These Bama Rush OOTDs On TikTok Cost More Than All My Textbooks Combined

Y’all, Bama Rush SZN is in full swing again. In August 2021, Bama Rush content flooded nearly everybody’s TikTok For You Pages (FYPs), ranging from GRWMs to Bid Day reveals. This year, my FYP is full of “what’s in my rush bag,” videos, rush tips and tricks, and most importantly, my favorite videos this Rush SZN, OOTDs for Rush. Potential New Members (PNMs) and returning members have been slaying the outfit game this Rush SZN. But, for most of these OOTDs, it comes at a cost… like, a really big one.

Having a good outfit to impress your potential future sorority sisters and recruitment team is important, but it also is fun to express yourself through the clothes that you wear. While this can be done in an affordable manner, much of the Rush outfit content I see ranges anywhere from $400 to $1,000+ an outfit.

A lot of these rush outfits feature similar brands. I’ve seen many girls sporting Golden Goose sneakers, which range anywhere from $545 to $2,275. And that’s just the shoes!

Thankfully, TikTok makes it quite easy to find where these outfits are from and how much they cost. While a lot of the content surfacing on TikTok right now is showing expensive outfits, there are some girls who are sharing their more affordable (and still totally adorable) Rush outfits.

If you are rushing, or if you own some of these more expensive pieces, good for you! It’s more likely than not that these girls’ Cartier Love Rings or Golden Gooses weren’t bought specifically for rush. I picked out a range of videos as a guide and linked nearly all of the items in the OOTDs. There’s major outfit inspo here, ranging from the girl on a bit of a budget (aka me) to the girl ready to spend all of her life savings on an outfit.

Bella Reaves

Reaves’ videos have been getting a lot of traction this Rush SZN because of her trendy, cute outfits, but also because of how much they cost.

Here is a breakdown of (nearly) all the items in Reaves’ Bama Rush Day 1 outfit and how much they cost:

Grand Total: $5,346

Alexis Gorin

Gorin has been sharing her OOTDs for rush alongside her roommate. She wears cute, trendy outfits that are not super expensive, but come with a bit of a price tag.

Here is a breakdown of most of her Day 1 outfit items and how much they cost (I couldn’t find every item she wore because some were from local boutiques!):

Grand Total: $355

Lauren Huber

Huber has been creating OOTD Rush content this SZN alongside her roommates, and her bubbly personality and cute outfits have been some of my favorites. Her accessories and clothing items are pretty fairly priced.

Here is a breakdown of (most of the) items she wore for Day 5 and how much they cost:

Grand Total: $210

Bri McCurdy

McCurdy has been one of my favorite people to watch this Rush SZN because her outfits are… really expensive. She is bubbly and has great style! Even though most of what she wears is not priced normally for many people, it’s still fun to share her outfits.

Here is a breakdown of (most of the) items she wore on Day 2 and how much they cost:

Grand Total: $22,285 (WTF).

Bella Grace Gates

Gates has by far been my favorite person to watch this Rush SZN. She is incredibly kind, motivating, and gives great advice. She also has had some great outfits.

Here is a breakdown of (most of the) items she wore on Day 1 and how much they cost:

Grand Total: $466

While most of these accessories and clothing items are on the pricier side, there is still definitely some inspo here for all budgets. If I learned one thing from all of these videos, it’s that I need to buy some Kendra Scott jewelry so I can be a true Bama Rush fan. And maybe I’ll even place an order from the Pants Store…
