Sex And The City's Chris Noth, 65, reveals his new quarantine buzzcut: 'I decided dealing with hair was superfluous during these times'

It's the era of crisis dye jobs and at-home quarantine cuts, and this iconic TV actor is getting in on the trend.

Chris Noth, also known as Mr. Big from Sex And The City, revealed a sleeker new hairstyle to his Instagram audience on Monday, uploading a selfie with his head shaved.

In the snap, the 65-year-old actor frowns slightly, his lustrous goatee still intact, as he bundles up in a black sweater.

'I decided dealing with hair was superfluous during these times of quarantine,' Chris captioned the shot.

And as she is often wont to do on his social media posts, Mr. Big's onscreen love Carrie Bradshaw, or rather Sarah Jessica Parker, made sure to comment.

'Why did you wait so long???? X' Parker, 55, wrote.

Chris, who recently became a father for a second time with wife Tara Wilson, had uploaded a selfie video just two weeks ago on his IG feed, that now serves as a delightful 'before' visual next to the new buzzcut shot.

The Law And Order actor shared a public service announcement earlier this month, in which he encouraged everyone to maintain social distancing.

'On behalf of the NYPD, I'd like to ask you to remember, as New Yorkers, we have to social distance, we have to stay inside until all of this passes,' Noth said to the camera.

'We can do it. We're tough, we're resilient and we have the best darn police force in the country,' he continued.

At the end of the message, Chris's unmistakable Mr. Big-style smile showed up, when he added, 'I'm not a cop, but I played one on TV.

'Stay safe, stay healthy, see you on the other side,' he concluded.

In February, the Good Wife actor became a father for a second time to baby son Keats, brother to their 12-year-old son Orion Christopher.

Noth and Wilson, a former beauty queen, tied the knot in April 2012.
