Laurence Anyways actor Jacob Tierney and Mad Men‘s Jessica Pare will star in Lovesick, a film from writer-director Tyson Caron.
The Canadian film centers on thirtysomething Dash (Tierney), a depressed mural artist who goes on a journey of self-discovery when his ex (Pare) gets engaged to a man she barely knows. With his life crumbling around him, Dash turns to psychotherapy to navigate through the confusing labyrinth of love and the harsh realities of growing up.
Entertainment One (eOne) has nabbed Canadian rights to the feature, which also features an appearance by Jay Baruchel.
Kyle Irving of Eagle Vision is producing with the participation of Telefilm Canada and Manitoba Film & Music. Lisa Meeches of Eagle Vision and Tierney are executive producing. Production is slated to begin in Winnipeg on Sept. 8.
