Product - FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050

Hi,

I had to do a press image for my company’s website. It’s a back view showing one of our newest products. First I thought about taking a photo, but we are releasing so many new products these days that I decided to do a CG version with Blender/YafRay. Now I can easily modify the connectors if needed :D.

I’m quite happy with the result, it’s my second YafRay work and it convinced my boss ;). The only thing I’d like to improve is the translucency of the red cover part. Any hints?

>>>Here’s a link to the real thing - click on ‘Details’ to see the translucency of the cover part.

Cheers

Thorsten

cool work … really neat :)… i personally would change the font on the red surface over the top…

btw you found a good boss

Looks really nice! Only the text on top of it seems a little bit blocky, did you use full OSA on that?

Very clean!

nice work as usual. mind sharing a quick summary of your yafray settings?

Do you know how to have transpaent material? if you do, try turning the fresnel down.

Thanks guys! I got a hint how to improve the red cover’s shader over at www.yafray.org and maybe I’ll be back with an update soon…

tumtidum: I think the blocky font is caused by resizing - I rendered the original in 2138x1536 (for printing) and it looks right. By the way, I don’t think YafRay takes care of the Full Osa parameter, but I may be wrong…

choice3d: Sure, here are my settings:

Ah, that seems like a logical explanation.

You may be right aswell, actually I wouldn’t know because I’m just not that familiar with Yafray yet… %|
