Description

PERSONAL MEDIA CONTENTS FURNISHING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING CERTIFICATED E-MAIL VIA CHANNEL
Technical Field The present invention relates to a method and system for providing authenticated personal media contents to each channel, and more particularly, to a method and system for providing personal media contents that can block spam personal media contents from a source by providing a receiving user terminal with personal media contents of a sending user via a channel being directly established by a receiving user receiving the personal media contents.
Background Art
Currently, various services for personal media contents are provided with the popularization of the Internet. For a general service of personal media contents, a server for personal media contents receives personal media contents and an address of the personal media contents of a receiving user, and stores the personal media contents in a predetermined area of a storage medium which is distinguished by the address of the personal media contents. In this instance, when the receiving user connects to the personal media contents server, the personal media contents server provides the receiving user with the personal media contents. However, whether personal media contents stored in a storage medium, allocated to each person, are spam contents may not be verified. Currently, a technique that can verify spam personal media contents by recognizing character strings included in a title or text of the personal media contents is introduced. However, such a technique has not been able to filter spam personal media contents from a source.
When personal media contents are spam personal media contents, the receiving user is required to delete the spam personal media contents after identifying by opening the personal media contents one by one, or is required to establish a block for the spam personal media contents. In a conventional service for personal media contents, more spam personal media contents are received in comparison to normal personal media contents, and a user is not satisfied with a presently used account since a number of the spam personal media contents is large. Accordingly, the user should delete the presently used account or generate a new account. In this instance, it is inconvenient that the user should spend an undesirable amount of time to delete or generate the corresponding account, and inform an address of personal media contents of a newly generated account to other users. Conventionally, various services for providing information are popularized.
As an example of the various services for providing information, there is a service for providing online information that continuously provides online information in limited to a selected interesting field via a specific channel. For the service of providing online information, a user downloads an application provided via a server of an online provider and establishes the downloaded application in advance, then operates the application to select a required category to read the online information. As an example, a user may select categories such as news, hobby, and wedding, and continuously receive online information corresponding to those categories, received from a predetermined contents server in the server for providing online information. For this, the server for providing online information frequently receives various online information from a contents server, and stores the received online information according to each category. Each category may be understood as a channel to distinguish the various information, and the online information may be continuously provided to a user's client terminal via a selected channel only. That is, by using the above described service for providing online information, a user receives online information via a different channel for each category selected by the user, a problem that online information is received from an unauthenticated sender or an undesired category can be solved.
A new configuration that can solve the above described problem existing in a conventional personal media contents by modifying the service for providing online information is disclosed.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Hereinafter, a method and system for providing authenticated personal media contents to each channel will be described in detail by referring to accompanied drawings according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a network for providing personal media contents according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 1, a system 130 for providing personal media content according to the present invention provides a second client terminal 130 with personal media contents being registered by a first client terminal 110. In this instance, the system 130 for providing personal media contents may provide the personal media contents via a channel which is established in advance to continuously receive information in the second client terminal 120. By using the system 130 for providing personal media contents according to the present invention, a source of spam personal media contents from a user not registered in a channel may be blocked.
