Baal worship today.

Who is Baal in the Bible?

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come”   ~2 Timothy 3:1

“But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house? Then they will answer, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.”   ~2 Chronicles 7:19-22

Yes, this is referring to what happened to Israel because of their unfaithfulness to the word of God, but it’s also referring to the people of the end-time church as well. This is the same situation and final consequence that will occur in end-times. The above verse starts by relaying a certain condition that will cause these ultimate results… if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My Commandments.

In stark contrast is the following verse which states the ultimate results of doing or keeping God’s Commandments.

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”   ~Revelation 22:14

This verse is at the very end of the Bible, on the very last page to be exact. This fact is proof that these Commandments, in addition to not being done away with, are also a condition to entering into eternity!

So, what exactly does this have to do with the pagan god Baal? The majority of modern-day Christians have no clue that they are worshipping wrong. They are unaware that they are serving other gods simply by turning away from God’s Commandments. They’ve inadvertently fallen into a trap the devil set for those who don’t know the word of God. If we don’t know God’s Commandments, how can we possibly keep them?

With this knowledge, let’s look at who we are worshipping by understanding how we are worshipping. And how we are to worship is very plainly spelled out in God’s infallible word.

God tells us how to worship Him multiple times throughout the entire Bible, from the beginning to the very end. He reiterates this in a multitude of ways because it seems to be of the greatest importance. First and foremost, He tells us to keep His Ten Commandments.

We are seeing an increase in frequency as well as the intensity of natural disasters all over the world. The recent earthquakes in Mexico and Guatemala, the hurricane devastation of the Caribbean islands, as well as the extreme flooding in Texas, raging fires in Oregon, and now one of the worst hurricanes in history hitting Florida might make us begin to ponder this question. Why does God allow these things to happen when He could very well prevent them?
Here’s a bit of eye-opening truth…God is not to blame for these things! Sin is what has caused all of this planetary devolution to occur. We are living in a fallen world, a corrupted, deteriorating planet, along with everything on it. God is starting to remove His restraining hand from this world. So Satan is now unleashing his fury because he’s fully aware that his time is short. In the Bible God tells us of the coming of these end times events.

“Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”   ~Revelation 14:12

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” ~1 Peter 5:8

“And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.”   ~Luke 21:11

“So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” ~ Luke 21:31

The ultimate effect of sin is degradation. The falling apart of everything, from the breaking down of our physical bodies, (sickness, disease, pain, and suffering) to the degeneration of all existence, even the planet itself. The degeneration of everything . . . all living creatures, animals and even plants. As well as the worsening of the weather and increase of planetary devastation are all the byproduct and the effect of a broken and fallen world.

Can God stop it? Yes. Will He stop it? Yes, but not until every person has made their decision either for or against Jesus. Not until everyone has heard of the gift of salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus, and have made their choice, will this mess finally come to an end.

“And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations.” ~Mark 13:10

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” ~Matthew 24:14

The very first Commandment refers to not giving our allegiance to any other gods. The second is similar in that it’s telling us not to make images of anything and worship it, and it ends with a reminder to keep His Commandments. The third is to not take God’s name in vain, to not use it in any way except to summon Him in prayerful communication. And the fourth Commandment is the only one that starts with the word “Remember.” Clearly, God foreknew that it would be changed and forgotten.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”   ~Exodus 20:8-11

This day is so important to God because it points to Him as the Creator of everything! God created this day of rest as His last act of creation, as a gift to man—a time for man-kind to spend in communion with their Creator God. He chose the seventh day of rest and worship because it was the day that He rested from His work—the day He blessed and sanctified as the last day of the week—the end of His work of creation and the beginning of His relationship with us all.

“Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”   ~Genesis 2:1-3

By worshipping as He instructs us to, we are honoring Him as our Creator and God. The entire Bible is a lesson book on how we should follow after His ways, forsaking our convoluted ideas and holding solely to His Laws and Commandments.

Baal worship . . .

The Bible is very clear on the order of end times events. Jesus tells us what will happen and how to be on guard so we will recognize these things when they happen. Anyone that knows their Bible understands that these things will, and must happen before the second coming of the Lord Jesus!

Jesus compares these excessive signs of the times to that of a woman going into labor, the earth must heave to and fro and this is the beginning of birthing pangs.

The apostle, Paul writes about the how and when all this will happen when he said . . .

“But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.”   ~1 Thessalonians 5:1-3

So, if we’re not worshipping the God of the Bible, who are we worshipping? Who is this other god that we’ve been tricked into worshiping? And more importantly, how were we deceived for so many centuries? Is Baal worship still going on today and we don't even know it?

The Christian church has deviated so far from the word of God for so long, that it’s barely recognizable as Christianity anymore. There are so few denominations that truly keep the whole word of God, including His Commandments…and even they are falling away one by one.

