Ryan, I received the seven sashes today that I ordered only a couple weeks ago. They are beautiful and look much better quality than the Caradco sashes they are replacing. Your attention to detail is second to NONE. In fact, they look so good, I may replace the others that haven’t rotted yet. I’m also replacing the glass units in these sashes with a quality low E glass unit. I couldn’t be happier and look forward to doing business with you again.

I am looking for balance covers (i think) for caradco windows . They were damaged (melted) in having to treat a home for bedbugs. Is this something that can be replaced easily. I have looked at the double hung balance or jammliner replacement and it looks similar. I have no knowledge about hanging windows so it is very confusing.
Teresa, Yes our jambliner kits will work for most Caradco window models. If you’re having difficulty with the terminology, I recommend getting a window professional involved to help you with this project.
Thank you. I have spoken to some one more knowledgeable than myself and they would like me to inquire about getting only the vinyl covering not the mechanics . The mechanical part of the window units are fine it is just the cosmetic part the was damaged.

Our kits come pre-assembled from the manufacturer. Its going to come with the balances whether you use them or not.

Chris, We don’t do much with wood frame components any more. We’ve found most contractors prefer to make their own parts on site.
I have 15 Caradco Wood Clad casement windows that are 17 years old . The wood is rotting. I am looking to replace all the sashes. The glass is in excellent condition with no leaks . where do I start?……I just looked at my blue prints for my house and they show #2456-2 for the rooms with (2) crank out windows.. I am wanting to know what is the approximate cost to replace the sash or would it be cheaper to replace the entire window.
Dean, Thanks for the interest. We can certainly help! You’re gonna want to look at our sash rebuild kits if you just want to replace the rotten wood, but reuse the glass. No one specifically Joe, but glass is not brand specific. Any residential glass company can replace that glass for you. I’m sure there are several in the Pittsburgh area.
We have Caradco windows that have some rotten bottom rails there is no model number in the window itself but I found a number on the frame. The number there is 076-N-201. Does that make any sense and can you help in the replacement parts. I have a picture of the rail that I can send along with the measurements.

I am looking for the crank mechanism for a window that measures 21″ x 40″ including the interior frame. The part that cranks out is approximately 12″ x 31″. I don’t want, nor do I need to replace the window. Please help, the window is inoperable at this time! Thank you!
Denise, We don’t do much on the hardware side of things. Try a Google search for “window hardware”. There’s a good half dozen hardware companies that can help you with that.
We have a Caradco Heritage II primed twin window. The window on the left side isn’t cranking out but the crank turns with no effect. First of all…..how do we get the cover for the mechanism off so we can discover what the problem is. Thanks so much.
Ed, yeah, common problem. The gear is just stripped in the operator. The cover should be screwed down. There should be screws in the track where the screen sits. They might be puttied over why you can’t see them.

If you just have one, you’re probably not going to justify the delivery charges depending on where you are located, but you are certainly welcome to order a new sash from our website, https://fenstersusa.com. The glass can be replaced if you go that route. I would have a local glass company come out and look at that for you. I’m sure there are several in your area if you do a search for residential glass companies. By window dividers I think you mean wood grill inserts? I have Caradco windows throughout this house, built in 1993. There are wooden mullions in each window, secured by little pins inside plastic casings which go in holes in the mullions to hold them into the windwo frames. I am selling my house and close in 3 weeks. I need four mullions and cannot figure out where to get them. I have only owned the house for 4 years. Can you help?

How do I replace the spring in a single hung Carado window. I see no way of getting to the spring.
Gary, You have to remove the sashes and the vinyl jambliners. The springs slide out of the top of the track.