More specifically, the system 130 for providing personal media contents stores online information about categories which are different according to each channel. The online information may be divided into different categories such as news, economy, society, politics, culture, entertainment, and hobby, and may be frequently updated from a predetermined contents server. Also, the system 130 for providing personal media contents reads the online information stored in the category being established in advance by the user and continually provides the read online information to the user's terminal. The system 130 for providing personal media contents further includes categories of a service for personal media contents as well as the aforementioned categories. Specifically, the system 130 for providing personal media contents receives various online information from a predetermined contents server, stores personal media contents received from the second user in the category of the personal media contents service in correspondence to a configuration that continually provides a corresponding category to a selected user, and provides the first user who has selected the category of the personal media contents service with the stored personal contents. For this, the system 130 for providing personal media contents maintains a database that stores personal information about a user which is distinguished by a channel, and verifies a corresponding channel using the received channel information when channel information and the personal media contents are received from the first client terminal 110. When the first client terminal 110 has transmitted the personal media contents to transmit to a channel 1, the system 130 for providing personal media contents reads a second user's personal information corresponding to the channel 1, by referring to the database. When the channel 1 is stored in relation to the second user's personal information in the database, the second user connects to the system 130 for providing personal media contents in advance, and exclusively receives the personal media contents stored in the channel 1. Hereinafter, a method for providing personal media contents will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. 2 through 6.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a method for providing personal media contents according to an embodiment of the present invention. Referring to FIG. 2, in operation 201, a system for providing personal media contents according to the present invention maintains a database that stores personal information about a receiving user (hereinafter "second user"). The database will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 3.
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a database according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 3, a database 300 stores personal information 'AAA', 'BBB', 'CCC, and 'DDD' in relation to a channel 1. As an example, the personal information corresponds to member identifications (ID) being established by users when the users join the system for providing personal media contents, and the channel information corresponds to channels that have accepted to receive the personal media contents by the users. In this instance, the channel 1 corresponds to a sending user (hereinafter "first user"), for example, a user identified to be 1AAA' may receive personal media contents transmitted from the first user.
Referring back to FIG. 2, in operation 202, the system for providing personal media contents receives channel information and personal media contents from the first user, and identifies a channel included in channel information. Also, the system for providing personal media contents reads personal information corresponding to the identified channel by referring to the database in operation 203. As an example, referring to the database 300 of FIG. 3, when the identified channel corresponds to the channel 1, the system for providing personal media contents may read the personal information 'AAA', 'BBB1, 'CCC, and 'DDD' corresponding to the channel 1.
In operation 204, the system for providing personal media contents may provide a client application to be installed in the second client terminal with the personal media contents using the read personal information. As an example, referring to the database 300 of FIG. 3, the system for providing personal media contents may provide the personal media contents to users via the channel 1, according to the read personal information 'AAA', 'BBB', 'CCC. In this instance, the provided personal media contents may be provided to the users during a predetermined time, and when the predetermined time passes, the personal media contents may be deleted.
The system for providing personal media contents may receive personal information about the first user in advance from the second user, and register the first user as an authenticated user, allowed to send personal media contents, in the database 300. That is, the second user may receive personal media contents via a corresponding channel, the personal media contents being sent from the first user allowed to send personal media contents, which will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 4.
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating a database 400 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 4, the database 400 stores first personal information, second personal information, and channel information in relation to each other. The first personal information is personal information about a receiving user receiving personal media contents, and the second personal information is personal information about a sending user, allowed to transmit personal media contents to the receiving user. In this instance, whether to transmit the personal media contents may be determined by agreement between the receiving user and the sending user. Referring to a reference numeral 401 of FIG. 4, a receiving user 1AAA' is allowed to receive personal media contents from three sending users 'FFF', 'GGG', and 'HHH', via a channel 1. That is, the sending users, distinguished to be second personal information, may store the personal media contents in the channel 1 , and receiving users, distinguished to be first personal information, may receive and read the personal media information stored in the channel 1 , similar to the continuously provided online information.
The system for providing personal media content according to the present invention may newly register a new receiving user that has registered in a corresponding channel. For this, the system for providing personal media content receives personal information about a receiving user and channel information from a sending client terminal, and requests a receiver client terminal to register a service in the receiver client terminal using the personal information about the receiving user. When it is verified that the service is registered in the receiver client terminal, the personal information about the receiver is newly registered in a database in correspondence to the corresponding channel. That is, when personal media contents for the corresponding channel is registered, the registered personal media contents may be provided to the newly registered receiving user.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the personal media contents registered in the corresponding channel includes time period information. The system for providing personal media contents verifies whether a present date corresponds to the time period information, and provides the receiver client terminal with the personal media contents when the present date corresponds to the time period information, and deletes the personal media contents when the present date does not correspond to the time period information. The time period information may be used for penalization. Specifically, the system for providing personal media contents may calculate a cost based on at least one of an amount of the personal media contents provided to the client application, a number of times the providing is performed, and a period of time of the providing, and may penalize the calculated cost.
