The fugitive partner of accused hockey-mom madam Anna Gristina also lived a double life.
Manhattan prosecutors say Jaynie Mae Baker is a high-class hooker booker, but those who know the professional matchmaker describe her as a modern-day Mother Teresa.
“She’s just a loyal, caring person who is involved in charities who would give a person the shirt off her back,” said Lisa Clampett, who hired Baker as a recruiter for her upscale dating service six months ago.

“She raised money for children in India, a lot of animal and children’s causes,” said Clampett, who met the strawberry-blond sweetheart a decade ago at a charity function.
Baker, who is expected to surrender to authorities as early as this week, dedicated herself to Shelby Shelter, a Texas-based animal charity started by her sister Jessica last year.
A bubbly Baker is seen in a YouTube video loudly counting out piles of cash as she sits cross-legged on the floor.
But rather than fees from high-end johns, the money is the collection from a 2011 Shelby Shelter raffle.
“It’s drawing time. Hooray!” Baker cheers as she shakes the raffle jugs.
Traces of her kindheartedness are sprinkled across the Internet.
In April 2010, Baker gave a charity cash to help Oscar, a rescued purebred Airedale terrier.
A year earlier, she helped organize a fund-raiser called New York Goes to India.
The $60- to $100-a-ticket blackjack night was held at the Mott restaurant on Mott and Broome streets.
Funds raised at the pretend-gambling event went to support the United Nations’ Children’s Fund and Rainbow Trust Charity.
