So sorry to hear about Bobby. He certainly was a man of faith & love. He lived for the Lord & everyone he came in contact with knew it. He is home now & all his pain & sorrows are gone. He was truly a good friend to both of us. Will certainly be in our prayers.

Bobby was my uncle. I remember when uncle Bobby taught me to water ski, but failed to mention if my skis came off let go of the rope. Well needless to say we laughed and I got a good drink of water, this was at our youth church retreat. But Bobby was as my Aunt Mary, ALWAYS putting others first. When the good Lord put Mary & Bobby together they were true soulmates.

Many years ago Bobby took me under his wing and took me on visitation each week at Westwood. Listening to him pray at the hospital and help others was inspirational. He also was not afraid to correct you when you needed it. He would start with “I’m just being honest” and the next sentence would be something you didn’t want to hear but you needed to hear. Such a great mentor. He will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Mary, I am so sorry for your loss!! Bobby was such a sweet man and I’ll always remember how much he loved my Katie when she was little. I loved to hear him tell me how she have him her (glow in the dark) star and he hung it by the door so he would see it and think of her every time he went out. She just loved him! He left an amazing legacy and impact on so many. Sadly, I will not be able to make it to his service, as much as I would love to be there. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

What a true Southern gentleman Bobby was-kind, gentle, caring, compassionate Christian man who brought joy and inspiration to all he came in contact. He always told each of us when leaving that if he did not see us down here; he would see us up there as he pointed toward Heaven. God bless his family in the days ahead without his presence. He loved them and thought of them as he lie in bed going to his heavenly home--Sincerely and with love--Earleen Center

Bobby will always hold a very special place in our hearts. His kindness, laughter, patience and love marked our lives as young parents. He smiled so big as our youngest girls called him "Bob" alongside their name of Grandma for Mary. Both of them treated our girls like grandkids and were so important to them as children. Bobby gave of himself and his home to selflessly love on those of us blessed to be near.

There are so many wonderful memories after living beside Bobby for many years but the the ones that have stuck out most in the past couple days is how much he enjoyed spending time with the youth at Westwood Baptist Church when my children were in that youth group. There were lots of lake days where he pulled numerous kids on the tube and boat rides.