Accordingly, the system for providing personal media contents may block spam personal media contents from a source by providing a receiving user terminal with a sender's personal media contents via a channel being directly established by a receiving user. Also, the system for providing personal media contents may store more personal media contents by overcoming a limited capacity of a storage medium of a client terminal since the personal media contents is stored in a mass storage medium which is distinguished by a channel in a server end.
FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating a web page 500 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 5, a second user reads personal media contents being registered in a channel 1 by a first user. Specifically, when the second user connects to a client application which is provided from a system for providing personal media contents and installed in a terminal in advance, the system for providing personal media contents verifies the second user's connection. Also, the system for providing personal media contents verifies whether there is newly registered personal media contents from the first user in a channel with respect to the second user, that is in the channel 1. As a result of the verification, when there is the newly registered personal media contents in the channel 1, the system for providing personal media contents provides a second user's terminal with the newly registered personal media contents via a second user's client application. In this instance, the personal media contents may be provided in a type of the web page 500. The web page may include an area for channel display 501 identifying a channel which has transmitted present personal media contents, an area for receiving release establishment 502 determining whether to receive the personal media contents with respect to the presently received channel, an area for recommendation 503 recommending a provided service for personal media contents to another user, an area for menu selection 504 providing other service menus, and an area for personal media contents display 505 for playing a text, an image, a moving image, and an audio format included in the personal media contents. Also, the web page 500 may further include an area for an advertisement 506.
With regard to transmission of personal media contents, it may be embodied similar to the type of the web page 500 of FIG. 5. Specifically, to transmit personal media contents, personal media contents is displayed in the area for personal media contents display 505, and an icon capable of processing transmission-input for the personal media contents may be located in a portion of the web page 500.
The web page 500 according to the present invention may provide a different skin for each sending user. For this, the system for providing personal media contents selects a skin to display the personal media contents from the sending client terminal, and requests the receiver client terminal to establish the selected skin. In this instance, the system for providing personal media contents may provide the receiver client terminal with the personal media contents based on read personal information only when the skin is established in the receiver second client terminal.
According to the present invention, it is possible to quickly and easily identify a sender of personal media contents by varying skins to display personal media contents for each user, and to assure profits for a service provider and to offer personal media contents of high quality by inserting an advertisement to the skin.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating a web page 600 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 6, to continuously receive online information, a receiving user connects to a system for providing personal media contents and selects a required category for a service. That is, the receiving user may continuously receive online information from the category by establishing the category into news, entertainment, hobby, and the like. Also, the receiving user is provided personal media contents received from each channel by establishing a category for each personal media contents. Specifically, the receiving user may receive personal media contents from channels 1, 7, and 8 from among categories of the personal media contents. Personal media contents received from a sending user being identified by personal information 'FFF', 'GGG', and 'HHH' may be stored in the channel 1. As an example, users of the personal information 'FFF', 'GGG', and 1HHH' established in the channel 1 may be included in an identical group, and may be different members in a company.
Also, the web page 600 may provide a preview screen, and provide brief personal media contents including titles of a plurality of personal media contents being transmitted to a corresponding channel when a user selects a specific channel.
FIG. 7 is a block-diagram illustrating an inner configuration of a system 700 for providing personal media contents according to an embodiment of the present invention.
The system 700 for providing personal media contents includes a database 710, a personal media contents receiving unit 720, an identification unit 730, a reading unit
740, and a personal media contents providing unit 750.
