, such as a total shopping mall/home shopping/professional mall, and a seller-based large mall such as GSestore. The SOHO mall may directly bid for an advertising product, and utilize a basic bid advertising system with registration, management, and payment functions, as the product advertising system 100. The MD-based intermediate-and-large mall may not directly bid for the advertising product. Accordingly, when the fixed area is pre-sold, an application bid system may be utilized as the product advertising system 100. 'Also, the seller-based large mall may utilize an application bid advertising system as the product advertising system 100. The application bid advertising system may directly bid for a company's own products in interoperation with an MP provider system and a payment system.
Also, the product advertising system 100 selects a shopping mall with a comparatively early bid time when an identical bid amount is received. As an example, although bid amounts for 'GSestore mini shop_pants friends' and 'hot pants' are identical to each other as '9,000 won', the product advertising system 100 may select 'GSestore mini shop_pants friends' with an earliest bid time as the advertising shopping mall succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit.
In operation 240, the product advertising system 100 determines a display order of product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls based on a sorting rule. In this instance, the sorting rule is determined by a bid amount of each of the advertising shopping malls, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof. Also, the sorting rule may correspond to a display order score which is acquired by assigning a weight value to each of a relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity thereof, and a relative evaluation score with respect to the trust thereof, and adding the relative evaluation scores. In this instance, the sorting rule may be determined based on a characteristic of product information of the advertising shopping malls. Hereinafter, a method of determining a display order of product advertising will be described with reference to FIG. 8.
FIG. 8 illustrates an example of a method of determining a display order of product advertising according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 8, the product advertising system 100 calculates a relative evaluation score with respect to a bid amount of each of a plurality of advertising shopping malls, a relative evaluation score with respect to a product popularity thereof, and a relative evaluation score with respect to a trust thereof. Also, the product advertising system 100 assigns a weight value to each of the relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount each of the plurality of advertising shopping malls, the relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity, and the relative evaluation score with respect to the trust thereof, adds the relative evaluation scores, and then acquires the display order score. For example, the product advertising system 100 may assign a weight value of 0.7 to the relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount, assign a weight value of 0.2 to the relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity, and assign a weight value of 0.1 to the relative evaluation score with respect to a shopping mall class. Also, factors, needed for determining the display order, may be different based upon the characteristic of the advertising product.
Also, the product advertising system 100 may determine a display order based on the determined display order score, to display product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls in a display area. Specifically, the product advertising system 100 determines a display order of product information of a shopping mall 'luxury park' with a greatest display order score '86.67', as NO. 1 of the display area. Also, the product advertising system 100 determines a display order of product information of a shopping mall 'GSestore mini shop_pants friends' with a second greatest display order score '83.27', as NO. 2 of the display area.
As described above, according to the present invention, a product advertising method may determine a display order of product information based on a bid amount for a purchase unit, a product popularity, and a trust for a shopping mall. Accordingly, it is possible to provide product information which can satisfy both a product searcher and an advertiser.
In operation 250, the product advertising system 100 changes the service product database into a product advertising database for a product advertising service.
In this instance, the product advertising database includes various types of data for the product advertising service, such as advertising period information, advertising shopping mall information, a product advertising function, and the like.
In operation 260, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the product advertising database. In this instance, the selected advertising shopping malls are applied with a product advertising function. For example, the product advertising function may move a display location of product information of the advertising shopping malls to an advertising area location designated in the product advertising database. Also, the product advertising function may utilize an advertising icon or a background color for product information of the advertising shopping malls.
In operation 270, the product advertising system 100 determines whether the advertising period associated with product information of the advertising shopping malls is concluded.
In operation 280, when the advertising period is concluded, the product advertising system 100 changes the product advertising database into the service product database.
In operation 290, the product advertising system 100 terminates a product advertising function about product information of the advertising shopping malls. Specifically, when the advertising period is terminated, the product advertising system moves a display location of the advertising product to a service area location designated based on the product search service, and displays product information of the advertising shopping malls on the changed display location.
Hereinafter, a method of displaying product information will be described with reference to FIGS . 9 through 11. FIG. 9 illustrates an example of a view displaying product information based on a keyword according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 9, when a search keyword, for example, 'vest', is entered from a product searcher, the product advertising system 100 utilizes advertising icons 901 and background colors 902 for product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls and displays the product information in an advertising area 900 of a front page of a product search result page associated with the search keyword 'vest' in operation 260. In this instance, the display order of product information displayed in the advertising area 900 is determined based on the sorting rule.
Also, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls in the advertising area 900 of the product search result page only during the advertising period. The product search result page is provided in a form that advertising product information and non-advertising product information are mixed, however, is classified into an advertising area and a service area. In this instance, the advertising area displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing a purchase unit, based on bid amounts. Also, the service area displays product information retrieved by a search service.
Also, when the advertising period is concluded, the product advertising system 100 changes the product advertising database into the service product database, moves a display location of product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls to a service area designated in the service product database, and displays the product information in the changed service area.
