Abstract

An advertising method and advertising system is provided. The advertising method is capable of providing calculation information regarding objective sales information to an advertiser and an advertisement medium for accurate calculation of advertising costs in relation to sales information made after posting advertisement information on an online/offline medium.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to an advertising method and an advertising system capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information for the purpose of providing accurate calculation information with respect to sales performance between an advertiser and advertisement medium after an advertisement has been carried out via an online and/or offline medium.
Background Art
In present society, producers are providing various types of products and services to consumers. As for the product producers provide for profit, the producers look to have more consumers use more of their products and services. However, with the producers sharing products and providing services of with identical or similar intentions, the competition between the producers is enormously high. Consequently, the producers rely on an advertisement medium to advertise their products and services to the consumers for increasing sales. Nevertheless, there has been a problem of advertisers, who are essentially producers, not being able to assess an exact portion of contribution to the sales increase in an advertisement activity due to the advertisement medium, a problem which hinders accurate payment for the advertisement medium. Consequently, advertisers suffered from difficulties for assessing the costs for advertisement from a perspective of administration. Conversely, an advertisement medium has been receiving payments without accurate statistical information regarding increased sales through the advertisement, thus on a similar term, had difficulties in setting adequate pricing for the advertisement.
As described above, calculation of the advertisement costs without an objective standard has generated problems in accessing the calculation for both an advertiser and advertisement medium. Disclosure of Invention
Technical Goals
The present invention provides an advertising method and advertising system which may objectively calculate advertising costs based on objective sales information according to an increase of sales for both an advertiser and an advertisement medium by providing objective sales information between the advertiser and the advertisement medium.
The present invention also provides an advertising method and advertising system which may calculate advertising costs based on sales information which helps to consider suitable and economical profits of advertising between an advertiser and an advertisement medium by connecting the advertiser to an online/offline medium.
The present invention also provides an advertising method and advertising system which may calculate advertising costs based on sales information helping an advertiser and an advertisement medium to budget for advertising activities by providing statistical information regarding pending advertisement information and advertisement information which is processed to date.
Technical solutions In order to achieve the above objectives, and to solve the problems from the existing technology, according to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided an advertising method capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention including: forwarding advertisement information inputted from an advertiser to an advertisement medium, and allocating a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertisement information; posting the advertisement information via the advertisement medium on a medium; receiving sales information being generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on the medium from the advertising; updating the calculation information within the allocated calculation field using the received sales information; and enabling a calculation process between the advertiser and the advertisement medium by forwarding the updated calculation information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium. Also, according to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided an advertising system capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information including: a forwarding unit forwarding advertising information inputted from an advertiser, and allocating a calculation field within the allocated calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertising information; an interface unit receiving sales information being generated in relation to posting of the advertisement information on the medium by the advertisement medium; an update unit updating calculation information in the calculation field using the received sales information; and another forward unit enabling a calculation process between the advertiser and the advertisement medium by forwarding the updated calculation information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Hereinafter, an advertising method and advertising system capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information will be described in detail by referring to accompanied drawings according to exemplary embodiments of the present invention.
FIG. 1 is a diagram illustrating a network connections of an advertising system 100 capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
The advertising system 100 of the present invention provides calculation information which includes a number of times each product is purchased or sales information to an advertiser 101 and the advertisement medium 102. Thus, the advertiser 101 may pay the advertisement medium 102 for the number of times each product is purchased or sales information. The advertiser 101 may be presented with an objective standard to pay the advertisement medium 102 based on a contribution level for the increased sales.
Also, the advertisement medium 102 may utilize the above advertising system 100 to post the advertisement information on a remaining space of the advertisement, that is may make more profits from the advertisement. Also, the advertisement medium 102 may make use of information regarding the number of times each product is purchased or sales information, and request payment of the objective costs to the advertiser.
The advertisement medium may be a subject which is granted posting rights for the information inputted with the advertising system of the present invention to post on an online/offline medium. Regarding the above posting of advertisement information through the online media/offline media, the advertising system provides the identifier to the advertisers to construct an environment where the advertising system or advertiser may accurately understand which particular advertisement information are posted in which particular online/offline medium.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating an advertising method capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
In operation 201, the advertising system of the present invention processes the authentication for the advertiser. Operation 201 is a process of performing the authentication for the advertisers who wish to forward advertisement information.
