My favorite blackstrap molasses for use in coffee, over ice cream, oatmeal, and for recipes when I want intense sweetness at the forefront. It has a deep dark caramel-like flavor, not a tangy flavor like some blackstrap (and all regular). This is special. Super black, super thick and slow flowing. Absolutely adore it by the spoonful. I cant do that with other molasses, which isnt to say those are bad. I happen to keep a variety of molasses on hand for different uses. Most are fine for use in basic recipes and sauces. I just like this specific one for off the spoon consumption (or as mentioned above, in coffee, oats, even on ice cream).

I ordered this item 3 times in a two week period. Each time the bottle leaked into the padding/bubble wrap. The problem is the bottle has a seal around the bottle cap but does not have a seal on the top of the bottle . On the bottle label there is a statement 'Some foam at the top is normal for this crude molasses.' This foam, plus movement in delivery is the reason it leaks. When I cleaned up the last bottle, removed the outer seal from the cap and opened the bottle I heard an air sound as if opening a soda. Also, the cap was not tightened completely.