The database 710 stores personal information about a user which is distinguished by a channel. Specifically, the database 710 stores personal information about a receiving user having been requested to receive personal media contents in correspondence to each channel which is different according to categories of a service.
The personal media contents receiving unit 720 receives channel information and personal media contents from a sending client terminal, and the identification unit 730 identifies a corresponding channel based on the received channel information. The reading unit 740 reads the personal information about the receiving user corresponding to the identified corresponding channel by referring to the database 710. That is, the reading unit 740 reads the personal information about the receiving user having requested to receive the personal media contents via the corresponding channel by referring to the database 710. As an example, the personal information may correspond to a member identification (ID) of the receiving user, and may identify a client application installed in a client terminal via the member ID.
The personal media contents providing unit 750 provides the client application installed in a second client terminal with the personal media contents using the read personal information. Specifically, the receiving user establishes the client application in a predetermined terminal, and logs-in the client application by inputting a member ID and passwords, thereby reading the personal media contents registered in the corresponding channel in the system 700 for providing media contents. The system 700 for providing media contents according to the present invention may newly register a new receiving user in the corresponding channel. In this instance, personal media contents transmitted to a channel being determined by a sending user may be additionally provided to the newly registered receiving user. For this, the system 700 for providing media contents may further include a registration processing unit 760 that registers the newly registered receiving user in the database 710. The registration unit 760 receives personal information and channel information about the receiving user from a sender's client, and requests to register a service in the receiver client terminal based on the received personal information about the receiving user. When the service is registered in response to the request, the registration processing unit 760 newly registers the personal information of the receiving user in the database 710.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the personal media contents include time period information being received from the sending client terminal. The system 700 for providing personal media contents may delete expired personal media contents by verifying the time period information. For this, the personal media contents providing unit 750 may verify whether a present data corresponds to the time period information, and provide the receiver client terminal with the personal media contents when the present date corresponds to the time period information, or may delete the personal media contents when the present date does not correspond to the time period information. The time period information providing the personal media contents may be reflected in penalization. The sending user may set a time period to provide transmitted personal media contents into a day, a week, a month, and the like, and the system 700 for providing personal media contents may penalize according to the time period set in the personal media contents.
The system 700 for providing personal media contents further stores personal information about a sending user being selected from the receiving user in the database 710, and, when a first sending user stores personal media contents in a corresponding channel, the first sending user may determine to transmit the personal media contents by verifying whether the first sending user corresponds to the sending user being selected in advance by the receiving user. For this, the system 700 for providing personal media contents further includes a transmission determination unit 770 that verifies whether to transmit the personal media contents according to personal information about sending user being selected in advance by referring to the database 710.
As described above, according to a system for providing personal media contents of the present invention, spam personal media contents may be blocked from a source, and more personal media contents may be stored by overcoming a limited capacity of a storage medium of a client terminal. The method for providing personal media contents according to the above- described exemplary embodiments may be recorded in computer-readable media including program instructions to implement various operations embodied by a computer. The media may also include, alone or in combination with the program instructions, data files, data structures, and the like. Examples of computer-readable media include magnetic media such as hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tape; optical media such as CD ROM disks and DVD; magneto-optical media such as optical disks; and hardware devices that are specially configured to store and perform program instructions, such as read-only memory (ROM), random access memory (RAM), flash memory, and the like. The media may also be a transmission medium such as optical or metallic lines, wave guides, and the like, including a carrier wave transmitting signals specifying the program instructions, data structures, and the like. Examples of program instructions include both machine code, such as produced by a compiler, and files containing higher level code that may be executed by the computer using an interpreter. The described hardware devices may be configured to act as one or more software modules in order to perform the operations of the above-described embodiments of the present invention.
According to the present invention, it is possible to block spam personal media contents from a source by providing a receiving user terminal with personal media contents of a sending user via a channel being directly established by the receiving user. According to the present invention, it is possible to store more personal media contents by overcoming a limited capacity of a storage medium of a client terminal.