Also within this process, the advertisers are validated as a legal member user who is entitled with the rights to use services related to the present invention. In the case user authentication is granted in operation 201, the advertising system performs the subsequent processes. ('Yes' direction in operation 201) However, when the authentication is not granted in operation 201, the advertising system stops the execution of operation, and may send a notification message to inform the advertiser that services are not permitted. ('No' direction in operation 201)
In operation 202, the advertising system provides a table for advertisement organization of the advertisement medium. Operation 202 is a process which provides a table for advertisement organization for various advertisement mediums and allows the advertiser to actively select a time and a period of exposure of desired advertisement information in the advertisement medium.
As an example, the advertising system of the present invention receives advertisement information related to CM(Commercial Music) videos. The advertising system may provide the table for advertisement organization of the advertisement medium of which the advertisement information may be posted for newspaper or for TV, which are offline media.
Also, in the case the advertising system of the present invention receives the advertisement information from the advertiser in the form of an Internet banner, the advertising system may provide the table for advertisement organization for Internet banner which is an online media.
As an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, each of the online medium and the offline medium which is included in the table for advertisement organization are given with the predetermined identifier, which allows the advertiser to select an online/offline media to post the advertisement information. Using the provided table for advertisement organization, the advertiser may actively designate the time and the period of which the advertisement information may be posted through the above online medium or offline medium. As an example, advertisement contents of the above CM image may be assigned to be posted at a specific time of '9 PM' for the offline TV, with a specific time period of '6 months duration'. At the same time, an Internet banner advertisement may be also designated to be posted for a specific time period of '6 months'. Also, in the case the advertisement information is of a type of subtitles, the advertiser may designate a time for advertising for the above subtitles advertisement, besides a TV commercial time phase.
The advertiser may consider a time and a time period of the other advertisements to determine the posting of the desired advertisement in a specific time and a specific time period.
Alternatively, in the case that the advertising system receives a request to stop the posting from the advertiser, the system may generate a related request signal to stop the posting to the online/offline medium of which the advertisement information is being posted. The advertisement medium which received the above stop request may cancel the posting of the advertisement information currently posted through the online or the offline medium.
In operation 203, the advertising system maintains an information database with the advertisement information matching the advertiser and in operation 204, and the advertising system forwards the inputted advertisement information to the selected advertisement medium.
Also, in the case that the above inputted advertisement information is of a type of subtitles consisting of characters, numbers or icons, the advertising system, in the case of posting advertisement in the type of subtitles, performs streaming of the advertisement information in a predetermined display area of the above media. Here, streaming is defined as a displaying on a TV screen or a web page (with moving or static images) or displaying of the advertisement information in the type of subtitles in a specific area of the TV screen or of the webpage regardless of contexts.
As for TV broadcasting, in the case inputted advertisement information includes subtitles of 'Wangjokbal, 02-700-7000 and a picture of a pork', the advertising system streams the inputted advertisement information of 'Wangjokbal, 02-700-7000 and a picture of a pork' at the bottom of the TV display screen.
In operation 204, the advertising system allocates a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the advertisement information forwarding.
The calculation field is a type of a storage area independently allocated to the authenticated advertiser for the purpose of storing and updating various information associated with the calculation of the advertisements. As an example, the calculation field may continuously record and update a total number of times the advertisement information is exposed in the online/offline medium, a number of times the advertisement information is exposed in the online/offline medium via a specific advertisement medium, and a number of times each product is actually purchased due to the advertisement information. In the present specification, the various information recorded and updated in the calculation field are referred to as 'calculation information' and the calculation information may be used for calculation of advertising costs between the advertiser and the advertisement medium. Details of the related context are described as below.
In operation 205, the advertising system receives sales information which is generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on the online/offline medium from the advertisement medium. After receiving the advertisement information, the advertisement medium posts the advertisement information on the advertisement media and an related online media such as an Internet banner, and the like, or an offline media such as TV newspapers, magazines, and the like, according to a specific time and a specific time period predetermined by the advertiser (or according to the predefined schedule). During such posting of the advertisement information via the media, the advertisement medium generates the sales information including a number of times of exposure, a number of times of actual purchases, and the like in relation to the postings, and the advertising system of the present invention receives the generated sales information of the advertisement information which may be recognized with an identifier.
