If you sight your rifle at 25 yards - will the impact point be the same when you shoot a target at 10-15 yards as it would if you shoot a target at 25 yards? No. The bullet will strike lower on the target at the closer range. That's because the gun's sight is not “looking” at the same spot as the barrel is shooting at.
