On this week's edition of Turtle Bay Tuesday, Preston Donion And Sharon Clay got together to meet Gucci the Opossum.

Clay told us that Gucci is an Opossum, which is a distinctly different animal from a possum. She told us that the opossum is the only marsupial native to North America.

She said that Opossums eat about 5000 ticks a summer, making them one of the most effective pest control animals in the Northstate.

Fun facts about the Opossums include their immunity to rattlesnake venom and their inability to spread the rabies virus due to their internal body temperature being too low for the virus to survive.

If you want to learn more about this backyard bestie, you can get the behind-the-scenes experience at Turtle Bay.

They say for members it's $60 per person, and if you're not a member it's $75.

What you'll get to do is come and hang out with Gucci. You'll have the opportunity to hold, pet, and even feed Gucci. They say it's a great opportunity to make an amazing connection with the animal that you maybe wouldn't get another way. It's also a perfect gift for anybody who's an animal lover out there.

You can check out Turtle Bay's Behind the Scenes experience, for your chance to take a walk on the wild side.
