How To Use:

  • Minocycline comes as a regular capsule, a pellet-filled capsule, and an extended-release tablet to take by mouth.
  • The capsule and pellet-filled capsule is usually taken twice a day (every 12 hours) or four times a day (every 6 hours).
  • The extended-release tablet is usually taken once a day to treat acne.
  • Minocycline can be taken with or without food.
  • Drink a full glass of water with each dose.
  • Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.
  • Take minocycline exactly as directed.
  • Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

  • IF ANY TETRACYCLINE IS USED DURING PREGNANCY OR IF THE PATIENT BECOMES PREGNANT WHILE TAKING THESE DRUGS, THE PATIENT SHOULD BE APPRISED OF THE POTENTIAL HAZARD TO THE FETUS.
  • Minocycline hydrochloride extended-release tablets should not be used during pregnancy or by individuals of either gender who are attempting to conceive a child