In this instance, the number of times of exposure may refer to a number of times of postings of the advertisement information in an online/offline medium posted by the advertisement medium. As an example, 10 exposures refer to a fact that the advertisement information have been posted for a total of 10 times in the online medium/offline medium.
Also, the number of times of exposure may refer to a number of times of postings of the advertisement information each the advertisement media. Such number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium may be required since a different rate is weighted on a different advertisement medium based on an assumption that the advertisement medium posts the advertisement information being limited to a medium with specific characteristics. As an example, an advertisement media (the press) which may post the advertisement in an offline medium (magazines, newspapers, and the like) and an online medium (for Internet banner advertisement) which may also be posted with the advertisement may be weighted with different rates due to a fact that an advertising effect may differ. That is, rates which may be weighted on each advertisement media for posting of the advertisement information may differ depending on a name value of the advertisement medium, and an expected advertising effect, and the other factors.
Also, the number of times of actual purchases may refer to a number of times of actual purchases made due to the posting of the above advertisement. Operation 205 is a process of receiving the sales information generated from the advertisement medium in relation to the posting of the advertisement information.
Also in operation 205, from the advertisement medium, the advertising system receives an identifier which is generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on the online medium/offline medium. Also, the advertising system may store the received identifier in correspondence to the received identifier to the advertiser or to the advertisement information in the information database. Such recording of the identifier in the information database may be associated with generation of statistical information, and will be described in detail as below.
As described above, the identifier may be a type of an identification (ID) tag assigned by the advertisement medium in relation to the online/offline posting. The identifier is provided to identify the online media or offline media of which the advertisement information of the advertiser is being posted.
Using the identifier, the advertising system of the present invention or the advertiser may accurately recognize which the specific online media/offline media the advertisement information is posted in.
The advertising system may provide various types of services to the advertisers using the identifier received from the advertisement medium. That is, the advertising system may provide an environment to report the posting of the advertisement on online/offline media to the advertiser in forms of messages, an ARS service using the identifier, which are optimized forms of the reporting. As an example, in the case the identifier includes information of 'xx Newspaper/3 page', the advertising system may generate an SMS message related to the above identifier and to send the SMS messages to the advertiser to inform that the advertisement is being posted on the page 3 of xx Newspaper. As another example, the advertising system may provide a voice message to the advertiser such as 'Your advertisement is now being posted on page 3 of xx Newspaper' In operation 206, the advertising system utilizes the received sales information to update the sales information in the above calculation field. In process 206, the advertising system refers to the sales information in relation to the posting of the advertisement information received from the advertisement medium to update information in the calculation field. For this, the advertising system may record, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the sales information. The advertising system, at a predetermined time, performs updating of the calculation information by considering all recorded sales information in the calculation field.
As an example, when the sales information includes the number of times of the exposures, the advertising system may record, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the number of times of the exposure is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed, and may update the calculation information within the calculation field by summing up the number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during an established advertising period. The established advertising period may be defined as a time period of the advertising costs is paid between the advertiser and the advertisement medium.
As an example, when an advertising time period is set to be '30 days' and when sales information including the number of times of the exposures are received every 24 hours, the advertising system may record the number of times of exposure of the sales information in the calculation field daily, and, from a point when the '30 days' is completed, the recorded number of times of exposures is summed up and the summed- up value may be updated for the calculation information.
As another example, when the sales information includes the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium, the advertising system may record, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium is received to the number of times exposures for each advertisement medium, and may update the calculation information by summing up the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium corresponding to all exposures for each advertisement medium during an established advertising period. In other words, there is a rate difference for each advertisement medium, the advertising system sums up the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium.
As an example, when an advertising period is set to be '30 days' and when a number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium is received every 24 hours, the advertising system may record the number of times exposure of the sales information for each advertisement medium in the calculation field daily. When the '30 days' is completed, the recoded number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium is summed up and the summed-up value may be updated for the calculation information.