FIG. 10 illustrates an example of a view displaying product information based on a category according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
As shown in FIG. 10, when a category, for example, 'clothing/underwear > women's wear > jumpers', is received from a product searcher, the product advertising system 100 utilizes advertising icons 1001 and background colors 1002 for product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls and displays the product information in an advertising area 1000 of a product search result page associated with the category in operation 260. In this instance, the display order of product information displayed in the advertising area 1000 is determined based on the sorting rule.
Also, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls in the advertising area 1000 of the product search result page only during the advertising period.
Also, when the advertising period is concluded, the product advertising system
100 changes the product advertising database into the service product database, moves a display location of product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls to a service area designated in the service product database, and displays the prpduct information in the changed service area.
FIG. 11 illustrates an example of a view displaying product information based on a product model name according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 11, when a product model name, for example, 'iriver TlO
MP31 is entered from a product searcher, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls in an advertising area 1100 of a product search result page associated with the product model name in operation 260. In this instance, the display order of product information displayed in the advertising area 1100 is determined based on the sorting rule.
Also, the product advertising system 100 displays product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls in the advertising area 1100 of the product search result page only during the advertising period.
Also, when the advertising period is concluded, the product advertising system 100 changes the product advertising database into the service product database, moves a display location of product information of the plurality of advertising shopping malls to a service area designated in the service product database, and displays the product information in the changed service area.
FIG. 12 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration of a product advertising system 1200 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 12, the product advertising system 1200 includes a database 1210, a receiver 1220, a selector 1230, a determination component 1240, and a display component 1250.
The database 1210 stores various types of data for a product search service and a product advertising service. The product search service provides general search results in response to a product search request from a product searcher, and the product advertising service displays product information of a selected advertising shopping mall based on a bid amount, in an advertising area, and displays product information of the selected advertising shopping mall in a service area based on the general search results.
Also, the database 1210 may include a product search database for the product search service and a product advertising database for the product advertising service, to provide search service results based on a keyword, a category, a product model name, and the like.
In this instance, the product advertising database may include a bid date, an advertiser, an advertiser type, a bid amount, S/F information, and advertising period information to select an advertising shopping mall based on the product advertising service. Also, the product advertising database may include an advertiser, a bide amount, a product popularity, a shopping mall class, location information of a display area, and the like, to determine a display order of the selected advertising shopping mall.
The receiver 1220 receives bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit selected from a plurality of shopping malls. Specifically, the receiver 1120 receives bid amounts about the purchase unit from the plurality of shopping malls. In this instance, the purchase unit includes any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name.
Also, the receiver 1220 receives a keyword, a category or a product model name from a product searcher for a product search.
The selector 1230 selects a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls, based on the received bid amounts. In this instance, the predetermined number of advertising shopping malls succeeds in purchasing the purchase unit. Specifically, the selector 1230 selects a predetermined number of shopping malls as the advertising shopping malls, in an order of greater bid amounts. In this instance, the account balance of the advertising shopping mall should be greater than the bid amounts when the advertising shopping malls are selected.
Also, the selector 1230 determines a shopping mall with a comparatively earlier bid time as the advertising shopping mall, when an identical bid amount is received.
The determination component 1240 determines a display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls, based on a sorting rule with respect to the selected advertising shopping malls. Specifically, the determination component 1240 utilizes a bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof for the sorting rule, and thereby determines the display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls.
Also, the determination component 1240 assigns a weight value to each of the bid amounts for each of the selected advertising shopping malls, the product popularity thereof, and the trust thereof, calculates a display order score based on the assigned weight value. Also, the determination component 1240 determines the display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the calculated display order score. Specifically, the determination component 1240, may assign a weight value to each of a relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount, a relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity, and a relative evaluation score with respect to the trust, calculate a display order score based on the assigned weight value, and determine the display order of product information of the advertising shopping malls based on the calculated display order score.
The display component 1250 displays product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the database. In this instance, the selected advertising shopping malls are applied with a product advertising function. Specifically, the display component 1250, by referring to the database 1210, applies the product advertising function to product information of the advertising shopping malls and displays the product information in an advertising area based on the determined display order during the advertising period.
Also, the display component 1250, by referring to the database 1210, displays advertising products of the selected advertising shopping malls in an advertising area designated by the product advertising service during the advertising period, and displays the advertising product of the selected advertising shopping malls in a service area designated by the advertising search service when the advertising period is concluded.
Also, the display component 1250, by referring to the database 1210, applies an advertising icon or a background color based upon the product advertising service during the advertising period, and thereby displays an advertising product of the selected advertising shopping malls.
The display component 1250 terminates the applying of the advertising icon or the background color and displays the advertising products in a service area designated by the product search service when the advertising period is concluded.
The exemplary embodiments of the present invention include computer-readable media including program instructions to implement various operations embodied by a computer. The media may also include, alone or in combination with the program instructions, data files, data structures, tables, and the like. The media and program instructions may be those specially designed and constructed for the purposes of the present invention, or they may be of the kind well known and available to those having skill in the computer software arts. Examples of computer-readable media include magnetic media such as hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tape; optical media such as CD ROM disks; magneto-optical media such as floptical disks; and hardware devices that are specially configured to store and perform program instructions, such as readonly memory devices (ROM) and random access memory (RAM). The media may also be a transmission medium such as optical or metallic lines, wave guides, etc. including a carrier wave transmitting signals specifying the program instructions, data structures, etc. Examples of program instructions include both machine code, such as produced by a compiler, and files containing higher level code that may be executed by the computer using an interpreter.
