Japan-via-NYC poly-pop duo Cibo Matto haven't put out a record since the late 1990s, but today brings good news for those who have been admiring the awesome Michel Gondry-directed video for "Sugar Water" for the past decade-plus. The band's back together again, with plans to tour and release new material.Following reunions for Japan relief concerts earlier this year, Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori are set to hit the road for strings of West and East Coast dates in June and July, respectively. A press release notes that Cibo Matto have been writing a new album set for release in early 2012, and that "they may stream some of these new songs on their new website" as the tour dates get closer.