As still another example, when the sales information includes the number of times of purchases made for each product, the advertising system may calculate an amount of sales by multiplying a purchasing price of the product and a number of times each product is purchased, and may record, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the number of times each product is purchased to the calculated amount of sales. As an example, when an advertising period is set to be '30 days' and when the of times each product is purchased are received every 24 hours, the advertising system may record the multiplied amount of sales in the calculation field daily, and, when the '30 days' is completed, the summed-up amounts of sales may be updated for the calculation information. In operation 207, the advertising system forwards the generated calculation information to the advertiser and the advertisement medium. Operation 207 is a process where the generated calculation information is forwarded to the advertiser and the advertisement medium for the purpose of constructing objective standards for the advertisement costs. Alternatively, the advertising system may refer to the calculation information to generate statistical information associated with the advertisement information, and provide the generated statistical information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium. As for the generation of the statistical information, an identifier recorded within the above described information database may be used. That is, the advertising system utilizes the identifier for an analysis and generation of statistical information of advertisement information being posted on the online/offline advertisement medium. Also, by providing the generated statistical information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium, the advertising system may provide information to the advertiser which helps the advertiser to ascertain calculation of advertising costs and advertising effect from selection of an advertisement medium, and may provide to the advertisement medium which helps the advertisement medium to ascertain calculation of advertising costs and use of the advertisement medium.
Also, the advertising system may generate statistical information with respect to overall calculation information associated each of all advertisement information to date for both the advertiser and the advertisement medium.
As an example, when an advertising period of posting advertisement information of a 6-month duration expires, the advertising system refers to calculation information of the advertisement information which has been posted for 6 month, and generates the related statistical information. Followed by this process, the advertising system provides statistical information to the advertiser and the advertisement medium. The advertiser may refer to the provided statistical information for the purpose of advertisement fee calculation and an analysis of advertising effects. Also, the advertisement medium may refer the statistical information for the advertisement related calculation and the analysis of the use of the advertisement medium
In operation 208, the advertiser and the advertisement medium performs calculation using the calculation information. Specifically, in operation 208, the advertiser and the advertisement medium calculates advertising costs based on the forwarded calculation information along with a rate according to the identifier to perform the calculation.
As an example, for calculation information, when the summed number of times of exposures is forwarded to the advertiser and the advertisement medium, the advertiser and the advertiser may calculate the advertising costs by multiplying the rate according to the identifier and the above summed number of times of exposure, and may perform the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs. The rate may be defined by the advertiser or the advertisement medium in consideration of the advertisement environments.
As an example, with regard to posting of specific advertisement information on a media, when calculation information including a total number of times of exposure '100' is forwarded to the advertiser and when the advertisement medium and a rate of
'10,000 KRW is defined, advertising costs which should be calculated for both the advertiser and the advertisement medium is '1 million KRW. (= 100 * 10,000).
As another example, when the above summed amount of sales is sent to the advertiser and the advertisement medium, the advertiser and the advertisement medium may perform calculation by multiplying the above summed amount of sales and a rate, and may also perform calculation by referring to the calculated advertisement costs. The rate may be determined by the advertiser and advertisement medium in consideration of advertisement values and advertisement environments of the online/offline media where the advertisement is posted. As still another example, when the calculation information including the total amount of sales of '1 hundred million KRW in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on an online media/offline media has been forwarded to the advertiser or the advertisement medium and when a rate of '1%' is defined by the identifier, the advertising cost which needs to be calculated by the advertiser and advertisement medium may be '1 million KRW. (= 1 hundred million KRW * 0.01)
The advertising method and the advertising system in the present invention may be implemented into an AD linker, which is an application developed by the applicant used for a number of years in research and trials. The above AD linker may be installed into a terminal including a personal computer (PC), and may be realized by this invention. The AD linker is a type of an advertisement execution system which automatically connects the advertiser with the advertisement medium, and may also be considered as an overall concept of the recent ON & OFF Total Marketing services which are based on Cost per Sale (CPS) concept in the online/offline environment.
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of an advertising system capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
A transmission unit 301 forwards inputted advertisement information to the advertisement medium and allocates a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertisement information.
