‘I never wanted to change my teeth’

.

“Mad Men” actress Jessica Paré is on the latest cover of New York magazine, and the profile touches on a quirky feature of hers that some think she should fix, but others find charming. The show is actually the second time in which the subject of Paré’s teeth have found their way into a script — the first was when she appeared in the movie, “Lost and Delirious”.

Apparently Paré’s “Mad Men” character, aspiring actress Megan Draper, isn’t as used to the attention over her quirky smile as Paré has become.

From New York:

[“Mad Men” creator Matt] “Weiner found himself drawn to Paré’s gap-toothed smile. Her teeth are so distinctive he even wrote a scene in which Megan recalls being told she could never be an actress because of them. Paré doesn’t understand all the fuss. ‘I forget about them because they’re in my face and they do their job just great. I never get anything stuck in them.’ ”

In 2010, Paré  told the magazine, “I’m actually really self-conscious about them. But I never wanted to change my teeth because they’re mine, and I don’t know what I’d look like without them.”

What do you think? Does Paré need cosmetic dentistry?