According to the present invention, there is provided a product advertising method and system which can select an advertising shopping mall bidding for an advertising area, sort product information of the advertising shopping mall according to a predetermined rule, and then display product information of the advertising shopping mall in the advertising area when product information is sorted on a product search result page.
Also, according to the present invention, there is provided a product advertising method and system which can select any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name as a purchase unit, select an advertising shopping mall based on a bid amount for the purchase unit, determine a display order of product information of the advertising shopping mall based on a predetermined sorting rule, and provide product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the determined display order,. Also, according to the present invention, there is provided a product advertising method and system which can utilize a bid amount of an advertising shopping mall, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof for a sorting rule, and thereby determine a display order of product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the sorting rule and display product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the display order.
Also, according to the present invention, there is provided a product advertising method and system which can calculate a display order score by adding a relative evaluation score with respect to a bid amount of an advertising shopping mall, a relative evaluation score with respect to a product popularity thereof, and , a relative evaluation score with respect to a trust thereof, determine a display order based on the display order score, and display product information of the advertising shopping mall based on the display order.
Although a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments. Instead, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made to these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined by the claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. A method of providing product advertising, the method comprising the steps of: maintaining a service product database for a product search service; receiving bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit from a plurality of shopping malls; selecting a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls, based on the received bid amounts, the selected advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit; determining a display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls, based on a predetermined sorting rule; changing the service product database into a product advertising database for a product advertising service; and displaying product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the product advertising database, the selected advertising shopping malls being applied with a product advertising function.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the purchase unit includes any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the sorting rule is determined by a bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the sorting rule is determined by a display order score which is acquired by adding a relative evaluation score with respect to the bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a relative evaluation score with respect to the product popularity thereof, and a relative evaluation score with respect to the trust thereof, the selected advertising shopping malls being applied with a weight value.
5. The method of claim 1, wherein the sorting rule is determined based on a characteristic of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls.
6. The method of claim 1, wherein the product advertising function moves a display location of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls to an advertising area location designated in the product advertising database.
7. The method of claim 1, wherein the product advertising function utilizes an advertising icon or a background color for product information of the selected advertising shopping malls.
8. The method of claim 1, further comprising the steps of: changing the product advertising database into the service product database when the advertising period is concluded; and moving a display location of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls to a service area location designated in the service product database.
9. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of selecting selects an advertising shopping mall with a comparatively earlier bid time for the purchase unit when an identical bid amount is received.
10. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of receiving comprises the steps of: receiving information about the purchase unit selected from the plurality of shopping malls; providing bid information about the selected purchased unit to the plurality of shopping malls; receiving the bid amounts from the plurality of shopping malls; registering advertising data in the service product database, based on the bid amounts; providing a predicted display order to the plurality of shopping malls, based on the bid amounts; and setting various types of functions for the product advertising service.
11. A computer-readable recording medium storing a program for implementing the method according to any one of claims 1 through 10.
12. A product advertising system comprising: a database configured to store data for a product search service and a product advertising service; a receiver configured to receive bid amounts for purchasing a purchase unit which is selected from a plurality of shopping malls; a selector configured to select a predetermined number of advertising shopping malls, based on the received bid amounts, the selected advertising shopping malls succeeding in purchasing the purchase unit; a determination component configured to determine a display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls, based on a sorting rule with respect to the selected advertising shopping malls; and a display component configured to display product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the determined display order during a predetermined advertising period, by referring to the database, the selected advertising shopping malls being applied with a product advertising function.
13. The system of claim 12, wherein the receiver receives bid amounts about the purchase unit from the plurality of shopping malls, the purchase unit including any one of a keyword, a category, and a product model name.
14. The system of claim 12, wherein the determination component utilizes a bid amount of each of the selected advertising shopping malls, a product popularity thereof, and a trust thereof for the sorting rule, and thereby determines the display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls.
15. The system of claim 14, wherein the determination component assigns a weight value to each of the bid amount each of the selected advertising shopping malls, the product popularity thereof, and the trust thereof, calculates a display order score based on the assigned weight value, and determines the display order of product information of the selected advertising shopping malls based upon the calculated display order score.
16. The system of claim 12, wherein the display component, by referring to the database, displays advertising products of the selected advertising shopping malls in an advertising area designated by the product advertising service during the advertising period, and displays the advertising products of the selected advertising shopping malls in a service area designated by the advertising search service when the advertising period is concluded.
17. The system of claim 12, wherein the display component, by referring to the database, applies an advertising icon or a background color based upon the product advertising service during the advertising period, and thereby displays advertising products of the selected advertising shopping malls, and the display component terminates the applying of the advertising icon or the background color and displays the advertising products in a service area designated by the product search service when the advertising period is concluded.