For this, the forward unit 301 maintains an information database which stores the inputted advertisement information in correspondence to the advertiser. Also, the forward unit 301, by considering the advertisement medium, extracts the advertisement information from the information database and forwards the advertisement information to the advertisement medium. Also, the forward unit 301 allocates the calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertisement information. Detailed configuration elements which are included in the forward unit 301 will be described in detail by referring to FIG. 4.
FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating the transmission unit 304 of FIG. 3 in detail. As illustrated in FIG. 4, the forward unit 301 of FIG. 3 may include an authentication unit 401, an organization unit 402, an identification unit 403, an identifier corresponding unit 404, and an allocation unit 405.
The authentication unit 401 performs authentication for the advertiser. An authentication unit 401 performs authentication for advertiser who intends to forward advertisement information, and validates whether an advertiser is a legally valid member user who is entitled for the services related to the present invention. The allocation unit 405, which will be described below, allocates a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the advertisement transmission, only for the authenticated advertiser. Conversely, for an advertiser with authentication denied by the authentication unit 401, the advertising system forwards a notification message that service is not available. The organization unit 402 performs providing a table for advertisement organization of the advertisement medium to the advertiser. By providing the table for advertisement organization of the various types of online medium/offline medium to the advertiser, the organization unit 402 enables the advertisers to actively select a time and a time period of the advertisement information is exposed. The identification unit 403 forwards the advertisement information to the advertisement medium which is a subject of posting the advertisement information on the actual online/offline medium. The identification unit 403 may forward the advertisement information to the advertisement medium which has a right to post the advertisement information on the online medium/offline medium.
The identifier corresponding unit 404, from the advertisement medium, receives the identifier assigned to the advertisement medium in relation to the posting of advertisement information on online medium/offline medium, and records, in the information database, a result of corresponding of the received identifier to the advertiser or the advertisement information. As described above, the identifier recorded in the information database may be involved in the generation of statistics information. The allocation unit 405 allocates a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertisement information. As described above, the calculation field may be referred to a storage space, independently allocated to the authenticated advertiser for the purpose of recording various information required for calculation of advertising costs and for updating. Referring back to FIG. 3, the interface unit 302 receives sales information and an identifier in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on an online medium/offline medium. The interface unit 302 receives the sales information (the number of times of exposures related to the posting of the advertisement information, and the number of times of purchases made), generated from the advertisement medium and the identifier for the online medium/offline medium where the advertisement information are actually posted.
The update unit 303 is responsible for updating the calculation information in the allocated calculation field with the sales information received from the interface unit 302. The update unit 303 refers sales information related to the posting of the advertisement information being received from the advertisement medium, and performs update of the information in the calculation field.
As an example of the updating of the calculation field, when the number of times of exposures is recorded for a predetermined time period in the calculation field, the update unit 303 may update the calculation information within the calculation field by summing up the number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during an established advertising period. As an example, when the advertising period is defined to be '30 days', and the sales information including the number of times of exposures is received every 24 hours, the calculation field may record the number of times of exposures of the sales information on a daily basis, and the update unit 303 may update using the summed value of the number of times exposures recorded in the calculation field when the '30 days' is expired.
As another example of the updating of the calculation field, when the number of times of exposures for each the advertisement medium is recorded in the calculation field in correspondence to the predetermined time period, the update unit 303 may update the calculation information in the calculation field by summing up the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium corresponding to all exposures for each advertisement medium during an established advertising period. As an example, when the advertising period is defined to be '30 days', and when the sales information including the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium is received every 24 hours, the calculation field may record the number of times of exposures of the sales information for each advertisement medium on a daily basis, and the update unit 303 may update using the summed value of the number of times of exposures for each advertisement medium recorded in the calculation field when the '30 days' is expired.
As still another example of the updating of the calculation field, when an amount of sales is recorded to the calculation field in correspondence to the predetermined time period, the update unit 303 may update the calculation information in the calculation field by summing up the amount of sales corresponding to all times during an established advertising period. As an example, in the case when the advertising period is defined to be '30 days' and when the sales information including the number of times of each product is purchased is received every 24 hours, the calculation field may record an amount of sales on a daily basis, and the update unit 303 may update the calculation information using the summed value of the amount of sales recorded in the calculation field when the '30 days' is expired.
Detailed configuration elements included in the update unit 303 of FIG. 3 will be described by referring to FIG. 5. FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating the update unit 303 of FIG. 3 in detail.
