Fuck, it’s been a while, and now the year is over. What the fuck.

Earlier this year, I released a tape titled “Nihil Dicit” on Deathbed Tapes. It’s sold out, but you can get a digital version for $2 here. Related: I would love to get this repressed as a 12″. Contact me if you’d like to make that happen.

After a year and a half of recording, editing, re-recording, re-editing, tooling, trashing, destroying and rebuilding, “That Which Has Been Forgotten,” my latest full length for Malignant Records, is available. You can buy it here. The album features collaborations with Naxal Protocol (“Bliss/Wrath”) and Eidulon (“Slow Degradation”). A video for “Slow Degradation,” created by Eidulon, can be viewed below:

Work has been in progress for two new tapes, both of which will be released sometime in 2020, probably earlier in the year. One tape tentatively titled “Repellent,” will be released through Cloister Recordings. The other, definitively titled “Sometimes It’s Easier To Kill Somebody Else,” will be released via Hostile.1 Tapes, a new label run by mastering engineer extraordinaire and Stress Orphan provocateur Eric Trude.

I played a few shows this year. One in Brooklyn, two in Providence. I also played once under my own name, where I performed a live soundtrack to an extremely condensed version of the film “Threads.” A DVD release of my version of the film has been discussed with a local label, and I hope it will materialize in 2020.

A new release has been birthed. “Further” is a 42 minute cassette released by Gutter Bloat.

“It was 11 months ago to the day, The Vomit Arsonist released “Meditations On Giving Up Completely.” It was his darkest and most dire to date, and “Further” collects material recorded around the same time as the Meditations sessions. Heavy, decayed synths and violent rhythms with strained, harsh vocals. Just over 40 minutes of the highest quality bleak, rupturing death industrial we’ve come to expect from the project.”

I have copies for sale, but I highly encourage you to support the label and purchase from them. Malignant Records and Cloister Recordings also have copies. European distribution is in the works.

The aforementioned Cloister Recordings will be releasing “The Icy Bleakness of Things,” the latest collaboration between myself and Theologian. Cassette preorders and digital versions are available on Bandcamp. Official release date is May 11, 2018.

I am currently finishing up a 40-ish minute cassette release for Smrt Productions; although it is still untitled, it should be considered something of an extension of the “Meditations..” album. Five tracks, all of which were recorded during the “Meditations..” sessions but went unused due to my not wanting to release an 80 minute album.. I’ve found it’s better to take these things in smaller doses.

Following that, I will resume work on a CD release for Death Continues Records.

After the completion of that CD, I will begin anew. I’m eager to shed the material I’ve been toiling over for the past year; I haven’t started fresh– building brand new material from the ground up– in quite a while.

I have no live performances lined up in any capacity. The only thing I had booked this year (besides the NO WORKERS PARADISE release show earlier this month) was APEX XX, which has been cancelled. Feel free to reach out if you want to see me somewhere.

Facebook is really the place to be to stay up to date on any info — I post over there far more than here.. clearly.  Anyway..

New release: “Gone,” a three song cassette released by Mask of the Slave from Romania.  60 copies, hand numbered.  Nearly every sound on this tape was created using a Korg MS-20 mini.  Get them from the label for now.  Working on stateside distribution.

Next planned release is a C20 called “Weight,” to be released by VCTM MPCT.  Hopefully out by this year’s end.  It will be fairly limited.  More information when I have some.

Work on a new full length is nearing completion, about 75% done.  This will be a CD for Malignant Records, tentatively titled “Meditations On Giving Up Completely.”  I hope to have the recording finalized by the end of 2016.

I will be performing at Tommy’s in Providence, RI on 11/12/16 with Vehement Caress, Birdlady, and Lingua Ignota.  Visuals by Elizabeth Virosa (Snowbeasts).  This will likely be the last show of the year, at least locally, although I’m not totally certain of that.
