Cohort of ‘Madam’ stressed

-

WE SHOULD all look so good when stres`sed out.

Jaynie Mae Baker, the stunning strawberry blond co-defendant in the case of the Manhattan Soccer Mom Madam, is feeling the pressure of the criminal raps she faces, her lawyer said Friday.

The 30-year-old beauty, accused of helping upstate suburban mom Anna Gristina run a $10 million prostitution ring in Manhattan, had her stomach tied in knots during a brief court appearance Friday, the lawyer said.

But Baker’s looks hid her nerves.

She was fit and quite fine in a slim, sleeveless taupe summer dress and black patent leather Mary Janes.

In her brief turn in front of Judge Juan Merchan, her lawyer, Robert Gottlieb, demanded that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office share all of its evidence — and fast.

“This is a burden,” he argued. “She has serious charges hanging over her. She takes the charges seriously.”

Both Baker and Gristina have been charged with promoting prostitution.

Gottlieb said he has not received any information from the district attorney’s office that indicates evidence they have against his client. “We would like to obtain all the (surveillance) tapes,” he said. “Additionally, all applications for search warrants, I would ask be turned over to me immediately.”

Gristina is still jailed on Rikers Island. Her case is also in the discovery phase.

Gottlieb said Baker is helping to prepare the case — but said not to read too much into that.

“This has nothing to do with plea negotiations. We will do what we need to do to prepare for trial,” he said. She is due back in court on June 29.