As illustrated in FIG. 5, the update unit 303 may include a calculation unit 501, a recording unit 502, and a renewal unit 503. The calculation unit 501 calculates an amount of sales by multiplying a purchasing price of a product and a number of times each product is purchased.
The recording unit 502 records, in a calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when sales information is received to the number of times each product is purchased.
The renewal unit 503 updates calculation information by summing up the amount of sales corresponding to all times during in an established advertising period, or updates the calculation information by summing up a number of times of exposures corresponding to all times during the established advertising period. Referring back to FIG. 3 again, another forward unit 304 forwards the updated calculation information to the advertiser and advertisement medium for the purpose of realizing the actual calculation between the advertiser and the advertisement medium using the calculation information. That is, the other forward unit 304 forwards the updated calculation information to the advertiser and the advertisement medium for the purpose of generating objective standards when calculating advertising costs.
Also, the other forward unit 304 forwards an identifier received from the advertisement medium to the advertiser so that the advertiser may understand correctly which online medium/offline medium is posting the advertiser's advertisement. The identifier may be involved in the calculation for the advertising costs between the advertiser and advertisement medium.
The advertiser and advertisement medium which has received the calculation information and the identifier may calculate the advertisement costs based on a rate according to the identifier.
As an example, when calculation information including the summed number of times of exposure for calculation information (an example of the updating operation) is forwarded to the advertiser and advertisement medium, the advertiser and advertisement medium may calculate by multiplying the number of times of exposure and a rate, and refer to the calculated advertising costs, thereby performing the calculation. As an example, when calculation information including the summed number of times exposure of '100 times' in relation to posting of specific advertisement information is forwarded to the advertiser or the advertisement medium and when a rate of '10,000 KRW is defined by the identifier, advertising costs to be calculated between the advertiser and the advertisement medium may be '1 million KRW. (= 100 * 10,000 KRW)
As another example, when calculation information including the summed number of times of exposures for calculation information (another example of the updating) for each medium is forwarded to the advertiser and advertisement medium, the advertiser and advertisement medium calculate advertising costs by multiplying the number of times exposures for each medium and a rate, and refer to the calculated advertising costs, thereby performing the calculation.
As an example, when calculation information including a number of times of exposures of '10 times' in relation to posting of specific advertisement information on an offline medium, when the specific advertisement information is forwarded to the offline medium in TV, and when a rate of '100,000 KRW is defined by an identifier, advertising costs to be calculated between the advertiser and the advertisement medium may be '1 million KRW. (= 10 * 100,000 KRW) As still another example, when calculation information including a number of times of exposures of '10 times' in relation of posting of specific advertisement information on an online medium, when the advertisement information is forwarded to the online medium in a form of 'Internet banner advertisement', and when a rate of '100,000 KRW is defined by the identifier, advertising costs to be calculated between the advertiser and the advertisement medium may be '1 million KRW. (= 10 * 100,000 KRW)
As yet another example, when calculation information including a summed amount of sales (still another example of the updating) is forwarded to the advertiser and advertisement medium, the advertiser and advertisement medium calculates advertising costs by multiplying the above summed amount of sales and a rate, and refers to the calculated advertising costs, thereby performing the calculation. As an example, when calculation information including the summed amount of sales of ' 100 billion KRW in relation to posting of specific advertisement information and when a rate of '1%' is defined by the identifier, the advertising costs to be calculated between the advertiser and advertisement medium may be '1 million KRW. (= 1 billion KRW * 0.01)
Conversely, the other forward unit 304 may forward the updated calculation information to the advertiser or advertisement medium at a predetermined time period.
As an example, the other forward unit 304 may forward the updated calculation information at the predetermined time period, which is the 10th of every month, to the advertiser or advertisement medium. Consequently, the advertiser or the advertisement medium may automatically receive the updated calculation information at the predetermined time period.
Also, the advertising system 300 may further include a unit for statistics (not shown).
The unit for statistics may refer to the calculation information and an identifier to generate statistical information associated with the advertisement information, and may provide the generated statistics information to the advertiser or advertisement medium.
