Pieris japonica 'Valley Valentine'

$26

Valley Valentine is a showy pieris that features colorful blossoms that start to show in spring (our photos were taken in March). The oblong leaves reach up to 3.5" long, emerge with a bronze hue, and arrive at a rich dark green. The foliage creates an excellent canvas backdrop to make the lovely blooms stand out to the eye. We recommend removing spent blooms. New flower buds often form in late summer and winter over with lots of visual character against the evergreen foliage backdrop.

Generally deer resistant and shade tolerant, these shrubs offer a mounded growth habit that can reach 4' tall and 5' wide. Good for mass planting, hedgerows, borders and standalone planting. Be sure to plant in well-draining soil, with full sun to partial shade. Hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill.
