Beauty Talks with Miss Serbia 2018 Ivana Trišic

Talking to Miss Serbia 2018 has turned out a truly delightful event. Ivana Trišic was crowned Miss Serbia 2018 on on 11th October 2017. She will represent Serbia at the Miss World 2018 competition, where Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be crowning her successor.

Ivana is 21 years of age and hails from Obrenovac, Belgrade. She bested 20 other candidates to clinch the coveted title of Miss Serbia 2018. She is currently the final year student of law and aspires to become a famous lawyer one day so as to fulfil the promise she has given to her late mother.

She is not just a beautiful face but is also known for her social works. "Do well to others and it will come back to you," is what she believes in.  Her role model is Irina Shayk, one of the most beautiful models in the world who also does humanitarian work, and she loves Monica Belucci for her femininity and classical beauty.

So without further ado, let’s get to know Miss Serbia 2018 Ivana Trišic a bit better.

Q. How does it feel to be crowned as Miss Serbia 2018?

Since October last year, when I became Miss Serbia, my life changed completely. First I won the title of Miss Belgrade, which enabled me to directly qualify for the finals. I could not believe when last year's winner Andelija Rogic handed me the crown. I feel very honored and I cannot wait to find out which country will host Miss World.

Q. What is the best lesson you’ve learnt in your journey as the delegate of Miss Serbia 2018?

So far this is an unforgettable experience. I had the opportunity to visit Morocco and France where I spoke to the Serbian ambassador about potential humanitarian activities. I learned that it is most important to be patient and that all our ideas can be achieved if we give our maximum.

Q. What is the one thing that keeps you going and inspires you to be the best version of yourself?

Learning new things has always been a great motivator for me. In every job I've had, I believe I've always been able to learn something new. I am also inspired by people who are struggling for their dreams, who erase prejudices and barriers that society sets us up.

Q. We would love to know more about your advocacy and what drove you to choose it?

My advocacy is to inform women to take care of their health. Every year, a thousand women die from cancer. A lot of them today would be among us if they had regular preventive examinations with a doctor. One of these women is my late mother, who unfortunately recently lost her battle with cancer. I plan to organize several activities to inform women about cancer. I want them to know how healthy nutrition and exercise is important to our health

Q. How would you like to represent yourself at the national stage at Miss Serbia 2018?

I want to introduce myself as a young, socially engaged woman who is ready to change the world for the better.

Q. We have got to know that you recently lost your mother. Our sincere condolences. But what values of hers do you wish you could inculcate in your own life, and teach the next generation?

Thank you for sincere condolence. My mother was my best friend. She always told me: If you do a good job for others, you heal yourself at the same time, because a dose of joy is a spiritual cure. It transcends all barriers.

Q. If you could be invisible for a day, how would you like to spend it?

Being invisible for a day will give me the opportunity to experience life in a completely new way. I would like to visit the world's greatest wonders, such as the pyramids, and to explore their hidden spaces.

Q. Would you like to share your most special childhood memory with us?

My most beautiful memories are related to family trips at sea. Remembering these memories brings me back to life when I was the happiest.

Q. What is the one thing you can label as your guilty pleasure?

A large number of people agree on one thing – the treasury of the smells and tastes of traditional Serbian cuisine is very hard to resist. Chocolate soufflé is my biggest weakness.

Q. We’re sure that this competition is another milestone in your life. What is that one thing that you ultimately want to achieve?

Miss World title is definitely my big dream. I would also like to graduate next year at the Law School and become a lawyer who will fight for the rights of women and children internationally.

Q. If you are granted 3 wishes right now, what would you ask for?

If I could choose three wishes, the first one would be to revive my mother, the second is the health for my family, the third to become a Miss World and to empower every woman.

Q. Lastly, is there any message that you would like to give to your fans of Angelopedia?

I want to thank all the fans for the great support they provide to all the girls that are competing. I am happy with the beautiful message that I receive from you and I will try to fulfill your expectations. Greetings from Serbia.