Baal worship today.

Signs of Baal worship….

“But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.”   ~Romans 11:4 KJV

Simply put . . . at the end of the age, the beginning of sorrows or birth pangs will take place. We need to know what the Bible says in order to understand that everything is happening right on time. God has predicted everything through His servants the prophets, and will see us through it to the end if we just hold tightly to Him!

“That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming?”~2 Peter 3:2-4

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.“ ~Luke 21:28

Are we in the last days…?

What are some of the signs of Baal worship? Are we bowing to the creation rather than to the Creator? Are we worshipping when God told us to worship? If we worship on the pagan day of the sun, we are directly disobeying the word of God. God said the seventh day—the church of Rome said the first day!

How has this happened? How have we been led away into this system of false worship? The answer is simple, at some point, nearly all Christian denominations have followed after the Church of Rome. The Roman Catholic Church has ordained itself as the head of all Christian denominations, and they have decided to worship as their predecessors worshipped. They have incorporated pagan Baal sun-god worship into every aspect of Christianity. They have included idol and creation worship into the doctrine, changed the Sabbath, and most of us had absolutely no idea this was going on.

The Roman Catholic church doesn't keep this a secret. They actually brag about changing God's word.

"Sunday is our ecclesiastical mark of authority that the church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” (The Catholic Record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923).

By keeping Sunday, all Protestants have submitted to the Vatican's authority over them, without even knowing. Who will you honor? God or man?

We are still experiencing this forbidden form of worship, and it’s going on right under our noses. Even right here in the land of the free we are unknowingly surrendering to Baal worship in the United States.

Who is Baal in the Bible . . . ?

Baal was a cruel, sensuous, and revolting false god whose worship involved sexual degradation and lewdness. The god Baal was the heathen sun-god spoken of in the Old Testament. Various forms of Baal worship are still going on in the Catholic church; even though these pagan idols were incorporated into Catholicism centuries ago, the worship of the sun still exists to this day.

Despite the fact that modern-day Christian churches don’t openly worship the sun, unbeknownst to them, they do still worship on the venerable day of the sun…Sun-day, rather than the seventh day that the God of the Bible sanctified at creation. God reiterated this day of worship to Moses when He made it a Commandment at Sinai because He knew it would be forgotten.

You see, God numbered the days, then the ancient pagan cultures named them after their gods and goddesses. They named the 1st day/Sun-day after their sun-gods, the 2nd day/Monday after the moon deities, the 3rd day/Tuesday after the planet Mars, the 4th day/Wednesday after Mercury, and so on right on up to the 7th day— the day God blessed and sanctified as His holy Sabbath day—the day to commensurate God resting from all of His Creation. It’s no coincidence that the word sabbath actually means rest in both Hebrew and in Greek.

You tell me. The following verses paint a pretty clear picture regarding every aspect of life as far as I’m concerned.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” ~2 Timothy 3:1-5

“… In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”  ~Jude 1:18ESV

”But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” ~Matthew24:37

”For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful.”   ~Romans 1:26-31

”For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” ~Matthew 24:7&21

”For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” ~Matthew 24:21

“And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”   ~Genesis 2:2-3

Even though the Bible is clear that God sanctified the seventh day in the Garden of Eden at creation, we have been deceived into believing somehow this was changed because Jesus rose from the grave on the first day of the week.

And even though God restated His chosen day of rest by making it a Commandment, to this day we deviate to the false worship on the pagan’s sun-God day because this is what we were taught to do, not because the word of God tells us to. Nowhere in the Bible does it say we are to worship on the first day of the week.

God knew His sanctified day would be forgotten—He knew we would forget to acknowledge Him as the Creator of the Universe. At the very core of this holy day is the acknowledgment of God as the Creator of everything.

“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”   ~Genesis 20:8-11

Wouldn’t you say this sounds exactly how things are in this very day and age? There’s such an enormous surge in wickedness of every kind. Crime is running rampant, murder and rape are at an all time high. Sexual immorality, pornography, multiple sex partners, indulgence in unnatural lust/homosexuality/incest/ transgenderism, and abortion, as well as overindulgence in every possible thing. Pride and greed have become the all-consuming ruler of this present world.

Oh yes, I’d have to say we are most definitely heading into the last days. God tells us that once this order of event starts, it will not end until everything that God has predicted happens. And this is all the more reason to believe that soon Jesus will come again to execute judgment upon the evildoers and restore order, peace, love, and justice upon this earth.

Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.“ ~Luke 21:25-28

“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” ~Matthew 24:34

Clearly, the majority of the world is choosing to reject God and His grace filled offer of redemption. However, there is still time for you to choose to give your heart to Jesus. You will then receive the seal of God (Revelation 7:2-3) and be protected when the four winds are totally released and Satan has full control of this world. Oh yes, God’s people shall be delivered, that is a promise!