As an example, when an advertising period of 6-months has expired, the unit for statistics may refer to the calculation information of the above advertisement which has been posted for the last 6 months to generate the statistical information associated with the advertisement information, and provide the generated statistical information to the advertiser and advertisement medium. Accordingly, the advertiser may refer to the provided statistical information to perform the calculation along with an analysis of advertising effects from selection of different advertisement mediums, and the advertisement medium may refer to the statistical information to perform the calculation and ascertain statuses of uses of the advertisement medium.
FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating an advertising method according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
First, an advertising system 600 implemented using AD linker may receive offline advertisement information or online advertisement information from an advertiser 601.
The advertising system 600 may forward the advertisement information to an advertisement medium 602.
The advertisement medium 602 may post the advertisement information on an online medium/offline medium 604.
The information posted to the offline medium 604 may be exposed to an offline customer 605. The information posted on the online medium 604 may be exposed to an online customer 605.
The offline/online customer 605 with a desire to purchase may contact an Internet site for sales/a telemarketer 603 to purchase the advertised product. The advertising system 600 may receive a number of times each product is purchased or sales information from the internet site for sales/telemarketer 603.
Also, the advertising system 600 may provide calculation information including the number of times each product is purchased or the sales information to the advertiser 601 and the advertisement medium 602. Consequently, the advertiser 601 and the advertisement medium 602 may calculate advertising costs based on the number of times of each product is purchased or the sales information.
According to the present invention, it is possible to objectively calculate advertising costs based on objective sales information according to an increase of sales for both an advertiser and an advertisement medium by providing objective sales information between the advertiser and the advertisement medium.
Also, according to the present invention, it is possible to calculate advertising costs based on sales information which helps to consider suitable and economical profits of advertising between an advertiser and an advertisement medium by connecting the advertiser to an online/offline medium. Also, according to the present invention, it is possible to calculate advertising costs based on sales information helping an advertiser and an advertisement medium to budget for advertising activities by providing statistical information regarding pending advertisement information and advertisement information which is processed to date.
The advertising method according to the above-described exemplary embodiments may be recorded in computer-readable media including program instructions to implement various operations embodied by a computer. The media may also include, alone or in combination with the program instructions, data files, data structures, and the like. Examples of computer-readable media include magnetic media such as hard disks, floppy disks, and magnetic tape; optical media such as CD ROM disks and DVD; magneto-optical media such as optical disks; and hardware devices that are specially configured to store and perform program instructions, such as read-only memory (ROM), random access memory (RAM), flash memory, and the like. The media may also be a transmission medium such as optical or metallic lines, wave guides, and the like, including a carrier wave forwarding signals specifying the program instructions, data structures, and the like. Examples of program instructions include both machine code, such as produced by a compiler, and files containing higher level code that may be executed by the computer using an interpreter. The described hardware devices may be configured to act as one or more software modules in order to perform the operations of the above-described embodiments of the present invention.
Although a few embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, the present invention is not limited to the described embodiments. Instead, it would be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made to these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined by the claims and their equivalents.

Claims

1. An advertising method capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information, the method comprising: forwarding advertisement information inputted from an advertiser to an advertisement medium, and allocating a calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertisement information; posting the advertisement information via the advertisement medium on a medium; receiving sales information being generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information on the medium from the advertising; updating the calculation information within the allocated calculation field using the received sales information; and enabling a calculation process between the advertiser and the advertisement medium by forwarding the updated calculation information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium.
2. The method of claim 1, further comprising: receiving an identifier from the advertisement medium, the identifier being generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information via the advertisement medium, and forwarding the received identifier to the advertiser, wherein the advertiser or the advertisement medium performs calculating advertising costs using a rate depending on the forwarded calculation information and the identifier, and processing the calculation process by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the identifier is granted on the medium posted on the advertising information.
4. The method of claim 1, wherein the sales information comprises a number of times the posted advertisement information is exposed, and the updating of the calculation information comprises: recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed; and updating the calculation information by summing up a number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during an established advertising period.
5. The method of claim 4, wherein the advertiser or the adverting medium performs: calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate and the summed number of times being exposed, and processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the sales information comprises a number of times of each advertisement medium where the advertisement information is posted is exposed, and the updating of the calculation information comprises: recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed based on the advertisement medium; and updating the calculation information for each advertisement medium by summing up the number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during an established advertising period.
