British cycling brand Raleigh has announced the return of its classic Chopper model, with the heritage brand revitalizing the limited-edition bike in a modernized fashion as it looks back at memories from the 1970s and beyond.

Although the new version of the Chopper has now been unveiled, the original model is still being bided for at auction regularly. However, this latest version of the bike is more or less a carbon copy of the OG, although some minor tweaks have been added.

Fans of the Nottingham-made bike will still be able to enjoy the one-piece saddle and mid-frame gear shifter that became synonymous with the original, however, the sissy bar has been slightly lowered to give enhanced support when on the move.

Meanwhile, this new-and-improved version of the Chopper welcomes a reworked CNC head tube, one-piece handlebar, and stem, as well as a British-made three-speed shifter unit.

“The Raleigh Chopper is the most iconic bike Raleigh has ever made,” Lee Kidger, Raleigh’s marketing director said. “Selling millions of units worldwide during the ’70s; the Chopper cemented its place in British culture and to this day evokes a feeling of nostalgia for the era.”

You can take a closer look at the new Chopper bike above and it will be available to purchase via the official Raleigh website from June 20.