7. The method of claim 6, wherein the advertiser or the advertisement medium performs: calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate for each advertisement medium and the summed number of times being exposed, and processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
8. The method of claim 1, wherein the sales information comprises a number of times each product is purchased being generated via the advertising information, and the updating of the calculation information comprises: calculating an amount of sales by multiplying a purchasing price of the product and the number of times each product is purchased; recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed; and updating the calculation information by summing up amounts of sales for all sales within the established advertising period.
9. The method of claim 8, wherein the advertiser or the advertisement medium performs: calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate and the summed up amounts of sales; and processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
10. The method of claim 1, further comprising: forwarding a stop request signal in relation to suspension of the posting the advertisement information on the medium when the stop request signal the advertising is received from the advertiser.
11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the allocating of the calculation field to the advertiser comprises: processing authentication with respect to the advertiser; and allocating the calculation field to an authenticated advertiser according to a result of the authentication process.
12. The method of claim 1, further comprising: providing the advertiser with a table for advertisement organization of the advertisement medium.
13. The method of claim 1, further comprising: generating statistical information in relation to the advertising information by referring to the forwarded calculation information; providing the advertiser or the advertisement medium with the generated statistical information.
14. The method of claim 1, wherein, when the advertising information consists of subtitles including at least one of characters, signals, figures, and icons, the posting of the advertising information on the medium comprises: streaming the advertising information in the subtitles in a predetermine display area on the medium.
15. At least one computer-readable storage medium storing instructions for implementing the method of any one of claims 1 through 14.
16. An advertising system capable of calculating advertising costs based on sales information, the method comprising: a forwarding unit forwarding advertising information inputted from an advertiser, and allocating a calculation field within the allocated calculation field to the advertiser in relation to the forwarding of the advertising information; an interface unit receiving sales information being generated in relation to posting of the advertisement information on the medium by the advertisement medium; an update unit updating calculation information in the calculation field using the received sales information; and another forward unit enabling a calculation process between the advertiser and the advertisement medium by forwarding the updated calculation information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium.
17. The system of claim 16, wherein the interface unit receives an identifier from the advertisement medium, the identifier being generated in relation to the posting of the advertisement information from the advertisement medium, and the other forward unit forwards the received identifier to the advertiser, and the advertiser or the advertisement medium performs calculating advertising costs using a rate depending on the forwarded calculation information and the identifier, and processing the calculation process by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
18. The system of claim 17, wherein the identifier is granted on the medium posted on the advertising information.
19. The system of claim 16, wherein the sales information comprises a number of times the posted advertisement information is exposed, and the update unit comprises a recording unit and an updating unit, the recording unit recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed, and the updating unit updating the calculation information by summing up a number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during in an established advertising period.
20. The system of claim 19, wherein the transmission unit comprises: a calculation unit calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate and the summed number of times being exposed; and a calculation processing unit processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
21. The system of claim 16, wherein the sales information comprises a number of times of each advertisement medium where the advertisement information is posted being exposed, and the updating unit comprises: a recording unit recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding the time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed, and an updating unit updating the calculation information for each advertisement medium by summing up the number of times the advertisement information is exposed corresponding to all exposures during an established advertising period.
22. The system of claim 21 , wherein the transmission unit comprises: a calculation unit calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate for each advertisement medium and the summed number of times being exposed; and a calculation processing unit processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
23. The system of claim 16, wherein the sales information comprises a number of times each product is purchased being generated via the advertising information, and the updating unit comprises: a calculation unit calculating an amount of sales by multiplying a purchasing price of the product and a number of times each product is purchased; a recording unit recording, in the calculation field, a result of corresponding a time when the sales information is received to the number of times the advertisement information is exposed; and an updating unit updating the calculation information by summing up amounts of sales for all sales within the established advertising period.
24. The system of claim 23, wherein the transmission unit comprises: a calculation unit calculating the advertising costs by multiplying a rate and the summed up amounts of sales; and a calculation processing unit processing the calculation by referring to the calculated advertising costs.
25. The system of claim 16, wherein the transmission unit forwards the updated calculation information to the advertiser or the advertisement medium at a predetermined time.
